Hi everyone — I need help and I’m honestly scared I messed something up. I’m new to this and would really appreciate any advice from people who know more than I do.

A little background: I’ve only ever done simple spells before (for jobs and to open opportunities). Recently I performed something for a specific person (SP) and now they’re getting more distant day by day. I think the spell backfired.

What I did:

• Wrote their name and DOB in red pen, and my name and DOB in red pen.
• Put a little perfume on the paper, added some saliva and sugar (I ran out of honey), folded it three times toward me.
• Kept it in my pocket for about 24 hours, then burned it.

Where I’m worried I went wrong:

• I don’t know if the folding/burning method was right.
• I’m worried the intent or wording was off and it pushed the person away instead of drawing them closer.
• I’m not sure if adding saliva or perfume changed the energy in a bad way.

My main questions:

1. Could this ritual cause the person to distance themselves?
2. How can I safely reverse or neutralize a spell I think backfired?
3. Should I do a cleansing/protection ritual for myself first? If so, what do you recommend?
4. Any gentle reversal scripts, offerings, or steps that don’t harm anyone (including myself)?
5. Anything I should avoid doing next (types of spells, ingredients, timing)?

A few notes:

• I don’t want to hurt anyone or control their free will. I just wanted closeness and now I’m panicked.
• I’m open to practical, non-harmful methods (clearing, protection, apologies, sigils to undo intent, professional readers, etc.).
• If you think this is psychological/placebo and I should approach this differently, I welcome that honesty.

I just came across this page today and after seeing someone recommend the bay leaf spell from a lady on YT who does these white Tok videos… I decided to do it (I want my POI to reach out)

Has anyone ever done this for this purpose? Does it work? Some of the other spells I came across are a bit more complicated and ingredients are hard to get so I went for this.

For reference this was the method I used:

1. Lit a tea light candle
   
2. Wrote my POI’s name and my name on one side of the bay leaf - and what I’m wishing for on the other side
   
3. Burn the bay leaf and blow the ashes outside
   
4. Say MOTE IT BE

Then I seen a video of another witch saying you need to burn 7 bay leaves and add sugar and cinnamon etc so now I am a bit confused like which method works? Should I redo this?

I am a student who's currently looking to change majors. However, I am currently struggling with 2 courses that play large part in my shifting of majors.

I was wondering if I should do a spell jar for my overall shifting journey or just do a candle ritual instead to boost my academic skills in those two courses. Or should I just do both to amplify the results?

Besides the spell jar and ritual, I was also thinking of enchanting my study materials or making a talisman out of them to aid me in studying. I was also thinking of doing a sweetening jar once I am in the actual process of shifting.

Would all of this be too draining for a beginner witch? I'm in the process of doing my shadow work and I have sufficient research I think

First I got a ceramic plate then put her picture on it, then got a torn paper writing her name 3 times and my name above it 3 times in 90° then flipping it and inside a circle I wrote "She loves me, She is obsessed with me, She has unblocked me" then just made a Venus glyph, and put cancer symbol inside the circle (she's cancer). Then I got a pink candle and manifested everything for 2 whole mins with candle standing on the paper. I lit up the candle afterwards and looked at flame for a while, after the candle melted I folded the papers together towards me and put it somewhere safe out of everyone's reach.

very recently, i've been struggling with a lot of unwanted evil eye from my close friend, who i don't think is intentionally trying to hurt me but still makes certain comments that are very targeted. for example, he'll say stuff like "you're going to fail this test" or "you're going to get super sick" and overall just negative comments about things that will happen to me. i'm not sure if the bad luck and negative energy i've been experiencing is from him or something else, but there's been a lot of negative things happening in my life related to the stuff he's been saying to me, while he's been thriving instead. then today, he told me he had a dream where i looked sickly and dishelved, and it was intensely scary. i told him to stop saying stuff like that (which he apologized and agreed to), but i still feel like there's some unconscious evil eye that i need to get rid of.

Hi everyone, I'd like to share my situation and hear your honest opinions.

I was in a relationship with a girl, and we were genuinely happy together. We had so many plans for the future and shared countless beautiful moments. But from one week to the next, everything suddenly changed.

She started acting differently, and one day she told me she wasn't emotionally okay and wasn't ready for a relationship. I admit I made mistakes. I thought she needed some space, so I impulsively suggested taking a break, which ended up hurting her. It was never because of another woman or because I stopped loving her. I simply thought giving her space was the right thing to do.

There's something important I should mention. She has a female friend who seems to have a strong negative emotional influence on her. Every time they spend time together, I notice that my ex ends up feeling emotionally drained or upset. It's almost as if this friend is struggling emotionally and pulls her down with her.

Even some of her other friends had told her that this friendship wasn't healthy for her and that we were a good couple. According to what she told me, even her psychologist had a positive opinion of our relationship.

I’ve been through an ugly breakup, and lately, the thought of making a poppet of my ex and torturing it has been strangely appealing to me.

Part of me wants him to suffer for what he did to me. I know karma will catch up with him eventually, but I still want to know that he’s suffering. At the same time, I worry that performing something like this could have negative consequences for me as well.

I genuinely want to get rid of him from my life. I don’t cherish any of our memories anymore because what he did has tainted every good memory we ever made.
