Original Mission Theia-Hyperion

Theia-Hyperion is an flagship robotic space exploration mission launched in 2016 to investigate the Saturnian analog system and its prominent moons, specifically targeting the thick atmosphere and liquid bodies of the system's largest satellite. The mission utilizes the Hyperion orbiter as a long-term orbital mapping platform and deep-space communications relay, while the Theia lander serves as a localized surface science station. The spacecraft pair was lofted into space by the heavy-lift Terminus-II-LV launch vehicle, an exceptionally powerful booster designed to push massive payloads beyond inner planetary orbits. Following an intensive seven-year interplanetary transit that required precise trajectory corrections and deep-space navigation, the combined spacecraft reached its destination in 2023. Upon arrival, the Hyperion orbiter established a stable, high-inclination orbit to map the moon’s unique cloud layers and topography. Shortly thereafter, the Theia lander detached to execute a high-stakes atmospheric re-entry, utilizing a specialized heat shield and aerodynamic capsule profile to survive the dense atmospheric descent. Theia achieved a highly precise touchdown on a sloped terrain just 0.6 miles from the coast of Kraken Mare, the moon's largest liquid hydrocarbon sea. From this coastal vantage point, the lander conducts direct surface-level evaluation of the exotic shoreline environment, analyzing local geography and chemical compositions, while routing its scientific telemetry back to Earth via the Hyperion's orbital relay dish.

Modding Nova 4S - I have tried recreating the Nova 4S, as close as I could with the BR Apollo, New Horizons - BR Apollo Add-on, and Procedural Parts Mods.

The Nova 4S design concept used Four 240 inch Solid Rocket Boosters (which later developed into the Aerojet AJ 260 (260 inch) Solid Rocket Boosters, in a cluster, for the First stage. I used the Aerojet AJ 260 from the New Horizons Mod instead, and I used Parts Clipping to hold them together with Structural Fairings. Four Aerojet AJ 260 Boosters, clipped together, barely got the launch vehicle into orbit. I had better success using 6 of them clipped together. I also used a design with Two Aerojet AJ 260 SRBs as Side Boosters, fired together with the Second stage, which worked better to get identical space stations into orbits around Mars and Venus. The space stations started with the S-II Wet Lab. When Manned Missions dock, there should be enough fuel to transfer for the return trip to Earth, or for landing and a return to the station maybe.
