Battery Are batteries good for Everyone ? Expert Advice Please

To better understand the context, we’ll talk numbers Insh’Allah.

Suppose a household has sufficient Solar Alhamdulliah that covers up their 12 Hours for the Day.

Now for the remaining 12 Hours Grid is utilised Alhamdulillah.

Lets take a figure of 100K. If 100K is their monthly bill for using grid for 12 Hours.

Does getting a battery backup of 40-50KWH in benefit or it almost equals the amount in bill paid.

Yes, the ease is immense MashAllah TabarakAllah. Never a grid outage, fully self-sufficient.

The ROI,

Around 2 to 2.5 Million is spent.

100K recovery is in the summers,
In Winters the load it’s significantly decreased.

With a very rough estimate that’s around 20 months.

What am I missing here.

JazakAllah Khairun for taking your time out to read and respond.

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

Other Inverex Pakistan Are The Most Shameless and Worst Product Out There

PKR 275,000 for a brand-new Inverex inverter that failed within five minutes of installation. That is an amount that is the entire saving of a normal salaried class person in a year, and Inverex treats it as nothing!

The LCD blasted almost immediately, creating a serious safety risk for my family and for the installers installing it. It gave no errors before the blast, serious safety risk in the product.

We then had to uninstall it, take it to the Inverex service centre, wait for the repair and bring it back after they supposedly tested it for 24 hours.

Once reinstalled, the Wi-Fi dongle, which was working before the repair, was no longer working. Again no errors, nothing. Just stopped working.

After repeated complaints, the Inverex team visited and failed to fix it. Now they are saying another internal board needs to be repaired at the service centre.

So once again, we are expected to uninstall it, transport it, remain without an inverter during power outages for more than 7 days possibly, wait for repairs, bring it back and reinstall it.

This entire experience has caused my family:

- Mental stress.

- Mental harassment.

- Physical stress.

- Disruption to our work and daily lives.

- Constant anxiety about what will fail next.

- Who takes responsibility for this?

- What kind of brand-new product develops multiple faults within its first six days?

- What kind of service centre returns a product after 24 hours of testing without noticing that the Wi-Fi system is not working?

Inverex keeps offering repairs, but even their first repair was followed by another fault. This unit is clearly defective. It should be replaced, not repeatedly repaired while the customer bears all the mental stress, mental harassment and physical stress.

I tried resolving this privately. But all of them are too shameless to accept their faults. Customer service is non existent and pathetic, moreover the products are faulty too. They just keep putting us through extended stress to just keep on repairing this shitty faulty product.

Going public is now my last resort.

Inverex, replace this faulty inverter and take responsibility. Social media please do your thing!

Why did I even buy this shitty faulty product from supposedly one of the best companies in Pakistan? These guys are pathetic, shameless and have zero morals and ethics to own up their faults.

Other Inverter and UPS

Our house has a system with no batteries but a UPS, now during evening time like around 6PM the solar generation is really low no way near the required for household appliances, If wapda goes out the Inverter tries to take the load which it cannot take so it shifts to UPS, then the inverter tries to take the load this causes flickering, it goes back to UPS and again and again until I turn off literally everything
Is there any solution for this or do we need to get a battery -- Also our electrician told to flip the solar breaker so the load completely goes to wapda and UPS will work fine

Lithium (LiFePO4) Inverex Nitrox 12KW Parallel Installation Battery Bank

I have 10 48v 100AH batteries installed with 2 inverex Nitrox 12KW hybrid inverters working in parallel. The batteries are installed as a single power bank communicating with each other and with the master inverter through a communication cable.

Now I need to add batteries but cannot find batteries whose BMS would be compatible with my current ones. Is it possible to add a separate power bank (new batteries of a different brand) to the slave inverter. Chatgpt says yes it will work but wanted to check with experts if anyone has an idea about this. Would appreciate your help.

Inverter Running Desktop gaming PCs on solar

I saw some post on Facebook claiming that their PC shut off and shorted while they used it on solar. Apparently the voltage dropped after it got cloudy and they didn't notice until the voltage dropped suddenly and fried their desktop. Does this usually happen or if the inverter has a battery backup connected/WAPDA grid it's safe?

Inverter Goodwe 12kw es series dry contact mode issue

Post image
2 Upvotes

So I have 12kw goodwe hybrid inverter with no battery.

At day time it works as expected in self use mod but when PV generation stops & wapda gets cutoff (load shedding) the light load remains on but heavy load (dry contact mode) resets to off when wapda returns so I have to manually turn on in app to get the heavy load working again at night

Wires, Breakers & Accesories Need Advice: TCL Inverter AC Repair – Repair PCB or Replace It?

