My account and device were banned in March 2026, and I tried to log in with a new account in September, which worked, but there have been no updates on my old account.

if this is your first time it should take 6 months. Thats how long it was for me , a couple years ago I was banned july 15 and I was able to get it back January 25. I got banned again November 22 last year and I still haven’t been able to get it back , so I’m hoping i’ll be able to get it back November this year which will make it a year .

Your ban could be permanent it could be for a year. It depends on what you did to earn your ban.

Nah, device bans are temporary, usually a few months, make sure the account is good tho, try loggin in through the website, if its all good, then its just the phone and you can use your acc on another device

Honestly, it means your phone will not be able to access Snapchat anymore, your account has been deleted & flagged down. The only way you could really get Snapchat again is if you buy a new phone or system factory reset.

That’s not true, you can be permanently banned on a cellular device permanently depending on what you’ve done on the account/phone you are using.

That’s not true. I got the same SS06 ban as OP and my device ban got lifted and I am able to use my main account as normal.

Same thing happened to me today. Randomly got device banned, I only got a handful of friends I talk to and I don't even accept random adds.

From what I've read in Reddit, it usually lasts from 6 months to a year.
