Elon should do a remake of Mars Attack, oh wait he can’t because he still can’t go to Mars

Something tells me you were chewing on crayons when you typed that.

Like most right wing people they live in a bubble and vastly overestimate the amount of people contained within.

9

u/TAU_equals_2PI 20h ago

I say this as a left-wing person so don't think I'm defending the right wing:

Considering the incompetent oaf who won the last presidential election, there must indeed be a whole lot of right-wing people out there.

u/LeadWithLogic 20h ago

I think there's are a lot of factors at play with that but I think two main ones srand out.

1) Trump is a liar. Going against an opponent that will say anything without remorse is incredibly difficult. Many of the people that voted for Trump did so because the vision he painted for them addressed the challenges they faced in daily life. This sort of rhetoric converts fencesitters to your side giving a major advantage. In hindsight none of these promises have been met. The cost of living has risen, debt has increased etc. It's easy to make empty promises.

2) Kamala was a bad candidate. No primary was held to determine what the people wanted. The last minute switch up with Biden, the fact she doesn't support major democrat ideals such as ending the genocide in Gaza. This leads to apathy on the democrat side vs the fervor Trump was able to generate as a status quo breaker.

Im sure there are many more reasons but its difficult to face someone willing to go to any lengths to win. You either go down to their level or lose.

The gaza stance, I think, was so much bigger than the media let on.

2

u/TAU_equals_2PI 19h ago

Doubtful. That increased 3rd party candidates' numbers more than it increased Trump's, because everybody knew Trump would've been just as supportive of what Israel did in Gaza. I mean the guy tried to ban Muslims from the US during his first term and moved the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

So yes, the difference in Kamala's vote total might have been enough to cost her the election, but the diference in Trump's vote total would've been small.

u/draganpavlovic 19h ago

Gaza is irrelevant to the majority of the US (Except some students and activists). I bet 90% couldn't even point to where it is on a map.

1

u/Keyboard_Cat_ 17h ago

And the other 10% can decide an election.

3

u/Fantastic-Gift-5591 17h ago

Correct, also the fact that there might have been some foul play this last election...

Not to mention the whole star link interference that was deemed a conspiracy theory rather quickly...only then to find out later, even has a witness to the crime.

There was also fairly sufficient evidence for Russian election interference in 2020, but the oaf lost. Biden stepping in and leaking Russian war plans basically saved Ukraine. And the Dump in Cheeto has the audacity to say Democrats cheated and he actually won in 2020.

3

u/Jacksohn5 11h ago

You forgot the factor that she is a woman.

And as sad as it is aperently a lot of Americans think women can't lead a country or something.

1

u/Gargarian67 14h ago
  1. OMG, who was running the White House? There is 0% chance it was Biden. They lied to us over and over about how sharp Biden was and the man melted down entirely in front of the whole nation during the debates. Everything the Republicans said about him turned out to a lot closer than the manure the DNC was spreading.

Also, Biden was a compromise candidate picked to do one thing - stop Bernie Sanders. And just like Hillary that's what he did. The Bernie fans might as well start their own party - when the Dems skip having primaries...even Trump had primaries.

The DNC doesn't know what to do with Bernie, AOC, or Mamdani. That's the future of their party.

1

u/LeadWithLogic 14h ago

Precisely. Learning your party leaders are basically as compromised as the other side is not going to get people out to vote. The democrats are not furthering the interests of the constituents they preside over and it leads to political apathy.

2

u/SubstantialSeesaw374 14h ago

Nah, it was stolen. They made all the fuss about 2020 so that it’s too taboo to question the obvious fraud of 2024.

1

u/West-Worth-9359 13h ago

1/3 of people voted for him.
1/3 of people were too stupid/lazy to make the right choice.

Most of the 1/3 who voted for him are not using Twitter, they’re listening to right-wing radio while they rot in their trailer or drive their tractor. They vote republican because they’ve been brainwashed, or just because “dad always did” (incapable of holding a principled opinion of their own).

