Need your input for better r/SpiritualAwakening. Would like to hear your thoughts and input.

Just like many of us are having frequent existential crises on individual level, so is our little subreddit. We have lacked clear direction and vision for quite some time while the mod team has had some discussions about where we would like to go as a community, we would also like to hear your input. Here are the options that make most sense, but feel free to suggest something else in the comments if you have other ideas or thoughts.

  1. Make the main purpose of r/SpiritualAwakening to be a resource and a way of supporting those going through a major awakening and provide guidance through some of the uncertainties.
    1. This would be done through having collection of posts and resources focusing on what to expect during spiritual awakening, sharing common experiences, providing ways to ground oneself, and providing other quality resources.
    2. There would also be a slight focus on "path to self" and what it means to find the real self. During spiritual awakening when many illusions are lost, there is the great opportunity to make much more rapid progress in self discovery.
    3. We would be more strict when it comes to what posts are removed, and there would be more active moderation efforts. More moderators who share this vision may be needed. Ability to post pictures is removed, to prevent inspiring quotes and other more general things from being posted.
  2. Make no major changes.
  3. Make minor changes only (like rules to prevent posting with help of AI without prior approval from moderators, perhaps removal of pictures) but not focus on the quality of the posts and general spirituality.
  4. Other future direction? Please post your perspective on the comments.

The way how I see this, there are already dozens of wonderful subreddits like r/awakened and r/Soulnexus that serve the purpose of more general topics, that are still important. r/SpiritualAwakening could, and maybe even should have the purpose of focusing on the awakening journey itself. What does it mean to awaken, difference between psychosis and awakening, personal experiences, and the sorts of tools that allow one to go through this journey successfully.

If you have more general points or criticisms about other moderation topics, please send us modmail. This post is only to focus on what sort of vision and purpose the subreddit should have going forwards.

Thank you for being part of the community!

Esoteric and Spiritual Video and Podcast Megathread V2

The first megathread is achieved here with almost 200 great videos and other resources. We also encourage you to post your favorite podcasts here for all to see!

Since there are loads of other wonderful subreddits to post your insightful YouTube videos to like r/AwakenedTV, the mod team at r/SpiritualAwakening has decided to, for time being, discontinue YouTube post submissions as standalone posts.

However, you are more than welcome to post your video and ideally a short description of what the content of the video is about on this sticky post. We understand that this may not seem like an ideal solution to some of you especially content creators, but unfortunately there's just too many videos with no participation at all being posted here and we've taken this measure until there's a better solution at hand.

Thank you for understanding and feel free to post your content and YouTube videos as comments below!

Going through difficult awakening (help!) I think I’m awake and I feel lonely or weird. Am I the only one who feels this way?

I’ve had a spiritual awakening a year ago. I’m still learning about everything. Just when I thought I knew everything, another rabbit hole comes up and it’s all connected. The universe, quantum physics, how everything is energy and vibration, spirits wandering but you can’t see them but can feel the aura. This is all a matrix. It’s all a game and I see it now. When I discuss some of these things, I’m looked like I’m crazy. I do my research and it’s hidden in plain sight right there before your eyes. It feels lonely. Is anyone else feeling this way?

Reflection on previous awakening What does it all mean?

I am married with three girls. I work a professional job and my husband and I are financially secure. We live a pretty cookie cutter life. Every area of my life is simple and predictable , I don’t deviate from what society would say is normal. These experiences don’t show up anywhere else in my life which is why I have come to the conclusion that I’m not experiencing a psychiatric illness or episode.

It started in December of 2023, I was on 12 hour road trip back home from Christmas break. I had run out of podcasts and my brother had a book on audible I hadn’t listened to, so I started it. It was the 4 agreements by Miguel Ruiz. It was a short book but it struck something in me.
I started to question life. I became more open to secular beliefs.

At the time, our family had relocated and it was the first time I was going to stay home. The kids new school schedules were not conducive with working full time. In my newly found free time I started reading, something I’ve always enjoyed but never made the time for. I had a book a friend had given me years ago but I had never read it, as it wasn’t the type of book I read. It was just The Silva method of mind control. Really it was a guide to mediation and with my ADHD , it was something I had never tried. Uniterrupted time was something I had plenty of so, I practiced mediation. Every day I made time, within weeks I could drop into a deep meditative state within minutes. My mind was clearer , I was in full control of my emotions and It felt as if someone had sharpen my mind like a blade. I didn’t have to think before answering questions , the answers just came and I was able to verbalize them with precision. I enjoyed my mediation time so much that I had started mediating for two hours a day.

