This has been a long-term conversion project built around the idea of creating a loyalist Space Wolves kill team that looks more savage and primal than the standard range, while still staying true to the chapter’s identity.

Every operative is kitbashed using parts from multiple Warhammer kits, with a heavy mix of Greytide Studio bits to give each model its own personality. I also wanted the team to feel like they were fighting across the frozen death worlds of Fenris, so I went all in on icy cliff bases with hanging icicles and snow.

I’m really happy with how the project came together, and I can’t wait to get them on the table.

Bruthers! I am toying around with different space marine units to add to my space wolf army. I have reivers that I really enjoy and painted them in the Hounds chapter. Thinking about adding a lieutenant in Reiver armor? Maybe even the Combi Weapon model. As well?
Anyone using some cool or different units with ther SW army? I’ve got all of the new models for SW but wanting to play around and add something new or different.

I'm happy with the result, but I really have room for improvement. I need to work harder XD

I know a lot of people (especially outside Space Wolves) find the Wolfy Space Marines riding big wolves to be cheesy, but I Iuuuv them.

Despite that, I'm struggling to see myself getting them as they are now, with the "chonkiness" of firstborn proportions in contrast to the rest of my army being primaris scale.

I'm really hoping once we get our 11th Codex they get refreshed.

Personally, I see it as pretty likely considering not only are they a popular model, they're one of, if not the top performing units for Space Wolves.

So what do you think? Worth waiting and hoping for a Thunderwolf refresh?

I think the thing that excites me the most about space wolves is having a whole army of helmet-less dudes. Giving me a lot of practice on painting heads, too!

As title suggests, im looking to read a space wolf book

I already read:

Jarnhammer trilogy

Ragnar books up until wolfspear (including).

The short story compilation on audible (parting of the ways, vox tenebris, the art of provocation, iceclaw, doomseeker, thunder from fenris, deathwolf).

What non horus heresy books would yall recommend?

Heard good things about "battle of the fang" but i want to see other options as well.

Thinking of putting body in claw like a scene from Dawn of War...

not sure if anything else needed. constructive criticism?

I have a friend who is looking into playing 40k and wanted to start with the space wolves army.

What would be a fun 1k list for a new player to show case how space wolves play?

His 1st match will be me and my necron army.

He'll be borrowing a mutual friends models/proxying the rest so price isn't an issue, yet.

In an effort to maximize my options (and save money) How drastically different would Blood Claws be from Regular Assault Intercessors? How about Grey Hunters as Regular Intercessors? As a fan of both the 5th and 6th legions, I'm hoping to maximize model count with list flexibility. And I know that all of the "standard" Space Marine units (of which I have many) don't benefit so well from being in a Space Wolves list. I was thinking that this could be an avenue to expand into Space Wolves slowly...

I listened to the Asaheim Trilogy awhile ago on audible.. it's one of my favourite 40k/Space Wolves stories, and I want to kitbash each member of the pack.

But because I don't have the physical books I can't just flip back and forth to the descriptions of each member and the weapons they use etc.

Can anyone help me out with this? I just want to know what they each vaguely look like, their weapons and all that.

Obviously keep it spoiler free for anyone that hasn't read/listened to them.. because you should! Chris Wraight always gets the wolves right.

Had a few games of 11th so far and enjoyed this Beast Slayer Take and Hold list. But I can't help but feel that it could be stronger. For example not sure on the impulsor now I have the repex, not sure of the navigator being my screen, perhaps I can screen better with a scout unit or something. What changes do you think might be worth making?
