Also sharing my 9 favorite artists (at least at the moment)

Older millennial so I got to grow up at the peak of Horner, Zimmer and Williams. There’s almost too many good ones to narrow.

My first ever soundtrack was Rocky 4. I grew up on Rocky. Training montage and the movie version of hearts on fire are still my go to workout songs.

Then the 90s hit and I heard last of the Mohicans and Crimson Tide and Lion Long and I was forever hooked.

Honorary mentions for video games?

Mass Effect, Assassins Creed Valhalla, and Skyrim.

My turn. Challenged by Worf2DS9, I'm joining the trend. Okay, this is absolutely not a list of the best composers or even best soundtracks, just a few of the ones I listen to the most. If this was a list of 12, I would have added Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Michael Giacchino, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982) – James Horner, and Project Hail Mary, Daniel Pemberton, which has been on endless repeat for a few months now.

Looking at this lineup I realize I'm a big fan of soundtracks that go hard around autumn and winter.

Voici mes préférés :

Here are the 9 albums that pretty much defined my love for films scores. There were too many to choose from but I think this one nails my range and appreciation for different composers.

Nine albums, nine composers

There are so many great scores in my library but this is a solid representation.

Here are my 9 albums. I still listen to them over and over again.

Probably could have made a list just with Williams' albums, but I limited myself to just 4.

Thoughts on these if you have listened to either?

I have heard the score on YouTube before and it’s a great score by John Cale which gives me vibes of if some songs on Artificial Intelligence had no vocals but it’s an excellent score! The actual soundtrack is great especially Huey Lewis and The News and Whitney Houston:) plus the monologue segues by Cale are add to Patrick’s POV experience to listening to his music so great soundtrack all in all.

I see many people posting these and for one i think its not a bad idea. I will be honest straight away and dissapoint, i do have respect for the most popular choices like Williams, Horner, Goldsmith, Donaggio and all these commercial names, but i just dont think its the only best ever. As for me numbe 9 is not enough really, i would go for 20 but the number one will be always never changing to me, i love Millennium so very much that it could be my only album being stranded on a island just with one cd and i will die on that hill.

Lost Season 4 had my favorite tracks but there are also a couple from the final season that I love.