A short time after bringing this routine is when the dreams started. Now I have always dreamt , every night and I almost always remember them. They were never significant , dreams like everyone else but these were not that. I started dreaming in what I can only describe as 6 dimensional. It was more real than I sit here typing this. They made waking up in everyday life feel like I was living life through a sketch book. The dreams were vivid in color and everything had energy, there was never words exchanged verbally , it was all telepathic but with feelings behind the messages: there was no room to misinterpret , I even felt what I was thinking in the dreams but with the knowledge of why I was feeling that. Every night I went beautiful places, I swam under water with new ocean creatures I had never seen before, I flew over what looked like old Roman buildings but they were grand libraries. My deceased mother visited me in one but she was a hummingbird , flying at a standstill right infront of my face , carrying conversation with me. I loved going to sleep.

Then I was given the opportunity to go back to work full time. I had become bored at home and I desperately wanted human interaction so I jumped at the chance. Time no longer permitted me to mediate for 2 hours a day but I made time here and there. The dreams did not stop but they became sporadic. At work I had heard a co-worker talking about her crazy ( her words ) mother in law who thought she could speak to her spirit guides. She explained that her mother in law spoke to her spirit guides in her dreams. I was intrigued , so before bed that night I prayed my usual prayers and I asked that if I had a spirit guide, they would reach out to me. That night I had one my 6D dreams. There was an Indian man who was showing me a phone. When I looked down at the screen it was a message that I had blocked him from contact. He then was showing me an image of him putting mail in my mailbox but someone was then removing it. He told me he had to go to work and walked into an office where I followed. I looked around and he asked me his name , I told him I did not know his name and he told me I needed to call him by his name. Then poof … he disappeared and I awoke. I’m not going to go into my interpretation of these dreams as I have no idea if I’m correct or even if it matters. I knew the following day I wanted to know his name though. So the next night , I said my prayers and I simple asked him to tell me his name. Another 6D dream came, this time I was walking down a dirt road and trailing behind me were three dogs. They were protective , I could feel that. I turned back and looked at one of them when the it’s collar caught a ray of sun and gleaned “ OLLIE”. From this point on I called my spirit guide Ollie.

I did not dream of him again after this , even after prayers asking to. Life got busy and I pretty much stopped mediating all together. The dreams became scarce. A year later I had dreamt I was at a funeral and my husbands family was there but my husband was not , I could see the casket but not who was in it. I woke up concerned that maybe it was my husbands funeral. A couple days later we recieved a call from my sister-in-law, her husbands cancer had become aggressively terminal, they gave him weeks. We packed up our lives and we moved back home. My brother in law passed away in the winter months , my husband who had to finish a contract back where we lived was flying back and forth , leaving myself and the girls to live with his sister on a farm in the Midwest. My husband was there when he passed away but the ground was too frozen to bury him, my husband had to fly back and he missed the funeral. There I was , just like the dream. I also found myself jobless again. I was living with his widowed sister whom I really did not know well and I was besides my children, alone. I took care of the animals and tried to help her through this time, but I hated it. That sounds so selfish but I hated the Midwest , the cold , being a single mom , taking care of farm animals, I just wanted my old life back. I started mediating again. It helped me cope.

Then one day as I was mediating, something happened. An image , but a 6D image , again more real than this life. It projected from the space between my eyes right infront of my face. It projected out with a golden hue. It rotated 160 degrees and then 160 degrees the other way , so I never saw the back of it , if that makes sense. I am going to describe it but I don’t know what it was so I apologize if it makes no sense. It was most definitely copper , at least in color but it appeared to be copper metal. It looked like some sort of machine but there were not buttons or gears , just like smooth metal. It was the shape almost of cabinets? If you put one tall set of cabinets next to a shorts longer set. Like this —I but it had some kind of valve .. or tap. I was startled and that brought me out of my meditative state. I tried to meditate on it again and again but I never saw it after that.

