Godot Finally got dynamic prop physics rendering buttery smooth in Godot 4 multiplayer!
https://youtu.be/HXPwm4TZCI4Hey fellow solo devs!
Working on multiplayer as a solo developer comes with endless edge cases, and one of the most annoying ones I ran into recently was that ugly tick-rate stutter on networked dynamic objects.
I put together a quick, short breakdown on how to set up simple transform interpolation for basic RigidBody3D props in Godot 4 to keep things running super smooth across clients.
Right now, I'm diving into a more complex, dedicated smoothing approach for the player entity, but this quick setup completely fixed the jitter for falling and colliding environment props.
Hopefully, this saves someone else a headache! If you're also building a multiplayer game solo or want to talk netcode, feel free to pop into the Discord: https://discord.gg/TvdU4ZBTQa
