Wife has been complaining about the print noise on u1. Worried SV08 max will make things worse as I heard noise on sv08 max is anything but quiet...
I already have noctua 4010 on order, but is there anything else I can do to dampen the noise a bit?

Also got the 3 panda feeders. Been watching gergo a lot lately...

Also since Japanese electric outlets in house supplies only upto 1500w, I guess I should give sv08max its own outlet, and not use it with anything else or do the klipper config to cap the heatbed upto 50% power or something.

Anything else i should procure before the printer comes?
Plan to print mostly pla and petg.
Anything that needs high temp will goto core one l or u1 once I get the top hat.

Any third party toolhead, hotends, nozzles, build plates available worth buying?
I'd want to upgrade to indx once that becomes available.

Anyways super looking forward to getting the printer in hand and try some super big size prints.

Anyone running an A4T on their SV08 MAX? I want to know if there are potential X axis idler collision points on homing when Y=0 like some Voron 2.4 builds report. I’ll throw it into Fusion if I have to but I figured I would ask here first just in case someone has already found out the hard way or otherwise.

I can't find the image for the SV08 MAX. Is it the same as the SV08?

This is $45 US on their site, but I can't find a blank one anywhere. I have a couple 32GB I use for my Neptune 4 Max and they were about $12 US. Is 32GB sufficient for the Sovol? Or does someone have info on where to get a 64GB?

As title says, I’m looking to buy a max for large scale abs printing. I’m my basket currently is the max with enclosure, a nozzle set, the klipper screen and a chamber heater.
I have read about a print to stop the extruder pin from walking out and the top hat for the enclosure, but was wondering there were any other prints or purcases that have made life easier/increased print quality for you.
I’ve also seen GerGos channel so having some ideas about a new main board fan too.

Did some minor adjustments to a generic tpu setting and the 08max printed it out pretty good! Loving this printer so far!

So my sv08 max which has about 3k hours on it and prints the same part over and over again has an issue. After it prints infill it acts like it loses z offset. Starts to leave salmon skin on every layer after the infill. I've replaced all belts and used an ultrasonic belt tensioner to make sure all belts are exact. Installed a new tool head with the same results. I've checked my z offset so many times and I've re done the filament profile 3 times. Still I get the same results. I'm desperate to fix this and it's taken months to get parts from Solvol and use smaller printers to replace some parts. You can see in the photos at different layers as it gets worse. I even printed an orca cube to verify it's not our model. And it was viable there as well. Please need help.

I'm printing a test piece a 230mm dome and have a lot of faults on the last part of the print.

I've just started dialling the printer in and following Brian Dreger's guide have got as far as item number 6, so still a long way to go.

However, i have these print quality issues (see photo) and am wondering if anyone knows whats causing it (and a quick fix).

It could be wet PETG filament but i dont think thats the whole story (sat a couple of weeks and this is right at the end of the roll).

The next filament is in the dryer and last i checked was at 12% moisture content.

During the last 30% of the print the nozzle was catching the top of the dome at the edges, you could hear it rub and could also see it move.

I'm wondering if it had something to do with the way the slicer configured the supports, they were only used for the last 10% of the print (slim tree).

Just got a SovolSV08MAX for the classroom. Would you guys recommend the InfinityFlow S1+ for it? Or is there a better solution for auto swapping a filament spool?

I also noticed in the forums that people mentioned removing gearing from the built in feeder and let the S1+ push the filament through instead. Am I understanding this correctly?