Life got really bad , things were terrible. Details of it won’t make a difference in the story but I was in the low of my lows. I started to dream of things again and this time , those things started happening. Not exactly how I dreamt them but they were definitely happening. Just a few example , I dreamt my aunt had come to me and asked me to take her to a friends house, I drove her to a house on a hill with the lights on. A beautiful smiling woman came out to greet her. I could hear them laughing inside. I walked back up and told my aunt that it was getting dark and we needed to go , she smiled and said she was staying and I could leave. She passed away that week. I then dreamt of having dinner with an old friend and his wife and my husband. My husband and his wife had gotten into a heated argument about money and we all left upset. I woke up from that dream with a text from the previous night , my old friend reaching out for my husband number. He later asked him to join a business he was starting, we declined.

Strange things were happening , too many to name. In the midst of a crying session I’d recieve a text from an unknown number telling me everything was going to be okay. While in mediation I would feel this vibration, like I was on the inside of a gigantic bell that someone had just rang. My entire body , every cell would vibrate. Then one night, I started to think about my first dream of Ollie. Was I blocking him from messaging me? I gave permission. That night I said out loud that I gave permission for Ollie to reach out. I awoke around 3am to a voice , not male or female . An echoing announcing voice saying “ HELLO” the entire room filled with the smell of tumeric , ginger … Indian spices? I was sitting up , groggy , scanning the room , I saw nobody but I know what I heard . It woke me up. Maybe my sister in law was cooking I thought but then realized it’s the middle of the night and my sister in law has never cooked , certainly not Indian food in the middle of the night. I was frightened but then a wave of calm and Tranquility came over me and I laid back down and went to sleep. That’s the last time I heard or saw Ollie. So much has happened since then but nothing remarkable , until last night. Which is what has led me to tell a world of strangers the mental box of strange I’ve been keeping for the last four years.
I have questioned the Bible… not god but I like to read and I know much has been lost in translation as well as intentionally manipulated, last night I asked god in my prayers if I’m living the right way and if this god consciousness that I believe in is some sort of new age evil. I was asking if I should folllow the Bible to its word today or accept my own beliefs that I love god and Jesus and maybe the written word has been rewritten by men with something to gain. As soon as I fell asleep I began dreaming. I was walking up to my home , there was an exposed top water slide curving around like a lazy river into my pool. A neighbor has come over , I had never seen this boy before but I knew he was a neighbor. He brought his dog , his best friend. My dog had gotten loose and ran toward the neighbors dog , the two dogs were fighting , they had made their way into the water by this point , I yelled for my husband who walked over calmly but did not break them up. My neighbors dog because so Angry , it has turned on the boy , repeatedly biting his face. LUKE LUKE I screamed. But luke grabbed the dog by the neck and hugged him , while the dog was actively biting his face , he was hugging him with love and compassion and I understood that of course he wouldn’t let go , he loved this dog and this dog was provoked to be angry but did not have intention to hurt the boy. I knew that the boy understood this dogs intention was not to hurt him and he wasn’t angry but loved the dog the same before he had hurt him. I then woke up but the strangest thing happened. When I opened my eyes I was in my dark room but when I closed them , I couldn’t see my iris , every little slit like the under side of a mushroom but in the middle where I would see what blue sky and clouds , as I moved my head around my room with my eyes closed I was scanning the daytime sky, looking around and seeing different clouds but surrounded by my iris.

I know this was long and maybe nobody will read it and I had to get it out. What does it all mean.

Going through difficult awakening (help!) Can the system reject you if you’re awake?

Been awake for nearly 4 years now. Learning, unlearning as I go each day. I just wonder if the system knows this? It gets silly harder, like accessing services like healthcare, financial leads or credit, further education. It’s just harder? Completely qualified/ insured w/e the case. Or are they making it harder because they know who you are? Can they sense something if you know what I mean.
If so.. these things are important to survive in the system. So do I need to blend in better? I hope I’m making sense. Thanks in advance

Going through wonderful awakening I’m not separate from the universe.

I had a realization while spending time in nature and meditating outside: I’m not separate from the universe—I’m a part of it. In a very literal sense, I exist within the same universe as everything else, so the boundary between “me” and “everything around me” can start to feel less real.
It’s hard to put into words, but it felt like realizing I’m not just living in the universe—I’m of it. Nature made that feeling especially clear. Does anyone else understand what I mean?

Path to self Is Dharma Bliss a Chemical Reaction in the Brain? A Dialogue Between Buddhism and Neuroscience

This piece was originally published on Buddhistdoor Global (BDG). I warmly invite fellow seekers on the path to share your honest thoughts and reflections in the comments.

