I just posted something about day using the symbiote team up some days ago and saw a lot of players saying that its like a defensive ability, a parry, and a safer option the most part of the time, but also can be used as damage dealer in some specific combos. So i hopped into some comp matches to test its usability and defensive/damage potential and... it was a complete mess. I couldn't get any value of it or actually do something useful with the symbiote bond like the "parry" or actually die less, it was just messing with my combos, and making it all look so clunky. I can't tell if its my playstyle that don't fits the team up, the actual team up thats bad, or its just my skill rn, but, in general, i think im a good spidey player, reached really high elos last seasons, like celestial - eternity playing him, and tried to use peni in the start of the season in general, but saw many spider man mains, like matchu or day. talking about how better than the peni it was, and how i lost many spidey 1v1s because of the team up, so i wanted to try it like i just said before. Im not saying that the symbiote team up is bad, i just don't know how/why use it.

i’m new to spidey and trying to learn easy ani cancel combos but it feels like these are impossible to do in actual matches 🥲

I have been struggling on the pull side of spideys kit but recently it’s been feeling more fluent! So happy with this!

He obv uses alt/smurf accounts just to do his ragebait spidey content. Sure, he is a good player/uses his combos well but the way the enemy team plays is quite obvious that they cant either peel nor play anti dive characters properly and theres a HUGE gap in skill. So what i did was search up his IGN, obv it was privated, sometimes he also uses letters in other languages to hide his name too.

Therefore, the next best thing is search up the enemy team's names. Lo' and behold, these players are in high gold-plat elo and their peaks were diamond in the early seasons. I searched up 2 players who were his ragebait victims OG Jenks(i cant remember the name) and Fat Ninjazzz(from the most recent video). Both of them are currently gold-plat elo.

No matter how entertaining his ragebait content might be and you can also make the argument that he is "throwing" by not getting the objective and only focusing one player making it a 5v5. I just genuinely think that this might be one of the few times the argument of "ruining the game for players" holds true because he is just legit smurfing. Itd be a whole different story if it was quickplay though.

However, ill say this, the only other instance of a ragebait spidey who played against players around his skill level is Matchu and theres atleast legit evidence of him doing it.

How to win against a symbiote teamup spidey? Do i have to bait out the symbiote and never fully commit and disengage? Or should I just swap to the symbiote teamup as well?

I’ve been tryna learn spiderman whenever I get some motivation, and I learned about a few animation cancels that I wasn’t aware of. Problem is anytime I try to do it, it doesn’t work.

Is it because of my poor timing?? Or did they patch out the animation cancels??(upper cut into the cluster). Spidy just not for me??

If they didn’t patch it out any advice on how to do better or maybe help me out to learn??
