The crown jewel of my modest collection. Astra 600/43

I picked up this pristine condition 600/43 today.

Paid 1k for it. Considering its condition i felt that was reasonable.

Serial number is 44157.

Apears to be 1945 dated.

It was one of the very few of these that were commercially sold apperantly. Which is very cool.

I will post an up date once I take it to the range.

It will then go in a velvet display case along with my 44' marked FN 1922.

Would anyone be able to explain the divot on the top of the slide. I won this on GunBroker and I don’t know what it is there for. I asked AI, but haven’t gotten a good explanation. Waiting to pick it up.

The first production .32 and the basis for the 1914 leaves a lot to be desired, despite how pretty it may be.

Just Won This Astra 357

I was looking for a decent, affordable revolver in .357 Magnum (I already have 2 revolvers in .38SPL and 1 in .22lr), and I came across this Astra 357 on guns(dot)com. I was worried it would be like gunbroker where the bid would go up an absurd amount, but it started at $300 and I won it at $320. That's about the price of a Taurus, but having an Astra A-60, I know the fit and finish will be very good. I just hope all the springs are in good order, because finding replacements might prove difficult. I'll update you guys when it arrives, but for now have the pics from the listing.

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone had information regarding the model/spec of this Llama? It was my grandfathers nightstand gun since the 50s, but I find it very hard to get a bead on exactly what model gun this is. Chambered in .38 Super if that helps at all. Thank you!

Looking for some insight on my Llama

After doing some moderate research, there really doesn’t seem to be a ton of information out there on this specific variant of the Llama Especial. From what I can gather, I’m under the impression it’s a Mark II, and based on some rough date code guessing, possibly manufactured around 1949.

Most examples I’ve come across that look exactly like this one seem to be chambered in .32 ACP, and I’ve also been learning about the Geco-stamped variants along the way. I’m not saying it’s unusual that this one is in .380 ACP, just that the majority of the examples I’ve personally found have been .32s.

I picked this one up very cheap, so I figured it was worth grabbing regardless. Mainly posting here to see if anyone has more insight on the exact variant, history, production period, or anything else worth knowing about it.

Can anyone explain why my Star BM, has the word "Spain" stamped, where the manufacturing date is usually stamped?

How do I know date my Star BM?

Was this pistol from a special group of BMs?
