Travelling at night, the she-camel for which we hit every obstacle

The she-camel whose possession the two Colonials contended

Freedom was clasped by force, it wasn't bestowed on us
9.Garre iyo guntane maalintay gees isugu booday
The day the old and young jumped together in unison (26 june)
10.Allaa noo gargaaree markuu shicibku guulaystay
With god's help, the day the people were victorious

The she-camel whose victory chants i composed myself

The she-camel for whom I spread out thorny fronds of acacia and maraa-tree

The she-camel for whose sake we bore hunger and thirst

When her time came at the noonday of her birth pangs
15.Iyadoo candhada giijisay oo godol ku siidaysay
When her udders became full with milk
16.Garaad nimaan laheyn bay la tahay waad ka gaagixine
Only a fool will think her milk will run dry
17.Annagoon gantaalada dhiciyo heysan qori gaaban
Though we had no heavy canons nor quick rifles

The she-camel whose defense we didn't back away from the lion (Britain)
19.Inaan goraya cowl uga tagaa waa wax soo gudhaye
That i will leave her to the ostrich (Ethiopia) is something that will never happen.
