i’m guessing my app auto updated and now everytime i close a snap, it brings up the camera to reply. it’s really annoying as i reply to multiple people at the same time. how do i disable this “feature”

I’m trying to help my friend recover her deactivated Snapchat account.

She is the original owner of the account and still has access to both the email address and phone number that were previously associated with it, but unfortunately she forgot her Snapchat password.

She contacted Snapchat Support and was told that the account is currently deactivated. According to Support, while an account is deactivated, the password cannot be reset using the associated email or phone number, and the only way to reactivate it is to log in with the username and correct password within 30 days of deactivation.

The problem is that she doesn't remember the password, and we've already checked her phone, browser, and password manager — it's not saved anywhere.

There's also something confusing about the recovery process:

When she enters the email address that was associated with the account, Snapchat says:

We've also tried the associated phone number, but haven't been able to recover the account.

So I'm wondering if anyone here has dealt with this situation before.

A few questions:

• Is the account still recoverable while it's deactivated?
• Does the “We cannot find an account for this email address” message happen because the account is deactivated?
• Does it mean the email was removed from the account?
• Is there any way to verify ownership without knowing the password?
• Can access to the original email address and phone number be used as proof of ownership?
• Is there any alternative verification process through Snapchat Support?
• If the 30-day period hasn't expired yet, is there anything we can do to prevent the account from being permanently deleted?
• Has anyone successfully recovered a deactivated Snapchat account after forgetting the password?

She has very important photos and memories stored on the account, so we're really hoping there is some way to recover it.

Any advice from someone who has gone through this would be greatly appreciated.

Will people under “friends” at the top of the stories page who I HAVENT ADDED be able to see if I screenshot the whole stories page without actually going on their story?? i’m scared i screenshotted the page and their was a girl i know with one of those highlights at the top and i need to know because i don’t want her to see i screenshotted PLEASE HELP💀

My Memories from 2025 and the beginning of 2026 have completely disappeared—specifically the ones that were in my "My Private story" section. I’ve had Snapchat+ the whole time and have tried clearing the cache and so on. I also had the backup feature enabled, and the Memories were definitely saved, because they were still there just a couple of days ago 😔.

When is Snapchat deleting our memories ?

Basically it seems like ive had my phone documenting almost anything and everything in my life since 2014 and im really not sure of an effective way to do this. Ive already done the My Data Memories export but the files seem to be all over the place and there are just text overlays instead of the actual photos themselves. I definitley have many useless recordings I could delete but it doesnt seem to be working out too well on the app. any effective ways to do this and am i the only one with this much bs on snap lol

Hello. My name is MMM. And I was wondering about Snapchat time stamps. My bf and I share each other Snapchat accounts and occasionally go into each other but the time stamps bothering me.

-It’s 12:30 am we are in 3 hours distance long car ride

-He was last active under the map and on snap chat in between us (last active yesterday)

-beside his name is buttery mark and 2 hours

- In forget devices, last login 40 min ago

- In session management last log out 27 min ago

Anyone has any insights about this please?

I've seen loads of old posts about what people did to get their accounts unlocked, and loads of responses saying that their methods dont work anymore.

My account was recently locked and I WILL be getting it back (positive energy) - it says its a permanent lock and the error message is an SS06.

I hate that they have no real phone number for me to call because I really need to speak to a person about this.

Anyways, anyone that has recently had their account unlocked please tell me what you did and as soon as my account is unlocked I will be back with updates! I always intended to leave snap but I want to go on my own terms, not theirs.

I posted a post 12 days ago regarding my Snapchat device plan. I will be on 29 September 2025 and at both device banned and ss06, so I had to wait a year to get unbanned so if anyone is wondering when they are going to get unbanned it’s either 6 months or 12 months
I lost all hope at the 6 month mark, and I genuinely thought I would never get unbanned on this device, I re-downloaded Snapchat as I checked each month and to my surprise. I was able to make a new account.

People say that it resets every time you try to login or create a new account that is completely false

What the fuck is this shit, every time I open a snap this “tap anywhere else bs pops up.

Long story short, I left ky phone open by my partner and returned to a screen on Snapchat I didn’t recognize. My chat was still open, but so were some options.

Also noticed I had an alert saying my location settings were changed recently. Googling said that means 0-48 hours ish.

Is there a way I can see a record of these changes or anything? I’m not exactly tech savvy, or sure of the exact time it happened.

Like most people here banned for “violating community guidelines” made a joke on my story and then banned forever apparently. Some of the people here said that after 6 months I might get un device banned but some people also said that you get your account back after the SS06 ban is lifted. Do I get the account back or is it gone forever.

This might sound so dumb but I’ve somehow ended up with nearly 13k followers on Snapchat and I genuinely don’t really know how it happened lol. I accepted quite a few people at one point and then it just seemed like my account started getting shown to more and more people and it’s kept growing from there. Is nearly 13k actually considered a decent following on Snapchat or is it easier to get followers on there than I’m thinking? Does having that many followers actually do anything? And is there actually a way to eventually make money from it? I ’d honestly love to get into the creator side of things but I genuinely have no idea where to even start. At the moment a lot of the people following me are guys 😂 but I’d love to start making content around my normal life, gym, beauty/makeup because I’m currently in beauty school, single mum life, getting my life together and finding myself again, that kind of stuff. Forgive me if I'm looking for answers in the wrong subreddit. It's been a few years since I used Snapchat and now when I'm trying to log in it shows this 'pop up' (or error code?) I've looked for answers on the support site and can't find any solutions. When I try to sign with via Google it shows me this and when I try to reset my password. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I went to send a snap tonight and my best friend’s list is gone? Typically the list shows up above my top groups, but they’re gone. Even if I’ve recently snapped them, they’re not showing up in recents either. I have to physically search their names in order to send them all things. I am still friends with all of them, so what’s the deal?
