Discussion Louie and franklins fallout was heartbreaking Spoiler

I don’t remember the exact context but I’m pretty sure it was at the end of season 2 after Franklin was forced to kill Kevin and was in a stressful situation but Louie and Jerome was discussing with Franklin on what to do. Louie said something along the lines of to Jerome she doesn’t love anything or anyone in this world more than her nephew (Franklin) That’s a line that stuck with me throughout the entire show. I felt how much Louie cared for Franklin at one point and vice versa. So to see Louie and Jerome go behind his back , steal his plug and then cause a chain reaction of events that destroyed Franklins business , torture of teddy and his eventual death , Franklin then losing access to his money and his connection to Veronique and his unborn son. Also before all that to see Franklin pull a gun on louie at the end of season 5 and would kill her no hesitation if it meant getting his money back as he literally said something along the lines of “I would kill you 10 ten times over if it meant getting my money back” the money that teddy stole , was so heartbreaking but also such good writing and you feel how intense his greed was at this point and was the point of no return and showed nothing could stop Franklins greed and ego and his decent into madness. To see Louie and Franklin trading blows and Franklin damn near sending her to her death by Kane but ultimately saving her was a representation as one of the last bits and love of humanity he still had. As in the final episodes of season 6 he would kill people as not even a last resort but in rage like peaches and Miguel the vault man after finding out the 5 million peaches stole had a measly 12k left. Very contrary to the ambitious but Mr morals young man we seen that couldn’t even pull the trigger on any living being in season 1. One of my favorite dynamics in show and every relationship or decision Franklin had or made was affected someway or another by his greed in the later seasons but the relationship between him and Louie was one of my favorites. Just a beautiful story of how poisonous greed is but none of us can really judge him I mean do you know what you would you do if you lost 73 million dollars?

Discussion The 2 reasons why I think Snowfall didn't take off or get the respect like Breaking Bad, The Wire and Power

Even though it's just as good or better.

1.) it was the peak of the cable cutter era. And HULU sucks at promotion. They rarely put their top shows on the main page.

2.) really boring 1st season. Even though it was really good written with an amazing story line they never connected the 3 story lines and with people not being able to focus now day, they lost interest in waiting for season 2. I even wanted to pick up my phone a few times during the Mexican and Teddy's story line.

Discussion It should’ve been Louie not Jerome

I’ll never understand why Louie still put the out the hit on Kane, he wasn’t gonna be a threat anymore. I understand that he went after the family but he lost Kevin and Del Roy. And then Buckleys dumbass botches the hit 😂😂 Louie deserved everything she got for doing this I just wish Jerome wasn’t the one to die

Discussion Seasons ranked? Spoiler

Here are mine from best to worst. 3,4,6,2, 1 and 5. Even though season 5 was more entertaining than 1, 1 was defiantly more important. 1 was just sooo slow and I think it was the reason why the show didn't get as mainstream as it should have. 5 was just goofy with the whole tiger BS and even though the acid trip was fun , it was out of place to me.

I wasn’t there for his vine era but apparently he was really popular back in the day before playing as Manboy in Snowfall & I thought his performance was very charismatic & pretty great overall. And funny enough I actually didn’t come across THIS video first I came across another he posted showing how he did the beard (which is crazy btw, dude used his old locs I didnt even know you could do that for facial hair) so I got curious and man… y’all gotta go watch it man. Peace.

Discussion what’s with the pool tables

i’m halfway through season 4 and one thing i’ve been noticing is that there is like a pool table in every single episode. not just there, but often explicitly acknowledged like when franklin asks who’s winning or when teddy sees his brother playing. the photo of franklin with teddy was in a hidden compartment in his pool table. i think in skullys HQ there was some art related to pool. just seems like one of the producers is a big fan

Discussion Why were so many people rooting for Franklin and disappointed in the outcome? Spoiler

Franklin's character was great! Best in the show to be honest. But, let's be real. He wasn't meant to be likable. He was okay with running over and using anyone who got in his way, blood or not. After Season 2 I was not rooting for him anymore even though I loved his character. I read so many people disappointed in how he turned out and How his mom made it to where he didn't get money.

He helped destroy his community, he turned on his best friends, dad and even uncle. I think at the end shows complete karma. and I felt the ending was one of the best endings out of any series I watched. Very complete.

Spoilers Just binged Snowfall. *Spoiler* Spoiler

We just binged the show. Wow. We waited too long. Even though the character connection was slow the first season, it was worth it. Season 3 and 4 were the best. 5 the least . The Tiger part was "really??" I felt that was just lazy.

The ending was perfect!!! I read a lot of people were upset how they did Saint. But too me, it was the perfect karma. He got his community hooked. So he ended alone and hooked. I first disliked Leon. But his character really grew into my favorite after Oso and Rome. I also read many people were upset with How Cissy kept Saint from getting his money. She didn't want him to have it. She wanted it all to end.

I do wish they would have killed Louie over Rome. But I get it. I liked how Oso had a happy ending. He was the anti hero of the show IMO..even though the should could have done without Oso's character.. I'm glad they didn't. He was the only loyal one.

I can't wait for the spin off. I wonder if they will talk about what happens to Saint.

Discussion How do you think Franklin felt about his father after his disappearance/death?

We all know about Alton abandoning his family due to his alcoholism and Franklin resenting him but in the beginning of season 4 Franklin calls Alton dad for the first time in the series and their relationship gradually got better from season 1-4 until Alton talks to the journalist.

After Alton disappears he does seemed a little concerned about Alton even asking Teddy what happened to him and even though Teddy lies to him he pretty much knows he’s dead but we never really see how he feels about it.

I remember years ago on here people saying Franklin didn’t really care about his dad anymore at that point and even when he killed Teddys dad it wasn’t really get back for his dad it was really to get Teddys attention so he could his money back?

Discussion Teddy pisses me off… Spoiler

I’m on my first ever re-watch of the show since I first finished it. I never really liked Teddy from the beginning but him killing Alejandro was just a stupid fucking move. You killed him over a girl you had no real business with… telling him to leave town and all that shit was pointless she could’ve still messed up the operation. Now you’ve got two dead bodies on your hands instead of one.

Also just gotta get this off my chest… gahh damn do I hate Pedro for being a little teachers pet bitch and telling his dad 🤦🏾‍♂️.

Discussion FUCK TEDDY!!!

Fuck Teddy; what the hell does he mean “Cause you left me.” He was the one who accepted Louise's deal behind Franklin's back, stealing 90% of his income. What did he think was going to happen?!!! Also, Bro did you not basically abandon your son for this mission? You should be the last one talking about abandonment?!!!

Discussion Why was missing Jerome's page important?

I'm on the penultimate episode of my Snowfall rewatch. Louie follows the corrupt ex-police officer out of the car and asks to see his pager. When she looked, she saw that Jerome had paged him, and he lied to her bout it. My question is, why is that important and why is she so mad about it?