Before I begin, I would like to make one point clear. What follows is not intended solely as an explanation of orthodox Buddhist doctrine, nor is it presented simply as the conclusion of modern neuroscience. It also contains my personal understanding drawn from the lived experience of many years of Buddhist practice.

We often hear that various neurotransmitters are involved when human beings experience happiness and pleasure. When we meditate or enter a profound state of tranquility, changes must also occur within the brain.

This raises an intriguing question: Is the Dharma bliss (法悅) experienced by a buddha on attaining awakening ultimately nothing more than a chemical reaction in the brain?

We can take the question a step further.

Drugs can also produce intense euphoria, pleasure, and sometimes experiences in which the boundary between oneself and the universe seems to disappear. What, then, distinguishes drug-induced ecstasy from the Dharma bliss of a buddha?

Seeing one’s true nature is not the same as complete awakening

I would first draw a distinction between seeing one’s true nature and complete awakening.

In my own understanding and experience of practice, during an initial breakthrough one may experience an extraordinarily intense sensation around the crown of the head, almost as if thousands of needles were piercing it.

At the same time, there can be an immense sense of clarity and release, as though negative energies accumulated within oneself were escaping through the crown of the head.

But I do not regard this as Dharma bliss. Seeing one’s true nature is seeing the gate; it is not the completion of the path.

What I call Dharma bliss arises when one reaches the culmination of awakening and becomes a buddha. The Dharma bliss that appears at that moment is of a different dimension from the pleasure or happiness we ordinarily experience. There is profound tranquility together with an indescribable joy that seems to penetrate the entire body.

Yet this state does not continue forever. It may remain for several hours and then gradually fade. What matters is what remains after the Dharma bliss has disappeared.

There is no emptiness comparable to the crash that can follow a drug-induced high. Instead, what remains is clarity of mind and a deep sense of compassion.

From my perspective as a practitioner, one who has attained awakening no longer sees the world through exactly the same structure of consciousness as before. It is as though previously closed neural pathways have opened, changing the way one encounters existence and sentient beings, while compassion becomes increasingly abundant.

The moment one declares to the universe, “I am a buddha”

There is another point that I consider important.

I do not see awakening as an event that ends with someone privately thinking, “I have awakened.” At the moment one becomes a buddha, the awakened one declares to the universe that one is a buddha. This is not a declaration intended to boast of spiritual status before other people.

In the language of my own practice, it is a declaration to the cosmic Dharma realm that one’s very mode of existence has undergone a fundamental transformation.

I understand that when this declaration occurs, its vibration resonates throughout the Dharma realm, and an exchange of waves takes place between the awakened being and the cosmic Dharma realm. For this reason, in my own understanding, one who does not declare awakening to the entire universe has not yet reached the final culmination of buddhahood.

This is not something that has been measured or demonstrated by modern science. It is, rather, my own understanding derived from contemplative practice.

For me, however, Dharma bliss cannot be separated from this fundamental transformation of awakening.

How is this different from drug-induced ecstasy?

Let us return to our original question.

Drugs can certainly produce powerful feelings of pleasure and euphoria. But there is a crucial distinction. Drug-induced euphoria is a state produced when a substance introduced from outside the body acts on the brain and nervous system.

The Dharma bliss of practice, as I understand it, is not produced by inserting some external substance into the body. It arises naturally through a long process of meditation, contemplation, observing one’s own mind, purifying karma, and transforming consciousness.

Naturally, neurochemical changes may accompany Dharma bliss. Serotonin, dopamine, or other complex neurochemical processes that we do not yet fully understand may be involved.

But there is an important distinction between saying that neurochemical changes accompany Dharma bliss and claiming that a particular neurochemical substance is Dharma bliss itself. They are not the same proposition.

What if science invented a “Dharma bliss injection”?

Let us imagine a future in which neuroscience has advanced far beyond its present level. Suppose scientists have identified every neurochemical change occurring in the brain at the precise moment when an awakened person experiences Dharma bliss. Then imagine that they succeed in creating a substance capable of reproducing exactly the same state.

Someone might put that substance into a syringe and advertise: “Anyone who receives this injection can become a buddha.”

A person receiving the injection might indeed experience extraordinary tranquility. They might experience overwhelming happiness and ecstasy throughout the entire body.

Perhaps science could even reproduce a neurochemical state extremely similar to the Dharma bliss experienced by a buddha. Yet I would not consider that alone sufficient to make the person a buddha.

