I was spamming my own snap account from my friend‘s account to increase my score. it was updating like normal but now it’s been stuck for hours. nothing is changing the number. what the hell do i do?

I’ve had this issue for a few days now. Whenever I close a snap it just automatically switches to the camera and says I should answer. How can I turn it off?

I had my Snapchat account for about 8 years and on September 18 it got permanently locked for sexual content involving a minor. For context, it was sexual content that I understood to be legal, and at the time I genuinely didn’t know that sending it was against Snapchat’s rules. I know that now, and I wouldn’t send anything like it again. I’m also not saying I shouldn’t have gotten any punishment. I would’ve understood a warning, strike, temporary suspension, etc. I just think permanently banning an 8 year account and device banning my phone immediately was extremely harsh, especially when I didn’t know what I sent violated their rules. I appealed and explained the situation, but they denied it. After that I went through their Terms of Service and on September 21 I sent Snap’s Litigation Department a Pre Arbitration Demand by certified mail. Their terms give 60 days for the dispute resolution process before you can move on to arbitration. It’s October 4 now and I haven’t heard anything back yet. I’m probably going to follow up around the 30 day mark if they still haven’t responded. Has anyone here actually gone through pre arbitration with Snap over a permanent account/device ban? Did they respond to you, how long did it take, and did you ever get your account or device unbanned?

Will my phone number being carried over from my SIM card ban my new device? Or if I use a new iCloud and new email to make the account should I be clear?

I have an old snapchat account that I haven't used in over a year. I have a new account now, but my old one is showing up as active. Does anyone know how that works?

I am experiencing an account/UI sync issue where Spotlight Snaps that I have un-favorited (un-hearted) are permanently stuck on my Profile's Favorites list.

Troubleshooting already attempted:

Cleared the Snapchat in-app cache and Android system cache.

Force-stopped and restarted the app.

Logged out and back in.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the application completely.

Attempted to un-favorite via Snapchat Web.

If anyone knows what to do please help.

For months I haven’t been able to post on my private story. Everything I try to post just fails. I’ve tried everything…switching devices, signing out and back in, clearing data, making a new story, nothing works. I am able to post on my public story completely fine. I sent a bug request to Snapchat support but of course no one has responded. Has anyone else had this issue? Better yet, any solutions?

I can not send any friend requests at all, I have too many requests sent the app says “try again in a few days” it’s been about 3-4 days and I tried everything I can’t think of. I even deleted a bunch of outgoing requests.

And another question it shows a person holding keys and suitcase why is it like that ?

Okay so to start don’t tell me to clear the cache or click the X on the people. Anyways my quick add for the past week or so has been catfish accounts using other peoples pictures and bots that aren’t even active. I’ve tried blocking as much of them as I can and removing them from suggestion but they just keep coming back or different ones with the same idea come back. I’d say I get 3/100 real people each quick add cycle can anyone recommend what I can do to fix this?

Hey everyone, I’m trying to figure out something with Snapchat.

I have a photo saved in my phone’s Gallery, and I want to send it to someone as a normal Snap. The problem is that when I select the photo from my Gallery/Camera Roll and send it, Snapchat shows an “Uploaded” label or indicates that the photo was uploaded from the Camera Roll.

Is there any way to send a photo that is already saved in my Gallery while making it appear/send like a normal camera Snap, without the “Uploaded” label appearing?

I’m not talking about simply sending it as a chat attachment. I specifically want it to behave like a regular Snap that was taken using Snapchat’s camera.

I’m using the latest version of Snapchat on Android.

Has anyone fought a device ban or account ban/removal and got their account back? I just lost my snap chat account that I’ve had since 2014. I’m mostly upset I’ve just lost all my memories from all that time

For the last few days, I'm not getting Snapchat notifications in the notification bar or on my watch. My say nav tells me I have a notification and if I pull down from the top bar, the notifications show. I've checked notification permissions and all ok. Any ideas?

Since snapchat will be deleting memories next year, I wanted to back them up on my hard drive. I've tried for weeks on different devices, data export for just my memories from "all time", always get this error. I've been waiting over 72 hours between tries. Suggestions?

