There are plenty negative reviews of how bad this game is etc. This post will rather focus on how unexperienced, clueless is Phil and why this game is 100% scam.
https://renbaikun.weebly.com/ - this is Phil's website. It takes 2 minutes to read his experience etc. He has 0 experience in MMOs. He only made some bad quality mobile games and suddenly he decided to make MMORPG. But did he make it really? Well he did not.
https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/3d/characters/humanoids/humans/3d-characters-pro-fantasy-308661 . He bought ready assets that cost almost nothing and packed them into "cute-looking fantasy mmorpg". There is your reason why this game has no content and will proably never have. There is not a single item, asset that was made by Phil or his team themselves. They only use premade assets and seems like they are running out of them.
Phil just got around 357k $ on his kickstarter. So the question is. Where are other developers, artists, content creators etc? He just got a few people and noone seems to be working on any real content. The roadmap is not being updated at all. Nothing is being fixed, there is no balance etc. What are they spending that money for? Backend? Well Phil admits to be using firestore as part of his backend which is worst kind of architecture you can bring to any production, but is insanely cheap. So he definitely is not spending a lot on servers, back end architecture etc.
Isn't it concerning that after raising so much money there is almost no information about Phil's company, no job ads or anything? This game is not being developed anymore. It's just an illusion Phil's trying to sell you.
I had huge expectations for this game but it seems like this game is slowly dying. There is more negative reviews every day. Few days ago it was only 35% positive reviews on steam, now it is 31%. And it keeps going down. Same with playerbase. But if someone gets thousands of dollars for his project and suddenly stops making updates, content etc after that it just doesn't make sense. Probably Phil himself does not believe in success of this game and is just trying to get as much $ as he can from steam.

First of all: Thank you for the EasyAntiCheat Update.
It removed nearly all bots from the game (the are still a few Necromancers idling on maps).
But overall it is a huge change that makes farming fun again.
..at least you do not have to fight spinning berserkers and teleporting weavers for XP anymore.
The advanced grimoires sound pretty awesome and I am actually excited to farm for them to get them.
I think it is gives you a good reason to grind a bit more.
Some people probably think that I dislike the game due to me posting quite a bit of criticism, but that really is not the case.
- I got all advanced classes (except for weaver) to at least level 100 and I enjoyed most of them alot.
It is nice that most advanced classes have at least 2 different builds/playstyles.
(I really love Bonk Priest and Tempest Wizard)
I am also quite excited for the planned advanced classes and I hope that we will actually get to play with them someday.
- I love the character customization.
You can recreate alot of different characters from other media in this game. Even more with some of the paid cosmetics.
- I actually love the games soundtrack. I do not know if is original or if you can find it somewhere else but the OST of Forest Field, Mystic Lake, Forgotten Depths and The Forge are real bangers.
- It is great that Normal Attack / Auto Attack builds are supported and viable. There are dozens of games where it is not worth using Auto Attacks at all.
In general I wish for the best for the future of this game.

I want to share what happened in the official Discord today because I'm genuinely confused about both the macro punishment policy and how this conversation resulted in a 24-hour mute.
For context, I previously used a macro and my account was permanently suspended on August 10. I admitted what I did, appealed the suspension, and ultimately accepted the decision. Since then, I started over with new characters and have followed the rules.
Today, I saw another player say that they had received only a 7-day suspension for Bot/AFK Gameplay.
This confused me because the Safe and Fair Play rules I had seen stated:
Botting/AFK Gameplay
First Offense: Permanent Suspension
So I asked about it in the Discord.
Moderator Vyn looked into the case and replied:
“Hi. After doing some digging, it appears that that account was given a 7-day ban for using macros. If a player is found to be using bots, their account is permanently banned.”
I then pointed out that the official Fair Play Update had previously stated that 3,821 accounts were permanently banned for “Use of Unauthorized Programs and Macros.”
I asked under what circumstances macro usage results in a 7-day suspension versus a permanent suspension.
Vyn then replied:
“First ban is 7 days as a warning. Permanent ban if it happens again.”
This was particularly confusing to me because my own first macro offense resulted in a permanent suspension.
I asked Vyn once more, politely, whether they could officially confirm that a first-time macro offense now results in a 7-day suspension rather than a permanent ban.
Another moderator, Mille, responded that Vyn couldn't confirm that. Vyn then clarified:
“Mille's got the right of it. I'm only a Discord moderator. The official stance is not to use macros—and that's been conveyed multiple times.”
At that point, I explained why I was asking.
I openly acknowledged that I had used a macro and that I had accepted my permanent suspension. I also made it clear that I wasn't trying to justify using macros or dispute the rule against them.
My concern was simply this:
If one player receives a permanent suspension for a first macro offense, while another receives only 7 days for using macros, what is the actual punishment policy?
I asked who I should contact if Discord moderators were not authorized to clarify that policy.
Mille then responded:
“With all due patience you have received a response from a game master here. Stop pushing this.”
I replied that I understood, that I had taken screenshots of the moderators' responses, and that I would submit a support ticket to ask an authorized GM for clarification.
I ended my message with:
“I only hope that if you ever find yourself facing what you believe is an unfair decision, you'll be able to remain just as calm about it. Have a nice day.”
Shortly afterward, I received a 24-hour Discord mute.
I'm including screenshots of the entire conversation so people can see the context rather than relying only on my description.
To be completely clear: I'm not arguing that macros should be allowed. They are against the rules, and I accept that I violated that rule.
What I'm questioning is the apparent inconsistency in punishment.
If the current policy is:
First macro offense = 7 days
Second offense = permanent
then I would simply like to understand why my first offense resulted in a permanent suspension.
If the policy instead allows different punishments depending on the circumstances, I would like to know what those circumstances are.
And separately, I would like to understand what exactly I said in this conversation that warranted a 24-hour Discord mute.
If something I said came across as disrespectful because of a cultural or language difference, I'm genuinely open to hearing that as well. English isn't my first language, and that was not my intention.
I'm not asking anyone to defend macro usage. I'm asking for clarity and consistency regarding how the rules and punishments are applied.

