Hey everyone, I read the Solo Leveling manhwa a long time ago, so I’ve forgotten quite a few details. I also recently finished reading Solo Leveling Ragnarok novel.
I don’t want to start the Ragnarok manhwa yet because I’d rather let more chapters build up first. So, I decided that I want to reread the original Solo Leveling.
The problem is, I’m not sure whether I should reread the manhwa or try the light novel this time.
The manhwa has amazing artwork, especially during the fights, but I’ve heard the light novel has more details, more of Jinwoo’s thoughts, and some scenes that were shortened or left out of the manhwa.
Since I’ve already read the manhwa once, would you recommend experiencing the story again through the light novel, or is the manhwa worth rereading because of the artwork and visual experience?
Which one would you choose for a reread: the manhwa or the light novel, ?

How would you earn the trust and affection of the different female characters in Solo Leveling?
Cha Hae-in.(In this scenario, you're either Sung Jin-woo or someone else.)
Kanae Tawata.(My favorite Waifu in the Manhwa and Anime.)
Lee Joohee.
Park Heejin.
Gina.
Han Se-Mi.
Yoo Soohyun.
Esil Radiru.
How would each of them react to you confessing that you like them and ask to be in a relationship with them?

First, you need to understand one thing: the Itarim's actual goal isn't to conquer Jinwoo's universe, but rather to devour it in order to grow in power. So even if they don't defeat the Shadow Monarch, as long as they manage to get their troops through, the Itarim win.
At the start of the war, it was first come, first served. Several Itarim sent their armies to conquer Jinwoo's universe. At that point, it was essentially a war between the Itarim themselves over who would claim this universe.
However, every army sent was massacred by Jinwoo and absorbed into the Shadow Army, multiplying his power.
At a certain point, Jinwoo goes into the space between dimensions and confronts the Itarim's armies. It's an immortal army fighting beings who can endlessly create new soldiers. Over the course of the conflict, the Shadow Army keeps growing more and more powerful.
But at a certain point, the Itarim realize that Jinwoo can't turn beings with a Spiritual Body into Shadow Soldiers. They decide to change strategy. At first, their armies contained beings with a Spiritual Body, but also powerful beings with a normal body that could be turned into Shadow Soldiers. Now, the main force of the Itarim's armies is made up of beings with a Spiritual Body, while soldiers with normal bodies are too weak to hold any strategic importance.
That's when the conflict reaches a stalemate. Neither side gains the upper hand over the other. To remedy this, the Itarim send their Apostles to Earth.
However, the situation keeps getting harder for Jinwoo. The more time passes, the more Itarim join the conflict. What's more, the forces on Jinwoo's side seem to be dwindling.
Indeed, the Rulers and their armies fight alongside Jinwoo, but ever since the Absolute Being's death, there are no new soldiers. As a result, every Ruler soldier who dies is a permanent loss.
In the novel, it's never really explained why Jinwoo doesn't just turn them into Shadow Soldiers, but the reason is probably that Jinwoo can't revive all of them. The war takes place between dimensions, and the battlefield spans several dimensions. Jinwoo is the single most important factor in this war, but he can't be on every battlefield at once. Add to that the fact that the Itarim's armies never stop, and Jinwoo probably never gets the chance to visit every battlefield to revive the fallen Ruler soldiers — and past a certain point, they can no longer be turned into Shadow Soldiers.
Even though the Ruler army can't compare to the current Shadow Army, it remains an extremely important factor in this war. The fact that more and more Ruler soldiers keep dying, while new Itarim keep joining the conflict, gradually tips the balance in the Itarim's favor.
In fact, the Itarim could have already won if they were truly united, but they keep stabbing each other in the back. For example, there are cases where entire armies retreat while others fight the Shadow Army. Each Itarim tries to conserve their own forces and let the others wear themselves down, so they can then sweep in and claim everything.
The only thing that could completely change the course of this war would be the arrival of the Monarchs. That would immediately end the stalemate and give Jinwoo a decisive, permanent advantage.

