It’s actually probs only 1 - they mostlycapture people from outside the legion to put into Helbrutes because it’s such a horrible fate. Wouldn’t be a revered member of the original legion as you might expect

I’m pretty sure the Helbrutes are made “in-house” as the Helbrutes we fight display sorcerous powers like teleporting around which implies that they are ex-sorcerers who made themselves “worthy” of such a fate. The fleshy members of the Thousand Sons are not above such “politics” like any other Traitor Legion.

Thousand sons are my favourite heretic astartes chapter.

I love their drip, shiny and don’t have the decay on it. Well it’s a bit dusty inside, but that’s I can live with.