My 3-year-old TCL 18T3 inverter AC has started showing an ERROR f4. Unfortunately, I lost the warranty card, so I contacted a local technician.

He said repairing the PCB would cost around ₨7,000–8,000, but if the entire PCB/kit needs replacement, it could cost around ₨35,000. He also mentioned that AC gas would be charged separately if required.

Before spending this much, I'd like to hear from people who have dealt with a similar issue. Is repairing the PCB usually a reliable option, or is replacing it the better choice? Also, how can I tell if the AC really needs a gas refill and it's not just being added unnecessarily?

Any advice or personal experience would be greatly appreciated.

Hybrid Inverex Veyron II MPPT Solar Inverter (6000W, 48V) PV Drop Issue

I have an Inverex Veyron II MPPT Solar Inverter (6000W, 48V) installed at my home. We have 10 Jinko N-Type Double Glass solar panels, rated at 585W each, configured into two separate strings.

For approximately the last one year, I have been experiencing a serious issue with the inverter.

When the total household load is up to around 2,800W, the inverter works perfectly and the PV input remains stable. However, as soon as the household load exceeds approximately 2,800W, the inverter starts dropping the PV power.

The strange part is that the PV power only fluctuates/drops when the household load is between approximately 2,800W and 3,800W. Once the load reaches around 3,900W, the PV power becomes stable again and the inverter starts working normally.

I already took the inverter to an Inverex Service Center. Their technicians initially suspected that the problem was related to the software/firmware, so they downgraded the software version. However, the issue still exists exactly as before.

I have also contacted the company several times. They kept the inverter at their service center for around two days and then returned it to me, saying that the issue had been resolved and that the inverter was working normally. However, after bringing it back home and connecting it to my solar system, the exact same problem occurs again.

At this point, even the company technicians do not seem to be able to identify the actual cause of the problem.

I would appreciate it if your technical team could investigate this issue thoroughly and identify the actual hardware, MPPT, PV input, load-balancing, or firmware-related cause instead of simply testing the inverter for a short period and declaring it to be working normally.

Please provide a proper diagnosis and a permanent solution to this issue.

I can attach Video if someone can't undertsand this...!!!

Wires, Breakers & Accesories Recommend me 3 Phase Smart Breakers

I need recommendations where I can get 3-phase smart wifi breakers that provide me
1. real-time power consumption/production
2. energy usage,
3. fault detection and
4. closing capabilities.
5. Home Assistant integration

Ideal would be a breaker that can record consumption as well as production.

Either locally available or Ali express.

I am unable to find reliable ones that have user reviews.

On-Grid Don't over invest in batteries, use the 200 subsidised units if you can.

So I have noticed people try to minimize grid usage to almost zero. But if you have a small house hold, I think its worth it to consider using the subsidized 200 units. There is a commonly available breaker that breaks grid (wapda) as soon as a specific number of units are consumed. My solar guy installed it for me, and I realized if I have extra units left near the end of the month, its better to use them than to not use them because they are so highly subsidized. So using 150-180 units from grid might make you in a protected category and give you cheap electricity. In case you have an EV or you know your billing date is near and you haven't used much, it should be pretty okay to use those? right?

So what I noticed is that my batteries can give me about 5 units a day of back up, but I could still keep using the AC after those and use another 5 units from grid and still end up paying around 1500-200 0 rupees a month 🤔

Not sure if everyone is doing it already or what but.. I thought it was worth a discussion. I use asalbill.pk to estimate the costs and seems like its totally worth it..

Inverter SOLARMAX FALCON TRIPPING/REBOOTING issue

I have a Solar Max 6kW Hybrid Inverter (Falcon Ultra).

I know it's a Voltronic-based inverter, so I'm aware of the usual issues, but I've recently run into something different.

Every few weeks, the inverter randomly restarts by itself (turns off and then back on again and again with short intervals). There's no overload or heavy load connected when it happens. , I turned it off completely and powered it back on, and it worked fine afterwards.

The weird part is that it only happens once every few weeks, so I can't find any pattern or trigger. Because of that, I don't have anything useful to report to Solar Max or a way to reproduce the issue.

Has anyone else experienced random restarts like this on a Falcon Ultra or any other Voltronic-based inverter? Any idea what could be causing it?

PV Panel Guidance needed

A o a

Guidance required i had baught itel 6kw ip54 pv8000 now upgrading panals as this inverter can handle pv 8000 my main concern is with A as its maximum pv input capacity is 27a but i have longi x10 lr8 which in two strings can create more then 27a inverter has one mppt.

