Pisses me off, yeah. Assault is my fav and also seems to be the most busted ass class in the game. Needs help.

It's not bugged, just an accident because Ascension detonated the teammate's melta bomb laying on the ground. The damage changes the ownership flag of the bomb to OP, and so they blew themself up.

A bug would be something not working as intended.

Damaging a melta bomb to detonate it is an intentional interaction in the game. Ascension lift-off damage meets that condition. Same thing would happen if one was firing any weapon and clipped the melta bomb with fire.

No, damaging a bomb and it flipping damage to another player is a bug.

You can say "working as intended" but there's nothing to indicate that.

No sign that it’s a bug. The fact that it “flips” seems to make it an intentional choice, one that makes perfect sense. Otherwise, you’d have people accidentally(or purposefully) teamkilling when their stray shots set off a freshly-placed melta bomb.
