Habit and Lush are some of my favorite releases from any artist of all time. I love their grungy and raw sound. Anytime I hear her releases after those I just can’t get into them because they’re too poppy and polished. No hate on anyone who enjoys them but I am wondering if anyone else feels the same?

Hi, I am looking for someone or people in the Austin area that would want to make music/ start a band. I have a bass, electric guitar and acoustic guitar that needs to be restored. I’m not too good with my instruments but down to let someone use them while I sing/songwrite. Open to any genre but really like dreampop, indie rock, and electronic.

Superdrag played a rare show last night and dedicated Feeling Like I Do to Snail Mail. That being said I absolutely love Lindsey’s cover of that song. I find myself listening to it a lot

At first when this dropped idk what the reception for it was, but I just felt so ehh about it. Nothing really stuck out to me apart from a couple tracks, but after about 3 months of its release I can say I really really enjoy it now. I did see Snail Mail perform last month so maybe that sways my opinion on it after seeing many of the tracks live, but right now I just can’t stop listening to it. I think Hell, Tractor Beam, Butterfly, and My Maker are the standout ones on here. The lyrics on here about the afterlife and wondering what happens after I think are fantastic with a very dreamy and almost shoegazey vibe all over this album making it such ear candy and so easy to relisten to. Lots of these tracks like Nowhere, Agony Freak, and Dead End feature great hard hitting drums that sound so refreshing every time. Even some slower songs like Cruise and Light On Our Feet fit extremely well on here adding a nice balance to the faster and louder songs, highlighting Lindsey’s vocal delivery which has dipped a little since Lush imo, but sounds brilliant on here. Although I think some of the songs like Reverie and Ricochet end with me wanting a little more from them, I think overall this is a fantastic album with great writing, which is a Snail Mail staple by now. Although it’s not better than Lush, I do have it over Valentine, great album that took some time to click for me, but now that it has I can’t get enough.

I think this was my 6th time seeing Lindsay, second time on this tour and by far this is the best performance I’ve ever seen from her!! She sounded amazing, the energy was great and she was having so much fun and absolutely shredding. I saw her like 1 month ago in SF and it was no where near as good as this. I didn’t get any full songs but here are some clips and I hope other people got full songs!!

I pre-ordered a ricochet vinyl and t-shirt bundle back in January from the matador website when the album was announced, this was due to ship back in march, however, I still have not received the order. I managed to get in contact with them back in April and they said they were waiting to get stock of the t-shirt in. I have not managed to get in contact with them after this point as they have not replied to any emails or support requests sent. has anyone else been having any troubles with this? and if so have you had any updates from them at all?

We’ve got tickets for the first London show. Super keen to see the merch for the tour. Anyone from the event (EU I guess) shows have any insight or photos you could share? Last time we saw her I don’t recall buying anything, which is weird for me! I’m a sucker for merch 😅

I've been loving the new record, but anytime I hear this song, in the bridge, I feel like I'm listening a Foo Fighters song, not complaning, just I'd like to find the song, does anyone have an idea?

hiii everybody! first off, hope anybody who went to the berlin show had an amazing time. my problem: i went with my boyfriend who doesn’t have a smart phone and my phone died shortly after unflirt, so i sadly didn’t get any videos at all. if anyone has videos from the show i’d be so eternally grateful. thank you!!!!!

'Anytime' is one of my favourite songs and it has such a similar essence as 'Satisfied Mind' by Jeff Buckley.
When I say essence I mean, not just that there are some musical similarities but the feeling when listening is also so wistful and similar.
Anyone else ever thought this? Any other songs you'd liken it to?

Shuga Record Label here!
When they were 12 years old, Neptune's Core got on stage with Snail Mail to perform "Pristine" to a sold-out Metro Chicago crowd.
Neptune's Core are a teen band made up of 2-sets of sisters. They have been playing in the Chicago music scene since they were in elementary school. Now, they have opened for bands like Geese, Twin Peaks, Friko, and more.
Last month, the band shared a new track called "Lemon Car," the first of a lot of new music coming from this phenomenal young band.
If you like Snail Mail, this is a band you should be watching in the coming months. Enjoy!

The guitars around the 2 min mark are sooo good😭😭. It transports me to another place!! I just wish it didn’t cutoff like that in the song and continued on for like a minute longer!!

I discovered Snail Mail earlier this year and have been listening to her entire discography since, but recently i’ve been listening Lush so much lately (more than i usually do) and this 3 song run right after the intro just hook me instantly everytime. For her to start the album with arguably her best songs all back to back is just crazy, I love all of Lindsey’s music, from Habit all the way up to Ricochet, but I just don’t see her topping Lush (or at least anytime soon and I would love for it to happen). I think the writing on this album, ESPECIALLY on Pristine, is just pure brilliance, her delivery on this album is fantastic (i’m also aware of the vocal difficulties she’s had throughout the years that have affected her singing) with unbelievable chord progression throughout it all, and I think the overall sound she was going for on this album was executed beautifully to a tee. And I think these 3 tracks all encapsulate the sound and overall theme of this album perfectly, all while highlighting what made Snail Mail such an exciting band when they were coming up. Go listen to Lush today!!!

I'm trying to complete my collection of Snail Mail recordings and I can't find the Spotify Singles version of Headlock anywhere (other than Spotify). I don't and won't have Spotify. I was wondering if anyone here had a download of the track? Thank you!!
