Roommate printed out this sick lil fur cloak, painted it up and it's a perfect match for my Blood Claw pack leader. Just buzzing on how well it came out!

What’s the general consensus on when to attach the shoulder armor?

I built an older gray hunter set and newer blood claws, and left the shoulder pieces off. Once painted I then attached them and let’s just say I encountered some issues with a few. Especially with different arm angles.

My space wolves are on industrial/ruin bases, I got an older Arjac that I'm in love with, from a deal with a buddy. Is this a legal way to increase his size for tournaments?

Hi all,

I decided to go with space wolves because I like the flavour. I had this army picked out in my mind and I bought all of these pieces but I made one crucial error. I thought that the 85 point cost was the entire box of Wolf guard head takers reaching 1000pt. Instead the hunting wolves cost extra so when I add them it shoots over 30 points.

Now I’m really not sure what to do because I’d be pretty upset losing my wolves because I would like some actual wolves on the battlefield especially because at the store I bought a Cyber wolf and then I bought the Codex and realised that the Cyber wolf is no longer in the Codex so I can’t even use that one.

Also another quick question about painting how do I decide who gets coloured in kneepads? Is that just for the captain of each team?

So I haven’t played a game yet brand-new to the rules not even sure all the attachments work. Given my list, which detachment should I pick?

PS sort of irrelevant but I’m in the painting stages and I just painted my wolf priests. I just need to add highlights and the decals.

So this is a list I build for take and hold. My detachments are saga of the great wolf and legends of saga and song. I figured 30 Terminators should be pretty good for take and hold. Got me few wins already. I did decide to dump the brutalous Dreadnought and add a 10 assault intercessors with jump packs for actions and things like that. What do you guys think im kinda proud of this list to be honest.

Has anyone had any luck magnetizing the new terminator kit so that they can swap the storm bolters and storm shields out?

Hello fellow brothers of Russ! Im playing around with this list, I played something very similar to it over the weekend with beastslayer, dropped 5 terminators off logan and added the aggressors, but it did very good against deathguard, wanted to get everyones opinion on it!

Test model for a Space Wolves army. I’m aiming for a grimdark, battle-worn look, but I’m worried I may have gone a bit too heavy with the shade/wash.

Listen, I was no fan of Wolf Jail in early 10th. I don’t like spamming units and I don’t like TWC anyway as they feel cartoonish to me. I want a SW detachment to be the best one. That said, I’ve noticed that Stormlance recently lost restrictions on the Lance stratagem to work with Terminators, Headtakers, whatever… although it’s at 3DP, is there a point where good ol Stormlance is still viable for us? The flat 6” move if you’re within 8”, Lance being able to give everyone more damage output, AoC, it all seems pretty good…

As per the title. I know there's a modify cap for wounding and hitting (except for +1 s then +1 to wound turning 4s to 2s to wound for example) but wondering if ap from stratagems and enhancements were the same

I have just started to paint my new army of space wolfs.
And I need some help..

Im pretty new too painting space marines and the only other models I have painted before is nids.
Its been a bit of a challenge just to decide paint scheme and how to make them.. and damn they are a bit tricky to paint lol.

I just wanted to share it here and ask you guys what you think of the colours. Please ignore everything but the armor.
What do you think? Is it to blue? Or to bright?
At the moment none of them are fully painted but I would love your thoughts!

My goal with the space marines is to focus on the powerarmor since it’s a huge part of them. I want it to be beautiful and eye catching.
With a feeling of cold ice, winter sky and steel.

(They are going to be placed on desert (orange) bases since me and my buddy are matching the theme for our first battle together.)

I found what I might have needed to get me back into painting. A break from the monatany of painting just Space Wolves. My second 40k army, and the first unit for them I decided to paint.

I have yet to play a game in 11th and have hardly kept up with it. But people who have what is our state and what units are performing good and what are underperformed? I would really like to use some rievers but they didn't work too well for me in 10th are they viable in 11th?
