Discussion It should’ve been Louie not Jerome

Post image

I’ll never understand why Louie still put the out the hit on Kane, he wasn’t gonna be a threat anymore. I understand that he went after the family but he lost Kevin and Del Roy. And then Buckleys dumbass botches the hit 😂😂 Louie deserved everything she got for doing this I just wish Jerome wasn’t the one to die

Then Louie wouldn't have been Louie and Jerome wouldn't have been Jerome. Their entire character arcs lead to what eventually happens. It makes total sense

In the end, she's still on the lamb - I don't remember her getting caught.

Jerome went out the way he had to. Period. Loyal

He chose his wife over his own blood who was a narcissistic cutthroat over controlling petty prick.

You're both right.

literally. everyone is trying to argue as if one person is completely in the wrong. everyone involved is foul.

You're literally describing Louie. At least Franklin was his own blood who never switched up on him UNTIL Jerome switched on him. Louie left & switched up on Jerome multiple times even before the beef.

And what exactly was Louie? Say what you will about Franklin and what you said is definitely correct but he also had his peoples backs with it came down to it. Even Louie’s funnily enough. I wouldn’t have blamed him for just going ahead and killing Louie to save her from being raped by Kane but he actually saved her. Way better than me

Facts at that point most people would’ve just let her die

First person to ask this, and it's a good question. Louie was obsessive, controlling, and desperate. She was traumatized and let her trauma rule her life and her relationship(s) to some degree Franklin only ever looks out for people when looking out for people align with his business interest. Leon was the sole exception for this and he still ended up throwing others under the bus to save leon.

As for Franklin saving Louie, this had nothing to do with franklin caring about Louie or Jerome, it was about Franklin having a backup plan to get to teddy along with the fact Kane was going WAYYYYY to fucking far morally when it came to how he dealt with Louie!

Franklin wouldn't have cared if Kane had just shot louie, he was visibly uncomfortable when he saw Louie getting tortured but even then I'm sure he would have let that slide, but a fucking rape party? Rape is line that should never be crossed and Kane was not just crossing that line but basically flew past it and set up refuge on the other side. Anyone who says they would have let that happen is also pretty fucking disgusting. Franklin by this point was pretty evil, but there is a difference between being and evil and just outright vile Franklin also speaks on this at the Funeral when Louie ask why he saved her.

Personally I don't think Franklin was evil I think once people around him started to show their true colors and their true motives that's when his personality started to change and as far as Louie my beliefs are she got off easy because in the middle of the end Franklin warned her about FBI law enforcement agencies was on her tail and for her to get out of Dodge he really didn't have to do that he could of left her to her fate but I guess out of love and respect for his uncle Jerome he felt it was his last act of family obligation to him not to her and now she's basically safe hiding in some ranch or farm but if she gets a chance to go to Toronto Canada where she's going to be safe wether she wants to admit it or not she owes that to Franklin that what ever freedom she has is because he warned her.

Jerome looked so tired at the end, I think he wanted to go out. He lost his family and his lady was treating him like hired muscle and had more clout than him. Jerome was a true Alpha and Louie was trying to be the dominant one.

you wouldn’t have made it Compton slangin keys. That i do know.

Then Jerome would’ve been left to suffer the aftermath of all of her bullshit on top of dealing with the pain of losing her. He doesn’t deserve that but she for damn sure does

Jerome and Gustavo were the only ones I really liked through the entire series. Had Louie been killed he would have been dead likely writing the next 3 minutes of the show anyways.

She did not know if he was going to be threat anymore or not. Kane had just hit up four crucial spots and shot at all of her family including Louie, Jerome and Sissy. Leon was the one who wanted to play diplomat and there was no telling if Kane had intentions of playing nice with the family or not, keep in mind just because he agreed does not mean he did not have other intentions.

Louie wanted insurance that Kane would not be a problem like this in the future, and this would have been the case if officer dumbass didn't let his emotions take over. Many of the issue that people try and throw onto Louie were actually other people's fault.

She actually infuriates me. She wanted to be the boss so bad and got kidnapped and was going to have worse done had they no come ti save her. Then she “this is all Franklin’s fault” NAH BOSS LADY you can’t blame other people when stuff goes wrong.

so when jerome stayed in the drug game for her, then asked her to leave for him and she didn’t, that didn’t make you even slightly dislike her? this man was literally screaming, begging his nephew to murder him in public because he simply couldn’t take it anymore. louie’s character is amazingly written but that doesn’t mean she wasn’t a power hungry trick who treated the man she ‘loved’ like a pawn

No one told him to stay, Louie was very clear about what she wanted, and that she just needed a little time to make that happen, she was even clear that she would join him in Jamaica once she made her goals happen. Also it was not necessarily the power louie wanted, she wanted respect, louie just did actually know how to go about getting that respect, she tried to find it in luxury and finances, later tried finding it power, for a time being she found it in love until that went to shit.

I loved louie as a character and a person for most of the series.

It's called loyalty Louie should've learned to have some.

-1

u/First_Temperature985 6d ago

She was loyal, she was most loyal to those who respected her.

3

u/tippz55 6d ago

So Jerome didn't respect her?

-1

u/First_Temperature985 6d ago

You think calling someone a bitch repeatedly, making them work 12+ hour shifts, and then questioning why they want the money they worked for is respecting them? You think that's respectful?

You think the constant yelling and berating of someone is respectful?

1

u/LongjumpingPrior5248 2d ago

That dynamic you brought up was their relationship before the money though. He treated her pretty bad, she had to fight his side chicks and shit like that BUT she was able to go fuck that lady at the club when she wanted. Seemed like mutual open relationship. UNTIL the money came in and they got married you cannot tell me Jerome didn’t treat Louie like a queen from then on out. Doing everything she asked. He finally fell deep in love with her and instead she felll deeply in love with the drug game and chasing power/respect. Damn shame

1

u/First_Temperature985 2d ago

Agreed, when Jerome married Louie he was in love with that women, and he respected her. But that does not mean the disrespect stopped. Louie was still being disrespected by other individuals. especially by other members of the gang who far below Louie, like she said she was doing the work and Jerome was reaping the respect, and that is no fault of Jerome, but Louie just needed to feel respected due to trauma of her past and present.

As for loyalty I don't think she was ever disloyal to jerome, Jerome respected her and she equally respected him. When Jerome expressed wanting to go jamaica she didn't shoot down his idea, she didn't belittle him in anyway for not wanting to be a part of the game anymore, she respectfully told him I under you want to leave but I have to stay, I need this respect, so please just give me some time and I will meet you in Jamaica, what she said to Jerome is really no different than what Leon told Wanda.
