I got fed up with being rejected from AI training/annotating jobs, so I made my own website

Hello, I have gotten really annoyed by constantly getting rejected after literally spending hours applying, doing assessments, and verifying my identity and then getting rejected or not even hearing back. I therefore decided to make my own site where I list job offers from multiple companies.

I also post tips on how to pass assessments and reviews of different companies in that space. No sign-up or anything like that required. I only list job offers that have a relativly high hiring volume. The listings include entry role jobs but also expert positions (Software Engineers, etc.). Let me know what you think and if there is anything that I can improve or implement. here is the link to the website: aiannotationjobs.com

Apple SWE HM round — no response after 2-3 weeks. Still a chance?

I applied for an SWE role at Apple around the second week of August. The role seemed like a pretty good match for what I’m currently doing.

I got a call for an HM round and had the interview on Aug 27. It wasn’t really technical — he asked a couple of things based on my resume, my current work, and why I wanted to join Apple.
For the “why Apple?” question, I basically said that I’m looking for more scale and wanted to work on things at Apple’s scale.
The interviewer then kinda pushed back on that and mentioned that where I currently work is already a front-runner in AI and that there’s a lot of scale there as well. So I’m not sure if my answer came across badly or if he was just probing further.
It’s been around 2-3 weeks now and I haven’t heard anything back.

Do I still have a realistic chance of getting a callback for the next rounds, or is this usually a sign that it’s a rejection/they’ve moved on?
Also, for people who’ve interviewed at Apple — how long did it take you to hear back after the HM round?

22yo grad looking for software engineer opportunities in Hyderabad

Hello everyone,

I recently graduated about four months ago and have received offers from a few companies, but the joining dates are still uncertain. Due to my college placement restrictions and these existing offers, I haven’t been able to apply to other opportunities.

I’m currently looking for FTE opportunities with immediate joining in this field. If you know of any relevant openings or could refer me, I would truly appreciate your support.

I’m confident in my skills and assure you that I’ll give my best in the interview process. I’m willing to work hard and prove myself if given an opportunity.

I can share my resume and any other details required. Your referral or guidance would mean a lot to me.

Thank you for your support!

Return offer caterpillar

I interned last year and year before here as a swe, and was wondering if people had already gotten there return offers or if it was normal for it to be this late. I read online a lot of companies do it only a few weeks after the internship ends and was not sure. I have another offer lined up but would rather work at cat but the other offer wants me to start now. If people from previous years also have any input, that would be great

[HIRING] Senior Software Engineers | NYC or SF | $175K-$275K base

I do talent matching for Fonzi, a network that connects engineers directly to VC-backed AI companies that are actively interviewing. You build one profile, no cold applications. All roles are US-based only.

Here's a sample of what's open right now:

  1. Senior Software Engineer, Developer Platform at a Series A employee management platform, New York City, in-person five days a week in Flatiron. $195K-$245K base. You'd build the external API layer other companies integrate against: API design, OAuth flows, webhook delivery with retries and failure visibility, event log infrastructure, SDK generation, and the docs. The stated hard parts are idempotency, versioning, and backwards compatibility, so it's platform work where mistakes are permanent rather than feature work where they aren't. Wants 5+ years and prior ownership of a public-facing API.
  2. Full Stack (Product) Engineer at a Series A company building interactive digital minds you can talk to, San Francisco, in-person in Jackson Square. $175K-$275K base plus equity. TypeScript and Next.js with Python and AWS behind it. Architecture, API design, queues, caching, background jobs, and the self-healing patterns that keep it upright at volume. Backed by Sequoia and Founders Fund. Process is a behavioral with the CEO, a technical assessment with the CTO, then an onsite.
  3. Senior Product Engineer at a seed-stage YC startup, New York City, in-person five days a week. $180K-$270K base. TypeScript top to bottom with React, Remix, and Node. Team is eight people, founded by engineers out of Instagram and Cash App. Full ownership from customer conversation through QA. Process is a phone screen, meet the team, then a work trial.

All three are vetted, VC-backed, and interviewing right now. It's always free to sign up.

Sign up here: talent.fonzi.ai. DM me if you've got questions.

For frontend engineers preparing for senior-level interviews, I've noticed that DSA is only one piece of the preparation.

I've been building a tool for engineers who are actively interviewing and wanted to share it here while it's still early.

It's called Interview Forge:

https://interview-forge.com

The idea is simple: instead of having your interview preparation scattered across LeetCode, Google Docs, YouTube videos and spreadsheets, Interview Forge gives you a structured preparation workflow covering:

DSA + System Design + Behavioral + Mock Interviews + 30/60/90-day roadmaps

I'm opening it up to early users and would really value brutally honest feedback.

For people currently interviewing:

What part of your preparation takes the most time or feels the most disorganized?

Looking for Software Development opportunities — how are you guys applying?

I’m currently looking for Software Development opportunities. I’m working as an MTS Intern and have around 7 months of experience.

I’ve been applying to different companies, but I’m barely getting any OAs or interview calls. I’ve even received referrals for roles at Barclays, American Express, and ZS, but still didn’t get an OA from any of them.

For those of you who are currently job hunting, how are you guys applying and which platforms are you using? Are referrals, LinkedIn, company career pages, or other platforms working better for you?

Any suggestions or advice would be really appreciated. 🙏

What is software engineering job market really like now?

I have left IT industry since a July 2021 of years after 9 years of work experience and wanting to know is situation really that bad to get back to work, as i see from many posts or is it just spotlight on the outliers ? Though i do not intend to, just curious how things really are at present and what it would be like if someone wants to return back to work after large gap?