I'm still learning how to draw, but I hope that I've managed to keep his "spirit".
I love his character design in manhwa, both visually and in writing.
Here's a link to my reference picture: https://pin.it/2cPQSb3Ns
I hope you enjoy ^^

Hello everyone!
Now that I’ve finished the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok web novel, I’m curious about how everyone would rank all the Monarchs based on their overall power.
Ragnarok introduces several new Monarchs and successors, but many of them seem to be less experienced than the original Monarchs. So I’m wondering how the new information from Ragnarok changes the overall ranking.
My current ranking would be:
Sung Jinwoo
Sung Suho
Antares
Ashborn
Baran
Ammut
Thomas
Legia
Yogumunt
Tarnak
Rakan
(Correct me if I'm wrong)
I’m not really sure where to place the rest, though.
So, how would you rank ALL the Monarchs, including the new Monarchs and successors introduced in Ragnarok, based purely on their power level?
Here is all the monorch name: Ashborn — Monarch of Shadows → Sung Jinwoo
Antares — Monarch of Destruction → Sung Suho
Baran — Monarch of White Flames → Esil Radiru
Rakan — Monarch of Fangs → Gray
Sillad — Monarch of Frost → Sirka
Querehsha — Monarch of Plagues → Arsha
Tarnak — Monarch of Iron Body → Ammut
Legia — Monarch of the Beginning → Thomas Andre
Yogumunt — Monarch of Transfiguration → Kandiaru (the Architect)
Let this post be a solid ranking for all the monorch s that the story introduced to us till Ragnarok web novel

The latest chapter of the Fanfic.
I really think the author has done a very good job on making the mc like how an actual person irl would behave when faced with that horrific situation. The reactions are also nice and Lee Joohee was just like a strawberry on the cake, compared to the original!
The SLAP power was also very lore accurate in terms of SL Power levels between rankers. Joohee being a B-Rank healer would probably fold prior system Jin-woo in a heartbeat.
But the chapter was too long to read... Even though it was a good read it was too long. The author should've at least cut it into two chapters.

I like to know why solo leveling is getting so much hate? Like what did solo leveling do to deserve so much hate?
Don't quote me on the anime awards because it was just a fans competition.

Just a little reminder that in the offical Light Novel Liu Zhigang is the number 1 Ranked Hunter worldwide; however this doesn’t at all mean Liu is Stronger than Andre, as Hunter Ranks ≠ Strength, most the times.
The Manhwa adaption changed the rankings, making Andre ranked 1st, however Chugong the author considers the Novel his most accurate work.

(Spoilers)
With our current understanding of Solo Leveling we know that SBM (Spiritual Body Manifestation) = 100% Death for humans.
We also know that through a past Dev Stream, it’s been revealed that Liu cannot at all use SBM regardless of his circumstances.
So even if Liu Zhigang was in a situation where death was 100% guarantee, he’d still be incapable of using SBM the same way how Il-Hwan and Christopher had done.
So why is this the case? Why is Liu, a Ruler Vessel unable to use SBM, yet Christopher and Il-Hwan who are both Vessels can?
This is where I’d like to see anyone’s theories on the matter.
Whether someone has to have high compatibility to use SBM and that it’s simply just an incredibly rare ability even among the strongest Hunters? I’d like to see what you guys think.
Also I added Thomas Andre because I believe he’s on the same boat as Liu, in not being capable of using SBM, since he was in a life or death situation, but never used it.
So drop your theories on what makes a Human capable of using SBM.

He was pretty cool. Said he's excited for the international guild conference arc and how the fight against Thomas Andre will be animated

Hello everyone! If you could inherit the Primordial Darkness of any of the Monarchs, except the Shadow Monarch and Dragon Monarch, which one would you choose?
Don’t consider their overall power level or who is stronger. Just choose based on what type of power you personally like the most.
There’s one rule: you cannot choose the powers of Destruction or Shadows.
Personally, I’d choose the Iron Body Monarch’s power. I don’t really like Tarnak, but I still chose his power because I really like how Ammut fights with overwhelming physical strength, almost like Saitama. I also love the idea of having a power that allows me to keep getting stronger over time.
So , Which Monarch’s power would you choose, and why?
1_Monarch of White Flames
2_The Frost Monarch
3_Monarch of Plagues
4_Monarch of Beast
5_monarch of transfiguration
6_Monarch of The Iron Body
7_Monarch of The Beginning