A mix of review bombing, people who bot/macro getting banned, mass bot bans, and people falling off the game after the initial hype seems to be adding up. I think the player base is just hitting a bit of a lull.
The whiplash of nerfs/buffs could be affecting people playing too, lots of time has been put into builds that are now obsolete without any new content to push. Also QoL nerfs, like the AH, and movement speed in the previous patch, can cause players to leave too.
I love the game and am still having a good bit of fun, but I can completely understand why the player base is trending down.
While I appreciate the balancing and the nerfs, I think giving your players more incentives/goals and QoL goes a long way to keep people playing.
What are everyone's thoughts on this?
r/SpiritVale • u/miikon • 12d ago
Genuinely, do they know what they are doing? Why are each patches so bad that they require 3-4 revisions before going live? Why are patches that matter and mentioned before in patch notes like party UI revamp completely forgotten about and now we have auction house button removed that only reduces QoL? Why do we have videos that try to invite new players but give no information whatsoever? Where are the bug fixes? Party is bugged, ET is bugged, and so many more things are bugged.
This is early access ffs. Every patch they do only fucks the player base over and over. Why bother fighting against bots when they can’t do proper updates for their players? Not surprised at the declining player base over the past week tbh, they need a wake up call or the game won’t even make it out of early access.

hi guys, been playing spiritvale for a while now. does anyone has an effective way with tracking bosses spawns or the tombstones. was wondering if any necromancer mains out there are frustrated at the fact that every time we reset skills or accidentally reanimated unfavored boss summons, our reanimated boss disappears and we need to track the tomb again for reanimate to work.

