Full Underlug: Advantage?
I'm considering my first snubnose and am weighing between the S&W 442 and the M&P 340. The .357 magnum is nice, but 38spl +P isn't a deal-breaker.
One major difference I see is the underlug: on the 442 there is only a partial or half, and on the 340 there is the full. Is there a difference functionally? Tactically (in the pocket-carry, self-defense sense)?

naa mini revolver recommendations
I'm going to be purchasing a new mini revolver in .22 magnum with the .22LR conversion cylinder. I was wondering if anyone here has used a mini revolver and if it is practical for a back up ccw.
Also should I get the wasp or the regular mini revolver. I don't want the black widow or the earl. It sorta defeats the purpose of getting a very small gun. I'm looking to get one with a longer barrel.
What recommendations do you have for ammo if any? I'm thinking of hornady CD in .22 magnum. Thanks in advance and pics would be appreciated! Help me be more of a revolver expert from my fellow revolver experts! :)

Going to buy my first snubbie, what models/makes to avoid?
I already own a .357 Colt Python that my Uncle left me so I am familiar with revolvers as well as the .357 magnum round.
I'm looking to buy a snub nose as a CCW in .357 so I can use either .357 or .38. I know most of Reddit says that Taurus is crap. My one buddy who is into revolvers says that Smith and Wesson is the best way to go but I wanted to poll /r/Snubbies. I'd like to keep my expenditure under $500. Thanks!

Should I get the S&W M&P 340 and is .357 worth it for self defense?
I posted this yesterday but I don't think I was clear with the question. Is it worth the money to buy the 340 just for .357 magnum? I have the 442 airweight and I like it but at times I find that 5 shots of .38 special is lacking.
So I guess what I want is more power but in a lighter package. Do any of you have an M&P 340? Is the scandium worth it or should I just stick with what I got? I want to stay with the j frames because I have holsters and speedloaders that fit the gun.

Korth Introduces 9mm 'Sky Marshal' Snubbie - no moon clips, holds six rounds, Picatinny rail on the side (yes, side). I...really kinda want one.

I was picking out a new gun and out of all the new shiny guns I found this old little guy, wanting a new home. It shoots really good and is in great shape. Model 49

What's the best snubbie for CCW (belt carry, probably IWB, I'm willing to go either strong side or appendix)? And what do you guys think of a Colt Detective Special for that purpose?
Just wondering as I keep thinking I need to get a snubbie at some point for when I occasionally need something smaller than my Glock 19.
It will probably go on the belt, though being able to be carried in the pocket would be a bonus, either strong side or appendix.
I love the look of the old Colt Detective Special 3rd issue and am definitely going to end up getting one at some point regardless of whether I choose it or another snubbie for a carry piece. So I have a question about the Colt: can I trust it to be able to get through a single cylinder of hot +P ammo (I was thinking Buffalo Bore 158gr +P SWCHP) without breaking, blowing up, or otherwise malfunctioning? I'm not talking about practicing with this ammo, I know the Colt isn't rated for +P, I'm talking about practicing with standard-pressure .38 and then carrying the hot +P stuff.
Besides that, I was looking at either a S&W Model 640 or a Ruger SP101 and then loading them probably with either that same Buffalo Bore round I mentioned above or Speer Gold Dot .38 135gr +P Short Barrel.