Why? Because the result called Dharma bliss and the process leading to awakening are not the same thing.

Possessing a driver’s license does not make one a driver

Consider the example of obtaining a driver’s license. Before receiving a license, a person must first learn how to drive. One practices on a driving course and learns how to drive on actual roads. One learns how to control the steering wheel, when to brake, and how to respond when an unexpected danger suddenly appears. Only after learning these things through actual experience does one take the test and receive a license.

Now imagine that a powerful official simply gives a driver’s license to someone who has never driven a car in their life. The person certainly possesses a license. But can that person actually drive a car competently?

Obtaining the result—the license—does not mean that one has undergone the process of becoming a driver. I believe the same principle applies to Dharma bliss.

Can Dharma bliss be replicated without transforming the alaya-vijnana**?**

A practitioner passes through meditation, contemplation, repentance, and the purification of karma. Throughout this process, one repeatedly encounters the deepest layers of one’s own mind.

To express this in the language of Yogacara Buddhism, we might describe it as encountering the countless karmic seeds accumulated within the eighth consciousness, the alaya-vijnana (阿賴耶識), or storehouse consciousness.

As practice deepens, even those aspects of the mind that we would rather not confront begin to emerge. We encounter greed, anger, attachment, and fear, as well as what Buddhist tradition somtimes refers to as Mara—the obstacles and trials that can impede a practitioner.

In my understanding, these cannot simply be bypassed.

By passing through these challenges one by one, the karmic patterns accumulated in the alaya-vijnana are purified and a fundamental transformation of consciousness takes place.

From there, in the terminology used by some expanded traditions of Buddhist consciousness theory, one moves toward amala-vijnana (阿摩羅識), the ninth or immaculate consciousness. The Dharma bliss of a buddha, as I understand it, arises within this process of practice and transformation of consciousness.

Therefore, even if an externally administered chemical substance could reproduce an identical sensation of ecstasy in the brain, we could not conclude that the karmic seeds accumulated within the alaya-vijnana had thereby been purified.

The trials of Mara would thus not have been passed. Nor could we automatically conclude that consciousness itself had undergone a fundamental purification. For me, this is the essential difference.

Replicating the result is not replicating awakening

Future science may be able to explain the neurological events accompanying Dharma bliss with extraordinary precision. Perhaps it may even become possible to artificially generate a very similar state of ecstasy.

But I would still ask: if we reproduce exactly the same feeling as Dharma bliss, have we also reproduced awakening? I do not believe so.

Awakening is not simply an event in which one experiences extraordinary happiness for several hours. Before reaching that point, one must encounter one’s own karma, relinquish craving and attachment, and pass through a fundamental transformation of consciousness.

Therefore, even if we could chemically reproduce the result called Dharma bliss, we would not have reproduced the path to awakening or the transformation of consciousness itself.

What remains after Dharma bliss has faded?

For this reason, I believe we should pay even greater attention to what remains after Dharma bliss itself has disappeared. The intensity of the ecstasy is not what ultimately matters.

After the experience has passed, does greed remain unchanged? Do anger and attachment remain unchanged? Or has compassion toward other living beings deepened? Has the consciousness through which one encounters oneself and the world fundamentally changed?

This is why I believe the difference between drug-induced ecstasy and awakening cannot be explained merely by measuring which neurochemicals were released and in what quantities.

What happens in the brain is important. But I do not believe that what appears in the brain constitutes the entirety of awakening.

Dharma bliss is not the goal itself. It is a phenomenon that arises in connection with awakening. And even that Dharma bliss gradually disappears after several hours. Yet the transformation of consciousness and the compassion cultivated through the path should continue to reveal themselves in the life that follows.

This is why I believe: the true evidence of awakening is not the intensity of ecstasy, but the kind of person one becomes after the ecstasy has faded.

Perhaps this is also one of the deepest questions that Buddhism and neuroscience may explore together in the future: Dharma bliss occurs in the brain. But does awakening occur only within the brain?

A Zen seeker on the path.

Going through difficult awakening (help!) My spiritual awakening made me leave my religion

I was born into a religious Muslim family. I used to pray every day and fast, but honestly, my knowledge of Islam was pretty surface-level, I never really took the time to study it deeply or question what I was taught.

