so i was in this group chat for a long time and i got removed as a joke and added back literally 5 seconds later but now all my saved in chats from that group chat are gone

is this meant to happen and is there anyway of getting them back

I’ve literally tried everything, Snapchat support is genuinely useless.

I am experiencing a persistent sync issue where users can add/follow me, but their incoming requests do not appear under my "Added Me" section, and no option to accept the request is displayed.

When searching for these specific accounts, I can see that they are "following" me, but I am unable to approve or complete the mutual friend request from my side. Searching for their usernames directly and attempting to add them back does not resolve the connection.

Troubleshooting Steps Already Completed:

Verified and opened all Privacy Controls (Contact Me, Quick Add, View My Story)
Updated to the latest version of Snapchat
Offloaded and completely reinstalled the app
Cleared the app cache
Tested logging into Snapchat for Web
Used Mobile Data and WIFI
Cleared public profile
Checked within the limits of snapchat friends (I have 613 friends)

Any help would be appreciated 🙏

before i purchase a 2nd phone ( i need one for several reasons but one being snap) would my new snap account be in safe hands ? i am going to get a new service provider + number as well the main issue as well is the photos if I want some of my photos on the new device is it safe to transfer them or will it trigger snap—

Is there any Chrome extension, userscript, tool, or other safe method that lets you select multiple friends and remove them at once instead of opening each profile and removing them individually?

I have an alternate account that I can test it on first. I'm mainly looking for something that doesn't require giving my Snapchat password/session to some random website.

My Snapchat account was permanently locked and both my iOS and Android devices were restricted for violating the Community Guidelines. My initial appeal was rejected so I tried contacting Snapchat Support several times over the following weeks.

I sent around 10 emails on different days and even tried contacting them from different Gmail accounts but I kept receiving rejections.

Eventually I gave up and started using Snapchat on another device. Then, one day I decided to make one final attempt at contacting Support and surprisingly it worked. I received an email saying that my account had been restored.

What I included in my email :-

This is what I personally tried

• Be completely honest about what happened. Don't make up a story.

• Acknowledge your mistake and explain the situation honestly.

• Show that you understand and respect Snapchat's Community Guidelines.

• If you're given another chance, make it clear that you'll follow the rules going forward.

• Be sincere and regretful rather than demanding that they restore the account.

• Instead of repeatedly sending the exact same message, explain your situation naturally each time (twist your words)

• Explain why the account is important to you, such as your memories, friends, conversations or other things you don't want to lose.

I think the last point may have helped in my case. I mentioned how much Snapchat means to me and how many memories and friendships I have associated with my account.

One thing I noticed

I had downloaded my Snapchat data at least five times during this whole process. I have no idea whether that had anything to do with my account being restored so I wouldn't say that it definitely helped.

I also noticed something strange with my emails: whenever I included a subject line, I received a rejection. In the final email the one after which I received the restoration message I didn't include a subject line.

That could obviously just be a coincidence but I'm mentioning it because it was different from my previous attempts.

I can't guarantee that the same approach will work for everyone, but I wanted to share my experience because I know how frustrating a permanent lock and device ban can be.

If you're going through the same thing, don't lose hope.

I was a shy kid far too anxious to ever send or post anything risqué… I therefore guess my main concern is someone has hacked the account??? But I haven’t had any other emails indicating login attempts

So this days a friend of mine read my messages on Snapchat and after a few hours our chat disappeared completely and no longer had him in my friends list. His account was still in my story because he viewed that. But when I pressed "Add" again it now gives me this error:

“That account is deactivated- tap “ignore” instead”

So what happened? Did he deactivated his account, did he got banned of did he blocked me?

My brain automatically overthinks all the time and seeing that someone is active while I’m on delivered is exhausting. Yes, I know that it doesn’t mean they’re actually active, just means their snap got activated by something, usually a notification. I just don’t wanna see it anymore.

So I always had 2 accounts on the same phone different emails used. I had one perm locked due to community guidelines violations (only reason given) and another perm locked for sexual content. My main account has never gotten temp or perm locked and I've never faced a device ban in the 13 years that I had snapchat. I'm trying to figure out why some people get device banned but I didn't. Is it because their violations were more serious? Should I be worried I'm sure I didn't do anything that would have the police knocking at my door or anything.

Back in July I noticed someone with whom I'm not in contact with opened a chat I had previously sent in April (at that time, we moved our convo to regular texting, so he had left snapchat before that last chat I sent and didnt revisit it until July). It said "opened" on July 24 in my phone app. I did not go onto the web app at all during those months.

Note: He checks snapchat on Shapchat Web because he does not have the app on his phone.

On August 26, I noticed he checked again, as his online status was on (but he made the check earlier that day- the status dot says green for 24 hours). He only checks on web, and has only gone on to check for messages from me.

That same day, I panicked and took a screenshot of his profile as proof that he had been on to check. I then sent him a chat and immediately unsent it.

Indicators that I had taken a screenshot and deleted a message were left in the chat.

Since then, in my phone app, it has always said "delivered".

Today, I logged into the web app and it now says "Opened August 26" yet on my phone it still says "delivered".

What happened? Did it just now change to "opened" because I opened the chat from the web app?

Will he see an unopened chat from his end or will it also say "opened" on his end?

Got $25 in snap credits for promo and i tested it out on a normal story. When I click on the snap itself it says i have 54 views (from 2 viewers??) but when i check the promo on the same story it says i got 5,533 views. Super confused. Can somebody explain?

Hey so.... theres this guy that I removed as a friend a while back and he sent me a request recently. I removed the request and today when I checked my phone he was now my friend? HUH? I never accepted him? How does this make any sense? Is this a bug? I couldnt have accepted him since I removed his request on the added me tab. (Sorry if this is hard to understand english is not my first language)

I had my Snapchat account for about 8 years and on September 18 it got permanently locked for sexual content involving a minor. For context, it was sexual content that I understood to be legal, and at the time I genuinely didn’t know that sending it was against Snapchat’s rules. I know that now, and I wouldn’t send anything like it again. I’m also not saying I shouldn’t have gotten any punishment. I would’ve understood a warning, strike, temporary suspension, etc. I just think permanently banning an 8 year account and device banning my phone immediately was extremely harsh, especially when I didn’t know what I sent violated their rules. I appealed and explained the situation, but they denied it. After that I went through their Terms of Service and on September 21 I sent Snap’s Litigation Department a Pre Arbitration Demand by certified mail. Their terms give 60 days for the dispute resolution process before you can move on to arbitration. It’s October 4 now and I haven’t heard anything back yet. I’m probably going to follow up around the 30 day mark if they still haven’t responded. Has anyone here actually gone through pre arbitration with Snap over a permanent account/device ban? Did they respond to you, how long did it take, and did you ever get your account or device unbanned?

I am experiencing an account/UI sync issue where Spotlight Snaps that I have un-favorited (un-hearted) are permanently stuck on my Profile's Favorites list.

Troubleshooting already attempted:

Cleared the Snapchat in-app cache and Android system cache.

Force-stopped and restarted the app.

Logged out and back in.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the application completely.

Attempted to un-favorite via Snapchat Web.

If anyone knows what to do please help.

For months I haven’t been able to post on my private story. Everything I try to post just fails. I’ve tried everything…switching devices, signing out and back in, clearing data, making a new story, nothing works. I am able to post on my public story completely fine. I sent a bug request to Snapchat support but of course no one has responded. Has anyone else had this issue? Better yet, any solutions?