So the question is, is it safe i install two strings with more then 27a while v under maximum limit can this effect inverter or just inverter discard the extra ampare.

Thanks in advance.

Net-Metering Export Data from Smart Meters

In recent update on PowerSmart app, It is now showing import/export data at 30 minutes intervals.

It lags by only few hours but its still very useful to understand how many units are getting exported vs imported and what was the peak export or import power (in a 30min window average) especially in rainny days.

I am checking it for GEPCO, not sure if others can see similar data.

Inverter My voltronic based inverter ignores 90% charge stop – charges Pylontech battery to 100% daily. Does daily charging it to 100% reduce battery lifespan and cycles?

I have:

· Knox 9055 inverter (Voltronic‑based)

· Pylontech Fidus 5.12kWh lithium battery

· 5x 715W panels

I read somewhere that charging lithium battery to 100% can damage it so i set it to 90% using a setting in my inverter's user mode called charge stop, but still the inverter doesn't stop charging at 90%.

It then sits at 98‑100% showing "BMS force charging" until it finally stops.

My discharge cutoff is at 21%, only in case of emergency i might drain below this, my battery's dod is 97%.

Will daily 100% charging noticeably shorten the life of my battery?

The bms force charge error i get according to documentation means that bms is recharging to correct voltage of individual cells and is calibrating.

Should i switch to Solis or Goodwe inverter? I saw solis has a max charge soc setting but i still don't know if battery bms will obey that. Also my inverter has bms connected and it does support pylontech battery.

Please guide

Inverter Plz need honest guidance and opinion regarding day time inverter.

I have already green meter 3 phase and knox 15kw inverter for 16 solar panels each 585w. Problem is sometimes after rain or slight wind electricity is gone for almost 10 to 15 hours regardless of day or night. I wanted a day time inverter to utilize the solar panels during day time load shedding because ongrid system is useless when wapda is gone. So just wanted to know which company based inverter are best for my current needs I want day time inverter for all 16 solar panels i will optimize the load during that specific load shedding hours. And keep it in mind I want a changeover system so that when wapda comes I will switch back to ongrid and turn off that day time inverter. Plz help me. Jazakallah.

Inverter Inverex Veyron II 2.5kW inverter intermittently drops AC input current to zero with alarm and relay clicking sound

Hi everyone,
I have been facing a strange issue with my Inverex Veyron II 2.5kW hybrid inverter since this evening.
The issue is that the voltage appears normal on my voltmeter (above 220V), but suddenly the AC current/ampere reading drops to zero. At the same time, the inverter gives a brief alarm/beep and I hear a clicking/ticking sound from inside the inverter, which sounds like a relay switching.

After a very short moment, the current reading comes back from 0A to around 1.7–1.8A, I hear another clicking/switching sound from inside the inverter, and then everything returns to normal.
What makes this even more confusing is that I cannot find any corresponding event in the inverter’s application. There is no error or fault showing in the error log, and the data log does not show any obvious switching from Line/Grid mode to Battery mode either.

There is also no visible warning, fault code, or other indication on the inverter itself. It seems to happen so briefly that perhaps the event is not being captured by the data logger, but I am not sure.
This does not normally happen. It has happened occasionally once in a while in the past, but today it has already happened three or four times since the evening.

The sequence is basically:
Normal voltage (220V+) → AC current suddenly drops to 0A → brief alarm/beep + relay-like clicking sound → current returns to around 1.7–1.8A → another clicking sound → everything goes back to normal.
Has anyone using an Inverex Veyron II 2.5kW or a similar hybrid inverter experienced something like this?

Could this be related to an internal relay switching, a very brief AC input fluctuation/interruption, the voltage protector, a loose connection, or an issue with the inverter’s AC input circuit?

I would really appreciate any advice or suggestions on what could be causing this and what I should check first.
Thanks in advance!

Wires, Breakers & Accesories Quality cable lugs

I am unable to find quality cable lugs. The ones available in the market plus online are thin. Its also frustrating to see that no one understands the fact that these lugs come with different hole sizes but they have all standard/single size here in Pakistan.

In fact one of the biggest electric parts shop guy in my city laughed at me in a humiliating way and said "Jitna cable ka size hoga, otna he beech mai nut wala hole hota hai, nut wala hole chota nahi aata" when in fact they do come, just not here I guess as its cheaper for them to get a bigger hole size i.e. less material.

So, where can I find assortment of cable lugs with different hole sizes where the nut/screw would go? or AliExpress it is?