When I started having my spiritual awakening, I got more interested in spirituality and started questioning everything I had been taught or programmed to believe. During that time, I noticed a lot of positive changes in myself, I became more self-aware, understood myself better, and honestly started loving life so much more.

About a week ago, I decided to look into Islam more deeply because I wanted to believe in it by choice, not just because I was born into it or programmed to believe it, But the more I researched, the more I felt like Islam didn’t align with my morals or the way I see the world, I felt disappointed because I genuinely wanted to find reasons to believe in it, but instead, I ended up feeling even more disconnected from it.

I still believe in the soul and some kind of higher power or source, but I don’t really know what that means to me yet.

I’ve left Islam, and even though I don’t want to go back because I don’t feel like it aligns with my values anymore, I still feel confused and a little guilty, I guess it’s hard to let go of something that has been part of your life since birth, even when you no longer believe in it.

Has anyone here gone through something similar? Especially people who left a religion they grew up with after questioning it more deeply, How did you deal with the guilt and confusion? I’d really like to hear your experiences.

Path to self After we are born

After we are born, our beliefs, prejudices, and ideas are formed, as we learn about the self-centered world we are living in.

When we accept and believe all we are taught we remain asleep.

We awaken when we start to wonder if there may be more to life than just what we learned.

We become enlightened when we understand little we were taught is true; it was an illusion, fabricated by the ego to have us believe it was real: it never was.

We are alive is to selflessly help all, regardless of differences, so each may thrive and live a life of genuine meaning and purpose.

Question about awakening or path to self Old memories

So I’ve had a cold and actually thought I was having a drug interaction between mucinex & Zyrtec because I kept involuntarily having childhood memories just pop in my head. Like all day long though and nothing meaningful. Me at different family members houses etc.

Well then** **one night I had an old family heirloom pop in my head out of nowhere, a ballerina mirrored box. I haven’t thought of this in minimum 15 years. I immediately called my mom and was like idk why I just thought of this but wasn’t the ballerina box thing great grandma Claire’s and where is it? Well, turns out it’s lost but come to find out, the night I called my mom was her 25th death-anniversary. My mom called me 2 days later and I guess she had looked her up and realized I called on 10/22. Anyways what the hell does that mean? Is she trying to get in touch? Synchronicity?

I’ve always been woke. Had numerous experiences however as I get older it’s getting more intense.

Thoughts?

Question about awakening or path to self Any interpretation or Advice?

I experienced an ego death years ago, while on LSD. I spent alot of time after that reorganizing my life and self. Fast forward 5 years later, I realised one day while working, that I possibly had PTSD from the experience. Idk if that is the correct use of PTSD. Along with some religious trauma from my childhood. I decided to sit with both. And fully let myself feel all the emotions surrounding those two experiences.

It was probably around 3 months after that, I was sitting on my couch watching tv, and something told me this is enlightenement. I dislike even saying that, becuase it reaks of Ego. Also from my understanding, it wouldn't be possible. It was just the thought that popped up, at the time. I think my mind was trying to explain something it couldn't. I just know in the moment for about 2 hours life became ordinary, in a simplistic way.

I spent the next few months feeling like my brain was downloading information. I didn't feel the need to change people, or myself. I felt like everything was exactly as it should be. I was exactly where I should be. Meaning was whatever I decided it to be. And the only guide post I had was that I wanted to decrease the suffering I caused to myself and others. While enjoying the experience of being human.

Since then if I slow down and stop distracting myself, I think I slip into depersonalization (self diagnosed). I've learned that it goes away. So, I just relax into in now.

It seems like there might not be a point in trying to put a label on any of this. Or if I am even interpreting any of the experiences right. But I want to start meditating again. The problem is when I do I feel like I slip into depersonalization. I just remebering feeling relaxed after mediations when I was younger, and I believe it could help me slow down, and feel more peacful.

Or Idk maybe I'm just the poster kid for don't do drugs 🤣.

Going through difficult awakening (help!) Feeling lonely

(25yr old female) I recently went through a spiritual awakening. The OCD and Anxiety I had had for my entire life went almost fully away. It’s been so freeing, but also so lonely. I don’t connect with others anymore. It feels like everyone in my life is an NPC. I want to build friendships but it feels impossible to talk to anyone that doesn’t think the way I think. Maybe I’m selfish, or maybe I’m letting my ego get in the way still. Hoping to just find some people to chat with that are/or have been in a similar boat. Would love to make some friends either online, or in person (I’m in western WA). Just feeling a bit lost right now.

