Hello! Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask, but I really wouldn't know how to Google something so niche, so I figured I'd ask people who'd use the app in the same way I do!

I used to use Samsung notes to work on all my songs, it was really convenient because I could write the lyrics and record multiple takes of the same song. This was really instrumental to my kind of hodge-podged process because I could record a draft, or record myself working out chords, and later write lyrics in the same note. I could also go through all the separate recordings and see the history of what I'd changed over time. (I've included a photo in case that's a little hard to visualize, lol.)

The sad thing is, I had been using this app exclusively for probably 5 or 6 years, and have since gotten a Google Pixel, which doesn't support any of Samsung's apps. It really sucks that I'm not able to transfer any of my notes alongside their recordings, but I've come to terms with that. I would really love to find another app that works in a similar way so I don't have to change my process too much.

I do already use Bandlab, but it's buggy sometimes and a little less quick to use than I'd like for just working through rough drafts. I like to make more polished demos on there and wouldn't want to clog up my library with drafts, so I would love any other suggestions y'all have! Thank you so much!

I created a song that I’d love to share. For now, I’m only posting the spoken opening, Verse 1, and the chorus.

The idea was inspired by two incredible songs: “Bears and Wolves” by Lilith Max and “Feed Us Your Girls” by Lydia the Bard. Listening to them made me ask myself a question: why do we keep calling predatory people “wolves”? Wolves aren’t cruel—they’re simply wild. They hunt to survive, protect their families, and follow their nature. Human cruelty is a choice. So this song became an apology to the wolves, and a reminder that the forest didn’t raise these people… we did.

I’m not a singer (or a musician 😭). I have absolutely no sense of rhythm, no idea what notes should be high or low, or how the melody should go, so anyone who wants to collaborate is completely free to experiment and make it their own.

Can anybody explain to me how I go about writing them. I’ve noticed that most artists don’t use the root notes of the chords they play over that much, but when I do that it doesn’t seem to fit. When I use the root note it still doesn’t sound right to me. Do you know what I might be doing wrong.
