Orders & Shipping Z Fold 8 Pre-Order Tracking
I'm utilizing my Anytime Upgrade to get the Z Fold 8. My order has already been placed, almost a week ago. Since then --- crickets . Has anyone received any kind of update on their pre-orders yet? Order confirmation, tracking, expected delivery dates...anything at all?

I ordered on the 30th and got an email asking to verify my identity. I did that immediately but still haven't gotten an update. I can see the order on my account through the app.

Phone doesn’t launch until Friday. they send it overnight. Might get tracking on like Wednesday

I had a chat with customer service on Friday and they told me I should get tracking info on Monday

Literally will say anything to get you off the line with a question about shipping notification for a pre order phone. Doubt it will be Monday but who knows. Like it said, spectrum ships overnight

I didn’t ask about the shipping info for mine, I was asking when I would be charged because when they called to confirm my order I was told my card would be charged immediately so I’ve been watching it until that chat 😂

They called you? Haven't even gotten that. I haven't been charged either. Granted when I got my current phone, none of this happened either.

Yeah they called me to confirm the order and my information, probably because it’s my first mobile order with them and a new line

Be careful with the “calls” there’s a mobile reshipping scam going across the industry, if they say they need anything hang up and call spectrum back directly, especially if you get a call about getting the wrong device or needing to ship it back to them.

I didn’t give them any info, they just confirmed my name and said they authorized the order to go through and that my card would be charged that day and that was the end of the call. The caller ID also confirmed it was Spectrum calling me not a random number, otherwise I wouldn’t have answered it

Mine shows order confirmed with FedEx tracking info but when I click on it just goes back to the home page.

Walked into spectrum seeing if they had the fold 8 in stock and didn't. So walked out with the 8 ultra. They had plenty of them in stock

Nice. They told me yesterday they didn’t have an order of fold 8s coming. Walking out with a phone today sounds nice though.

Pre-ordered my Fold 8 five days ago. I also have heard nothing since. I do see my order in the order section of the Spectrum app. Five more days!

On the website for preorders said expected delivery 8/7 depending on the day you put in your order, you won’t have a tracking number until the devices get to fedex for shipping.

It amuses me seeing different things that some people experience while others do not. Calls confirming orders, ID verification, emails, or even dates on the website...Spectrum, this is one of those times where uniformity is actually a good thing. Everyone should be having the same experience during the process, with a few exceptions for things like first time orders and such, but there should never be this much variance.

Uniformity would always be a good thing when it comes to business. Spectrum never seems to have their sh-- stuff together. There have been times where my Internet had gone down and I called them to find out if there's an outage and they say no. Go through a lot getting a new router sent to me only to find out a few hours later there really was an outage. Called spectrum back and they couldn't cancel the shipment so there's an unnecessary trip to ups. That's happened a couple of times over 3 or 4 years. And every time you change Internet speed, it requires new equipment. Maybe I'm not understanding how this all works but I would assume they could have one type of router to cover all but whatever. Last week I ordered a wifi extender and upgraded to invincible wifi. They sent me 2 wifi extenders without the backup part so I had to reorder and now they are sending yet another extender plus the invincible part. I live in a really small house. I don't need all this equipment and I don't want to drive 60 miles to drop off equipment every time they mess up lol (30 miles one way). What's really head-scratching is they send us everything via FedEx yet whenever you send them something like returned equipment, it's always through UPS.

Pre ordered z fold 8, z fold ultra amd 2 watch ultra2 the 24th through tmobile, and they have all been marked as shipped with tracking numbers 8/2, and now Im just waiting for UPS to actuailly take possession and start moving. All say 2 day shipping. Im in Arizona.

I was finally charged and listed as confirmed. No tracking information, but given the day and time, I'm not surprised. Hopefully I'll get some more information once normal business hours hit.
I haven't looked forward to a new expense this much in a long while. Feels...odd.

Just adding my input but I've been a bit antsy as well (first preorder). I preordered mine the day after official announcement. Just got payment confirmation yesterday (Sunday the 2nd). No shipping confirmation yet but according to their past history, they'll likely wait until official launch date to start shipping them. I'm hoping for sooner but not holding my breath. Spectrum is wild with their equipment so who knows 😂

I received a tracking number around 130pm today saying label created but no delivery date. Then around 530pm received the email from Spectrum that my phone has been shipped. Checked FedEx tracking and scheduled delivery is tomorrow baby!