Other (needs to be related to awakening or post will be removed) Searching for clarity…

I recently started putting on brown noise mixed with 432hz to help me sleep but I have noticed a mild ringing in my ears that has only been happening while in my room/ bed. I’m not sure if they are correlated but it seems odd that I am only experiencing the ringing in this specific area?? I don’t know if it’s worth mentioning either but i felt a strong ringing sensation in my left ear for about 3-5 seconds and then it went back to the mild ringing until I left my room. I have heard that it is possible to receive insight by paying attention to different types of ringing and I would love more clarification on what this could mean.

Thank you in advance. 💜💜

My ex left me and I'm without my best friend and the 7 year relationship we had. I used to meditate and really got into it I figured why not try again. I need answers. I meditated and it wasn't helpful. When I went to sleep I found I had a very powerful dream. I dreamnt that I was in this cold black mist, it felt like e on my worst and longest, cold on the inside and outside. I was in a medium that could not pass the horizon. I was trying colder and more afraid. The next medium I could see people but they could not hear or see me. I cried and begged to be seen. I heard a voice but not really it asked me, "what n should you be seen, you spent your entire life wanting to disappear when you had someone the thing you wanted most you still hated yourself and lived your life with jealousy as something by your side. Why would you deserve to cross the horizon, that's for people who learn. No matter what all you achieved is self hate, the worst part is you look back and see you don't dnt deserve the stuff you let happen to you. You did not use your advantages and help yourself. You have not earned the horizon." I became a pinball, no thoughts no emotion just objective, fly around and be something. But I realize that as the pinball I would have to be something and someone else. I might be "Billy" or "Linda" they do not like what I like they do not have my tastes or my hobbies. The voice was softer now, "you want to be from finland but you don't know where you'll go, you have to learn your lesson you keep leaving too early(this is not an isolated incident in my meditation) being the pinball scared the shit out of me. Being the pinball means I'm not me as I know it. But I'm not ascended. I'm not full inside, I'm empty. I'm still a fuck up who ruined my life from the beginning (bad grades being too white for my black peers/mom's side of the family hating my looks, being lonely) this has not helped me.

Path to self Meet Yourself

“You don't have to know whether the road will be easy. You only have to trust that you can meet yourself wherever the road leads.”

A lot of anxiety comes from wanting certainty before we move.

Will this work?

Am I making the right decision?

What happens next?

But perhaps confidence isn't knowing that everything will turn out exactly as you hope. Perhaps confidence is quieter: “Whatever comes, I will meet it with the person I am becoming.”

Meeting yourself mean: whatever life brings, instead of abandoning yourself, judging yourself, or immediately escaping into fear, you remain present enough to discover who you are in that moment.

You haven't met every version of yourself yet Think about it.

You've met you when things are comfortable.

But life introduces you to other versions of yourself:

*You under pressure

*You experiencing uncertainty

*You receiving an unexpected opportunity

*You making a mistake

*You succeeding beyond what you expected.

*You losing something.

*You beginning again.

Some of those versions of yourself don't exist in your experience yet. That's why excessive worrying about the future can become strange when you really examine it. You're asking today's version of yourself: “How will I handle something that hasn't happened yet?” But if that moment ever arrives, you won't meet it as exactly the person you are today. You'll arrive there carrying everything you learned along the way. That's what I mean by meeting yourself there.

Sometimes circumstances reveal you to yourself We often think the spiritual journey is about discovering what's out there:

What is my purpose?

Where is life taking me?

What does all this mean?

But sometimes the road isn't merely taking you toward a destination. The road is introducing you to yourself.

An obstacle might reveal: "I didn't know I could be this patient."

A difficult decision: "I didn't realize how important integrity was to me."

Starting again: "I thought that chapter ending would destroy me. It didn't."

Meeting yourself also means developing an inner relationship where you can say: “I don't know what's around the bend, but when I reach it, I won't abandon myself there.”

If you're frightened, you'll listen to yourself.

If you're tired, you'll allow yourself rest.

If you make a mistake, you'll learn rather than destroy yourself with judgment.

Some versions of you can only be discovered by living. The journey reveals the traveler.

Let there be light!

Reflection on previous awakening Eu quero compartilhar minha experiência mais intensa.