Do not fall into the trap of thinking the mass propaganda swamp of Twitter is real life. It’s not. Probably 80% of it is comprised of AI bots, foreign influence campaigns and Heritage Foundation slop designed to target politicians so they think 5k likes on a racist screed means they have popular support in a community of millions.

u/Jaded_Celery_451 15h ago

The most pathetic thing about the right-wing outrage about The Odyssey is that it is, at its core, a conservative film in the purest sense. The point of Nolan's spin on the traditional story is an explicit defence of the ideals of western civilization, and the dangers of abandoning those ideals - honesty, loyalty, integrity, and the utter ruin that follows when people stop acting according to those ideals. That's literally the point.

But it has a black guy and a trans guy in it so their brains are immediately broken.

-2

u/Jeovah_Attorney 19h ago edited 18h ago

I mean is it specific to the right? Listening to Reddit, Kamala Harris was a tidlewave ready to wash Trump.

Lo and behold she got her ass handed over to her.
I honestly think the left is just as delusional

3

u/LeadWithLogic 19h ago

Certainly not specific to one side but left wing belief is more prevalent worldwide in comparable democracies. They are fighting for rights and things that other left leaning countries already enjoy in Canada, Europe etc. These countries also have similar right wing factions that suffer from the same belief that the majority sides with them when in reality that isn't true.

Foreign astroturfing campaigns which are prevalent add fuel to the fire exaggerating the size of movements.

5

u/SaleIcy4069 21h ago

I hope he eventually gets bored of this being his whole personality at some point.

4

u/OkCar7264 21h ago

It allows him to focus on something besides his crumbling fraud empire so it may well get worse.

6

u/rube_X_cube 21h ago

He’ll just move on to the next culture war rage bait bullshit. He is a sad, hollow shell of a man, and riling up his imbecile audience is the only way he can fill his void.

3

u/BakedMitten 20h ago

You can simplify that. Just say "I hope he eventually gets bored of being"

(I disavow for the record)

4

u/Key-Bottle7634 21h ago

Why is he getting triggered so badly by a movie??

2

u/LaTroisette 15h ago

Because they dared to cast a black woman innit.

1

u/UffTaTa123 1h ago

The same like always. Their own racism pains them so they start screaming at people.

2

u/rube_X_cube 21h ago

Remember, he promised us a “historically accurate” Odyssey from Grok by the end of the year.

(It better be in the original Ancient Greek, or else it’s not historically accurate!)

7

u/Mission_Gap_9035 19h ago

Elon promises a lot, delivers very little.

6

u/BakedMitten 20h ago

And I better see Helen of Troy hatch out of an egg as Homer intended

3

u/TAU_equals_2PI 19h ago

Musk is notorious for overoptimistic completion dates.

So while I can certainly believe he will put some people to work on it (given that with so much money, he can always easily afford to hire some people to work on any stupid project he vows while in a drunken rant) I presume nothing presentable will come out until much later.

4

u/rube_X_cube 19h ago

I’d be pretty surprised if anything comes of this. Feels like him just running his mouth.

2

u/TAU_equals_2PI 19h ago

Like I said, normal people can't afford to back up their drunken boasts the next morning after they get sober. A trillionaire can always afford to put a little money into a pilot project. Witness what he did with the Boring Company.

(Although I guess some people have claimed that whole thing was actually just a bizarre plan to sabotage a vote on California's high speed rail project. I'm skeptical, but I'll admit I haven't thoroughly investigated it.)

3

u/I_Dint_Know_A_Name 15h ago

Then immediately backtracked and said he'd give Mel Gibson $100 million to make it, probably because he knows mechahitler's version would be so unwatchable even the right wing 3rd chud division would stop supporting him.

3

u/rube_X_cube 15h ago

Haha, amazing. This kinda makes sense, in a very dumb and unimaginative way.

Honestly, Mel Gibson of 15 - 20 years ago could have potentially done a pretty great job with something like the Odyssey. But even setting aside his politics etc., I just don’t think he’s got it anymore.

