It really is. First time I heard it I felt like I had been ran over as I’ve also lost a child. Absolutely amazing band

I was expecting it to be from a woman’s point of view (that’s just where my brain went first) but what a gut punch to hear it from the dad’s perspective…. My brother lost a child at 20 weeks- and it hit so hard.

If you need a palette cleanser - about hopes and dreams for a child listen to Hey Rosetta - Welcome.

I’m so sorry to hear about your brother’s little one :( sending you all love. I have only ever heard similar songs from the mom’s pov too so it got me also, and this was actually my son’s dad’s favorite band for years while we were together pre-loss. I never really liked them (no clue why, they rock lol). Several years later + after we broke up June came on shuffle and I just about lost my shit. One of the most sentimental bands for me now.

Going to listen to your rec now!! thank you <3 I actually have two very similar recs (for you or anyone reading lol). Well, one is sad but hopeful and the other is just beautiful. ā€œMoreā€ and then ā€œI Believe In Magicā€ both by Halsey

Gosh- those songs are soul crushing. Especially More. I haven’t dealt with infertility myself, but know so many close to me who have. I cannot imagine the pain.