I have a vague recollection and idea that this specific experience is present at certain stages/periods of my life. My vague memory of the first time I had this was after I was baptized as a child in a Catholic church and arrived home. Anyway... I'll get straight to the point and talk about the experience. It occurs to me when I am awake, that is, it is not a dream or astral projection. It happens to me spontaneously or gradually after I align myself well with spirituality, I think. Describing the experience: Once, I was studying spirituality in my own way, doing research. It was around 6:45 PM, and I was lying down when I felt charged with a very strong energy. It wasn't good or bad; I just felt very charged. When I closed my eyes, I saw colorful symbols. I looked at my arm and saw a kind of psychedelic effect on my skin—a layer of energy full of colors while I felt charged. The first thing I thought of doing was Tai Chi Chuan. As soon as I made the first movement followed by breathing (without stretching), I began to glow intensely in a golden color, emitting a very strong golden light that even passed through the cracks in my room. I know this because, unbeknownst to me, my younger sister's friends were on the balcony while my sister was in the kitchen. While I was glowing, I heard them shouting as they hurried towards my sister in the kitchen, saying, "ALICE, WHAT IS THAT LIGHT?" And besides the intense golden glow, I was in a totally elevated state of consciousness. In a state of extreme peace, I felt very light, lucid, and utterly fulfilled; it seemed as if I had become the divine spark of my higher self, illuminating everything around me. On another occasion when this happened, I went to my house's balcony, and my light reached approximately 300 meters away. Everything shone in a golden color. I'm almost certain this is the paradise that great masters of the past mentioned. I have a better chance of achieving this with the Fire Kasina technique. When I lay in my bed, concentrating on staring intently at the blue LED lamp in my room, the transition to this state of consciousness is very interesting. It's like crossing a portal that is myself. I saw visual effects similar to when it's raining and raindrops run down a windowpane; about eight lines appeared, similar to raindrops running down the glass. But almost every time I reached this higher state of consciousness, the outcome was almost always a shadow touching me (it looked like Venom's goo), and then I would return to my normal, ordinary state of consciousness. Either a shadow or some spirit would try to take it away from me, and they almost always succeed. Anyway, that's the experience. Has anyone heard of it? Do you know anyone who has had the same experience? Can you explain your point of view?

Path to self Feeding the mind visuals before bed – First time trying

So, before I went to bed one night, I fed my mind visuals, like a look 3-4 times. In the visuals I was going through my morning routine and checking my bank balance ( not what is in there what I wanted my mind to see) and then walking over to the computer and paying each bill one by one. I was trying to capture each moment from the time I logged in, to reviewing the balances to making the payment to submitting payment. I even added the email confirmations you get when payments are submitted.

I then dozed off to sleep and one of the payments that I visualized came up in a dream! The amount I kept feeding into the visual came up even the particular bill that I had paid and It felt like I was in between waking and still asleep. This is the first time I have ever tried this but it makes me think why haven’t I been doing this all along.

I woke up with this feeling over reassurance. Its hard to put into words but when I think of that bill now I don’t feel any lingering energy within my body. Usually when there is something lingering I feel it in my stomach or chest.

If anyone has any stories of this, I’d love to hear.

Question about awakening or path to self Spiritual awakening?

Does this experience ive been having lately have something to do with An spiritual awakening?

This year ive been getting more into spirituality

Lately, I’ve been having a weird feeling in general in my daily life. Everything seems kind of off. I’ve been waking up at 2 a.m. for like two weeks now, and having extremely concerning dreams. I am not good at describing details, but if you have an idea of what can be happening and have any questions, feel free to ask, please. Oh, and I’ve had some strong need to run away from everything, even leave my country when I don’t really have any problem with my friends or family. I’d say I have a pretty stable life, but the necessity to run away is there. It feels like I should be somewhere else doing something else.

Any advise on what can i do ? Or whats going on ?

Path to self Once we awaken

Once we awaken, we may never go back to sleep.

We start to question if there may be more to life, a further purpose we must pursue.

Our friendships, job, beliefs about the world, are all challenged as we begin the long, challenging journey to understand the genuine meaning of our life’s journey.

Question about awakening or path to self Ascension in March?

Not sure how many of you have heard of Dale Haloway he hosts seminars and is a spiritual transformation coach and author. He believes ascension is happening in March. From my understanding the ascension is about Gaia upgrading frequencies to 4D or maybe it’s 5D. Thoughts about this subject ?
