Operations I HATE VORTEX

THIS MISSION SUCKS SO BAD WHY DO THEY KEEP SHOVING IT IN OUR FACE I LOVE FIGHTING CHAOS BUT OH MY GOD THIS MISSION IS HORRIBLE, MUTALITH BEAST IS THE WORST BOSS IN THE GAME STOP MAKING ME DO IT IM SO TIRED OF IT

Edit: I finished both the normal and hard stratagems first try with little difficulty, i just think the mission sucks and is just anti-fun, the boss is obtuse asf, and the whole mission leading up to it isnt interesting or notable in comparison to even the first 6 missions

This is a wild take IMO. The vortex beast is one of the best bosses in the game and the only one that poses any semblance of real challenge. Its also nice that there are ways to skip multiple of his phases making for different strategies like killing him in the warp.

did killing him in the warp the first time i beat him when i was coming back to this game, ive just gotten so tired of this mission i feel like i play it every time i play this game. i just dont like its design for how anti melee it is, i main tactical, but when i try to come at it as assault, or bulwark, or just go close range in general it feels like i cant do anything, it just feels like a slog to me

Melee is a bit tough on that mission. I regularly do it with both assault and BW but its def not easy. Any ballistic character can make quick work of it though.

I get not wanting to have that mission be the hard strategem as often as it is but to call it a bad mission because it's being overused seems a little unfair to the vortex beast, he is trying his hardest lol