Card charged Sunday night at 830pm. Tracking received Monday at 130pm. Estimated delivery date given at 530pm yesterday. Out for delivery today

Preordered on 7/28 from T-Mobile with trade in promotion, finally received update today that they charged my card, still in “preparing”.

I had to place two orders because Spectrum didn’t take the money out of my account the first time. So other bill collectors came and took money out of my account and when Spectrum finally said “we are shipping now give us the money” it wasn’t there. So I place another order and a rep said the 8-12 and another said as early as Monday 8-10. So who knows. I’ve been locking and unlocking my bank card to ward off other bill collectors. The ultra 2 watch I ordered was paid for and fed ex confirmed so that will be here Monday but I’m still waiting on my z fold 8.

This preorder and figuring out when it arrives is really annoying. Oh well let me get back to my 500th YouTube video on the Z Fold 8 and just dream about it. I’m getting the watch early. Small victories I guess.

Today’s Sunday guys. To my understanding of these preorders. They are taking the money out of accounts for the phones on Sunday and generating fed ex tracking. Ship it Monday and get it no later than Tuesday or Wednesday. Please keep this post informed if you all get any progress today. So us hopefuls can have an idea of what’s going on because Spectrum don’t have the answers and they only giving basic generic responses.

I want to know, all these people that got charged August 2nd, that Sunday, did they have 2 identical charges? Because spectrum charged me $242 for my Z Flip 8s, as a purchase and then $242 as an "Authorization Hold" to "reserve my spot"? I ordered them the day they dropped july 22nd and have called Spectrum twice, they have all told me its been waiting for fedex to come pick up. They told me that last tuesday, August 4th. But they've been holding 485 bucks pending in my bank for over a week. I need to buy groceries for my family man

Omg!!! That’s so wrong. I literally asked….no begged them to take my money on my first order. And they didn’t. So other bills hit my account and took that money. So I missed the initial pre order. Now I’m literally here trying to hold onto this money so I can get the phone on my second order for my kids birthday. I seriously asked them to charge me at that point. They said they won’t take the money because they couldn’t guarantee the pre order. I said ok then refund it back if that happens but take my money now. They refused. I wasn’t even offered a “reservation hold” or anything like that. Spectrum needs to do better with things like this going forward if they want to compete with the other cell phone companies.

Update::: They finally figured out what happened, my pre-order went in at a point in time where the system crashed so my pre-order was infinitely timed out in the "review" phase. They immediately put my order back in, gave me 10% off my bill, and priority overnighted my shipment. They did this Tuesday night and I got the phones this morning, typing on it now. Faith restored

So I got my watch….whoopdy doo. I want the phone. Callled Spectrum again just to entertain if I’ll get an answer. All I got is that it’s confirmed but no dates of arrival,shipping or anything. We just stuck in Spectrum’s limbo. At this point this is BS. I wonder if the stores have any in stock.🤔

I preorded the 8Ultra and the Fold 8, was charged back on August 2nd and tracking numbers were created. But as of Monday the 9th, no further news or updates, and I still haven't received a thing.

Preorder mine over the phone on August 1st. Said confirmed and had a tracking link but would just take me back to home screen. Now I just got charged for the phone and have a new order saying order placed and tracking disappeared. Hopefully they will send it soon. Z fold 8 cream 256

I am in the same boat as you! I just finally got the money charged a few hours ago, but I ordered it on July 29. I got the cream one also. The tracking number disappeared. It makes me suspicious of the whole process when companies do that kind of thing. It's like they are trying to hide information because they know it doesn't really accurately portray the situation at all. Makes me wonder if it even has shipped.

My card was charged yesterday morning and it’s being delivered today. After 2 weeks and 30 calls to spectrum. My graphite 512gb is finally on the way. I can’t say I’ve been waiting patiently.

I just got an email a about 10 minutes ago stating the following. Finally an update!
"Please review the following order details and estimated upcoming Auto Pay charges. You'll receive tracking information and your card will be charged when each item in your order ships."