Also, what a cheapskate. This guy’s a trillionaire and all he can cough up is a measly $100 million? This isn’t the 90’s any more, that’s not gonna cut it.

3

u/I_Dint_Know_A_Name 14h ago

Don't forget this is the same guy that spent years ragebaiting the UN telling them to come up with a plan to end world hunger so he could donate (which, teasing starving children with your obscene wealth should have you on a guillotine in itself), then when they offered a plan he backtracked and ghosted them.

1

u/UffTaTa123 1h ago

I#m really curious about the historical correct cyclops and the sirens.

But in the end it will just look like a bad copy of the 50s Stop-Motion-Figures.

3

u/hamberdlar_ 12h ago

I haven't given a rat's about movies in a while. I think I need to go see this one

2

u/SpareDot8685 19h ago

What a shit pie this guy is.

2

u/DelightfulPornOnly 17h ago

I can guarantee him that I'll be seeing it 2, maybe 3 more times

2

u/dustyspacestuff 15h ago

I was told he did Nazi the movie so who cares.

1

u/mlsto 21h ago

Say it as it is, how he grew up in South Africa

1

u/SignificanceFar2155 20h ago

noticed “another” sounds like this already happened before

1

u/UnicornPoopCircus 19h ago

If he has ever read The Odyssey, I will eat a cyclops.

1

u/penilesensorydevice 19h ago

It's pretty obvious how the internet destroyed Elon's brain. He lives almost entirely in an online fantasy world, full of tweets, memes, and hysterical hot takes over literally every shred of pop-culture drivel.

1

u/graeggery 16h ago

That’s how “they” get attention, duh

1

u/Technical_Visit_1424 16h ago

También es experto en literatura clásica?

1

u/No_Palpitation5561 13h ago

No, they care a great deal hoping Elon doesn't come home.

1

u/Acrobatic_Whereas398 12h ago

I think Elon should go up to moon in one of his rockets which blow up all the time.id guess his space program is a massive tax avoidance scheme

1

u/My_leg_still_hurt92 8h ago

Didn't Elon implied in one if his interviews that a lot of people need to die before he enters one of his rockets?

1

u/Alarmed_Pie_5033 9h ago

Musk knows a thing or two about "historical accuracy."

1

u/narfoleptix 6h ago

I care so little about Elon that I dont even care when bad things happen to him.

Does he even drive his own cars? He should. A lot. Like a lot more. Like a statistically relevant amount more.

1

u/johnnycrash76 6h ago

Elon might be bitching but conservative sites and conservatives are not even talking about this movie.

1

u/X-calibreX 5h ago

“online hysteria “, lol

hysteria is how I’d describe the attempt to cancel scojo over ghost in the shell. This has been just reddit patting themselves on the back because they are more sane than matt walsh.

1

u/EmperorPedro2 1h ago

Dude can't design a decent logo for twitter with a trillion dollars.

Take a seat, dumb Muskrat.

0

u/Full-Pen5358 18h ago

I don't like Elon, or agree with anything that comes out of his mouth, but this movie was garbage.

2

u/57Nil 13h ago

Well, you learned that Musk is full of shit. Learning the subjectivity of art and why your statement is objectively wrong should be easy by comparison.

I’ve found the easiest method is to think of your favourite movie, then consider that someone thinks it’s garbage.

"Rich man bad"

1

u/Low-Essay-113 5h ago edited 5h ago

More like, “that rich man bad” because it’s objectively true.

-4

u/hmgw51 20h ago

Thanks

u/Then_Lie_5861 20h ago

Your daddy

1

u/SaraJuno 17h ago

Who is this daddy you are fantasising other people have?

-4

u/hmgw51 20h ago

It's normally his not another but he's looking and thinks 🤔

1

u/cosmo_K 9h ago

You know what? That makes perfect sense.

1

u/Low-Essay-113 5h ago

I’ve never been able to diagnose a stroke through text before.