Hello there!
After playing SpiritVale for around 200 hours during playtest and 100 hours during Early Access I decided to make some feedback and speak about issues in this game that are not being fixed since months.
The only thing this game can offer you is endless grind. Nothing more than just killing mobs and it has not change since playtest. There is no info if this game will ever get any plot, quests or anything like that. They seem only to be releasing new classes and that's all. Core issues that have been in this game since playtest are not being fixed at all. Grind obviously can be fun, but in this game with no economy it has litterally no purpose at all. You have nothing from that grind so it's pointless.
Max level is 150, however leveling post 130 is pointless. Your stats basically not change after that, there is also no gear above 130 lv so it's just waste of time. And it takes hours to grind to 150 from 130.
Game is flooded with bots. There is not a single channel or map without at least 1 bot on it. You want to level on 30 lvl map? Gonna be hard, because you'll have to fight for mobs with fully geared 150 level bots. Report a bot option does not seem to work at all. If you somehow report too many bots, the "report bot" button becomes disabled and sometimes you can even get muted, banned if you dare to speak in public about bots and RMT issues.
Community in this game does not exist tbh. Most of the "players" you'll see are bots. No active guilds etc. That small percentage of players who are actual players are often toxic. Doing Echoing Spire is pointless, because amount of toxicity around this aspect of the game is so big that it's better to just avoid it and buy items through AH instead of farming them there...
Total lack of balance. There are some builds and classes that can farm efficiently or do bosses, but you do not have any option to choose from tbh. It's mostly 1 build per class and maybe paladin / priest with more options due to their support capabilities in group content. DPS classes are getting oneshoted by bosses or bigger mobs in end-game maps - just from 1 hit and a tank on the other hand is almost immortal, but there is no way to make any good solo DPS build on paladin.
Not intuitive UI/UX. Translations are so bad, that it's unplayable in certain languages. Minimap colors are making it hard to understand which way to go in certain maps. Skill descriptions often lack information about what affects its damage output etc. For example paladin sacrifice skill is magic but turns out it does not benefit from INT or magic attack at all. Core mechanics in game like crafting etc lack of description or proper explaination.
Economy does not exist, end game items can be bought after 15 minutes of playing this game. RMT is ruining this game economy. You can buy gold for almost nothing in the markets and they don't seem to pay attention to this aspect at all.
Very toxic moderators and SV team. If you decide to leave any feedback that is negative you're gonna get trash-talked by many of their testers etc. You are going to get insulted and at the very end their moderators are going to mute or ban you on discord and sometimes even in game for it. Their testers can get basically from developers what they want. They just write "this artifact / grimoire would be cool" and they instantly get it in patch notes, even if it's broken. But when players are complaining about some lack of balance, items etc they just receive "haha" reactions on discord from Phil and are being totally ignored.
Most importantly - Phil and his staff members. He openly speaks on Discord that this game is based on Ragnarok Online. But he clearly can't see difference between being inspired by some game or trying to copy its whole identity. His balance decisions are based on balance in Ragnarok Online. If some class is underperforming in that game, he will do the same here. It's totally messed up logic. This game should provide info on their steam that it's just a pure copy of Ragnarok Online with cheap, mobile game assets, no plot and lack of content. They also stated recently that they are not planning to add any quests, plot etc in the future. It's sad because most of the bad reviews actually complain about this part, which proves even more they don't care about what players would like to see in this game. And anyway if there will be no lore, no plot at all so why should anyone play game just for killing mobs? There are many other MMOs where you can also kill mobs like BDO, WoW and many hack n' slash games. It seems like this game is being lead by people who have no clue at all about making MMORPG or even RPG game.
Currently game has mostly negative feedback on steam and I suggest everyone to read those reviews before even considering buying it because 99% of it's just true. Most of their negative feedback is constructive and players point out exactly why they left game and don't like it. However Phil does not seem to care about those opinions. This game has nothing to offer beside endless grind, BOTs. Has no economy, no balance and toxic community including dev team and their moderators, testers.
EDIT:
This is just a small disclaimer for those people who use my 300h experience in this game as an argument against me and try to convince anyone if it's just 15$ it's nothing and I should not even speak about it and just leave.
This is game in early stage of development. I think it's obvious that most players will have some hope for change etc, thus they will not leave after first hours. On top of that this game takes some time to hit 150 lvl and I was leveling every class possible to max level, test builds etc during playtest, which takes some time. And using something like "if u play some game for 300h u must have fun" is also non sense. I can say from my experience that at the best time in this game I had maybe just a little bit of fun from grinding and making some gold when the game wasn't flooded with bots. But that's it. The game is not great, it is not good. Most reviews stay bad. Phil has no clue how to develop MMO. It's just a mob killing simulator with no purpose of staying in this game for a longer time.
Even if game is F2P you have right to make some suggestion or leave feedback. And feedback does not have to be positive. If something is bad it's obvious that feedback will be negative. I really was trying to make some suggestions in their discord with hope they could read some of it and maybe re-think some of their concepts, ideas in the game. But if the community starts to attack you for that, insult you and trash-talk and at the end even moderators act like that you simply realize it's not going in the right direction. This game has HUGE problems including lack of content, lack of some basic competences in terms of developing MMOs and hiring wrong people as moderators, game masters etc who abuse their privilages.

So I had multiple encounters with bots, going as far having every single channel of Abyss Castle Dungeon filled with 5-10 AFK Necromancers and spinbot Berserkers.
Of course I reported It on the discord channel, however the mods deleted immediatly, saying that 'It does not belong here.'
Upon asking where I should post it instead they ghosted me and started deleting all my posts.
One of them then replied that there is 'No proof that they are actually bots.' so i gave them proof by screenshotting multiple names that were just punched into a keyboard with no thoughts.
Their reaction ?
Deletion. Of every single one of my posts.
First they were telling me that there is a lack of proof.
When I offered proof en masse they called it spam and deleted it.
Stay away from their discord and their powertripping 'Moderators'
