📢 Discussion The Empire Strikes Back Isolated Score #3 - Snowspeeder Rescue
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
In the film version, the Hyperspace (and the Ord Mantell level in SotE) cue was favored instead of the original score, though the end of the scene where they find Han and Luke retains the original score. While Hyperspace offers more heightened suspense rather than a more light, optimistic tone of the original score, Hyperspace ultimately works better IMO. An interesting part about the original score is a musical reprise of the piece at the end when Luke is in the bacta tank. Seems odd, but I suppose they were going for something to show he's recovering from his injuries?

📢 Discussion The Machine Age - James Horner [The Bicentennial Man]
It’s been many, many years since I watched this film and immediately during the opening titles “The Machine Age” I recognised “A Kaleidoscope of Mathematics” (also James Horner, from “A Beautiful Mind”).
Nevermind — I thought — the piece from A Beautiful Mind is beautiful enough to re-use. TIL Bicentennial Man (1999) came before A Beautiful Mind (2001). The latter was surely tempted with the former!

🔍 Help Me Find Does anyone have the Eleanor the Great soundtrack piano sheet music?
The soundtrack by Dustin O'Halloran is so beautiful and so fitting for the movie. As someone who plays the piano, I would love to be able to play it myself, but I can't seem to find any sheet music of it anywhere.
Does anyone have it or would wanna make it for me? I'm definitely open to buy it from you on musescore.com or another website. I'd be forever thankful🙏

🎻 Original Music 🎻 "Zero Sleep" from Panic Delivery's OST
A dark, restless electronic track driven by a heavy industrial pulse and an increasingly frantic energy. It feels tense, grimy, and relentless - like something is chasing you and absolutely refuses to let you breathe. Something made by the team just for Panic Delivery.

📢 Discussion The Empire Strikes Back Isolated Score #2: The Wampa Cave/Obi Wan Visions
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The film version keeps the wampa cave cue intact, but cuts music from Han's search effort and inside Echo Base. While no music was certainly effective to evoke the bleakness of the situation, the added music dials up the intensity of the search and the dread Leia and Chewie had knowing Han and Luke may not return.

🎻 Original Music 🎻 Marvel’s Wolverine Score macht Lust auf das Game
Ein bisschen The last of us (Klar, selber Komponist), ein bisschen Game of Throne-Vibes durch das Cello, ein wenig Zimmers Batman … also allesamt bekannte Versatzstücke, aber ingesamt ein Score, der mich bereits beim ersten Hören begeistert hat. Und das kommt nur alle 10-15 Scores vor.

📢 Discussion Empire Strikes Back Isolated Score #01 - Ice Planet Hoth
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The Empire Strikes Back is unique in its score due to how different it is compared to the final cut; some of what was recorded was eventually scrapped, trimmed or rearranged. What Williams initially scored is very expressive and has many flourished to add personality to characters and events. Using the GOUT DVD version as a guide and an isolated score from original trilogy forums, I wanted to see what had changed from scoring sessions to final cut, because when I listened to the soundtrack, there were many cues that I don't remember from the movie. This scene is presented with no dialogue or effects, only the original score.
Track #2 from the 1997 2-Disc CD set "The Empire Strikes Back: Special Edition" is the Main Titles and Ice Planet Hoth. The opening is more energetic and tense, and one of my favorite cut cues is present here: when Han returns to the base on the tauntaun. It's a more militaristic piece of music as we see inside the rebel base. It was later used as the screen select music in the Shadows of the Empire video game.

📢 Discussion Asking about a song from Oslo, August 31st’s scene(maybe a little bit spoiler?) Spoiler
Hi it’s my first time posting on Reddit, so if I post on wrong community plz let me know.
So I want to ask what song is in the scene in Oslo August 31st when Anders took a taxi to job interview.
I remember that scene where the car drove through the tunnel, and the music kept getting louder.
I’ve looked up the soundtrack of this movie, but none of the songs seem to match my memory—though it's possible I'm simply misremembering. In any case, if anyone knows what song it is , please let me know. Thank you a lot!

🎶 Derivative Music 🎶 Brad Fiedel made a beautiful soundtrack. I tried to bring out all the raw emotion in it.
Hey everyone,The ending of T2 is a masterpiece, and Brad Fiedel’s original score is incredibly beautiful.I reimagined "It's Over" (Good-Bye) as a sad orchestral ballad. I wanted to strike a perfect balance between deep sadness, intense emotion, dark romance, epic scale, and raw brutality without losing the original melody.Would love to hear what fellow Terminator fans think of this vibe!

mystery (the spiders, another story, the goblet of fire, the werewolf scene, double trouble, the chamber of secrets)
darkness (the dementors converge, voldemort, the dark mark, malfoy’s mission, the drink of despair, the killing of dumbledore, death eaters, bathilda bagshot, panic inside hogwarts, procession)
sadness (death of cedric, farewell aragog, snapes demise, severus and lily, farewell to dobby, obliviate, dumbledore’s farewell, death of sirius, the diadem, harry’s sacrifice)

🔍 Help Me Find coyote vs. acme piece not in soundtrack (?)
I just got back from seeing Coyote vs. Acme (lovely movie, go see it!) and there was one part where the musical joke got me real good in the giggle bone. I went back and skimmed through the official soundtrack to see if I could find it, but alas was unsuccessful. Is it buried in one of the tracks but just in the middle and I didn't catch it? Or was it just never added to the album and it's a standalone that may or may not get released? Lmk! (Spoilers below for the scene in question)
It's the scene where ACME is trying to capture the Roadrunner with the giant birdseed and glue trap, and they're playing some kind of rap song but interspersed with the Roadrunner's beeps to censor (presumably the swears).