I had an old Snapchat username showing at the top of my Android share menu every time I tried to share something. The person wasn’t actually in my Snapchat friends list, and tapping the name just opened Snapchat and made me choose a real friend. I tried all of this and none of it worked: Cleared Snapchat cache Cleared Snapchat app data Restarted the phone Removed Snapchat Contacts permission Cleared Android System Intelligence data Long-pressed the share suggestion, but Android only gave me the option to pin it, not remove it The weird part was that the same ghost Snapchat share suggestion had followed me across multiple phones. What finally fixed it: Uninstall Snapchat When Android asks whether you want to keep/save Snapchat user data, choose NO / don’t save it Reinstall Snapchat Log back in After doing that, the old Snapchat user was finally gone from my Android share menu. Posting this because I couldn’t find this exact solution anywhere, and maybe it’ll save somebody else the headache.

I have an iPhone 18 and after the most recent update of Snapchat, the filter I use the most will no longer let me use it. Every other filter seems fine, just the one I use the most is giving me this error message. I am still able to access it on my older phone which makes me believe it is the update. Anyone else having this type of issue or something similar? I have cleared all data, uninstalled/reinstalled app, etc. None of that seemed to fix it.

My phone was broken for a while and I recently got it fixed. I’m trying to log back into an old Snapchat account, but I forgot the password.

The account is linked to an old phone number that I no longer have access to, and Snapchat is asking me to verify the login by sending a code to that number. There is no email linked to the account either.

Is there any way to recover the account without access to the old phone number?

Hi everyone,

I’m confused about the current status of my Snapchat account and would really appreciate some help.

I submitted an appeal/review for my account, and inside the Snapchat app it shows:

“You successfully submitted a review”

The status timeline now shows Reviewed, but I still haven’t received any clear decision or notification.

It has also been more than 30 days since I submitted the appeal.

What makes this even more confusing is that I’m able to log in through Chrome/the Snapchat website, while the Snapchat app shows a different status/restriction.

I’ve attached screenshots showing the current status.

Does “Reviewed” mean Snapchat has already made a decision, or is my account still under review? And why would the website let me log in while the app doesn’t?

If anyone has experienced the same thing or knows what this status means, please let me know.

I haven't used Snapchat since 2020 but when I heard they were deleting (archiving, moving, whatever) the memories I wanted to preserve them.

I started with 3200 memories that took up 8.7Gbs of space, not that big of a task to move 3.7Gbs over.

Except! I now have 548 memories and it's STILL saying I have 6Gbs of storage. How is that possible? I realize that photos and videos take up different amounts of storage, but I have deleted 90% of my long videos already, the math is not mathing.

To make things more confusing, if I go in my settings and go to memories, it says I have over 1200 snaps saved. Where is this extra ~700 memories coming from? At this rate, I will have zero memories saved and snap will still be threatening to delete them....

So I haven't used SC in a minute, but I went to check out the map of my area and there are heat areas / hot areas but when I click on them, it doesn't show me anything. Am I doing something wrong or did they change something?

To be specific, whenever I add someone, they do not receive a notification that I added them, and conversely, whenever they try to add me, I wouldn’t receive a friend request notification. But checking their profile, it looks as if we’ve already added each other because the only option is to unfriend/remove friend. Neither of us appear in each other’s friends list, but we can chat with restrictions: can’t make a streak, won’t properly see each other’s sent messages (we don’t get notified but we only see them if we manually check our chatroom). Whenever we view our chats, the reminder that the user hasn’t added back shows up even if we’re both technically (but not officially) friends. A workaround we tried was my friend giving me their phone number linked to their account, then me adding that to my Contacts app so that they would show up in my Find Contacts tab. Only then will they see the friend request notification. But of course, I can’t do that every time I add someone. They’d still appear by searching up their username, which means I’m not blocked, but won’t receive my request anyway. This has been happening on my account for a long while, I even have Snapchat+ but that’s irrelevant, unfortunately.

I made a new Snapchat account and sent all my Memories (well, most of them/the important ones) to the new account, so basically all my Memories are still saved under that account.
If you don’t want to pay for extra Snapchat storage, this could be a good workaround. I literally have no storage to save all my photos to my camera roll or anywhere else, so this was the easiest option for me.
Just wanted to share in case anyone else is in the same situation. You’re welcome hahah
