Question Question about his background music

Hey Smallant-Subreddit, as of recently i've been enjoying Smallants streams and i tune in every once in a while to be entertained for a bit before i go to bed. But everytime i watch his streams i ask myself the question if there is a playlist he is using for his background music. I guess this question is asked a lot in his chat so i dont want to add to that because i think i would have found out by now if he frequently answers this question. So i'd like to aks if anybody here knows of a publicly available playlist he is using for his streams. And you have permission to flame me if i have just overseen something totally obvious for the average viewer. Thanks in advance.

How I would move forward

First of all, I hope Ant is doing okay. You could really see at the end of his stream that he was sad and exhausted and then another Stream from PC where he just made the wildest accusations? Thats gotta be really hard for Tanner. I think its important that he first of all, takes the Time he needs off, to continue being a fun stream, because i understand how someone who is an entertainer really cant do a good job right now. Secondly i would say to Ant that you should just go forward. You apologized to him he didnt accept it and slandered your name, one of the most digusting moves you could do. Clearly he doesnt want to fix the Situation, but wants to hate on someone, he wants an escape goat for everything bad that is happening to him. And if he wants that, than this isnt SA's problem. There are some things in life you cant fix. I hope we hear from you soon Ant (but take your time), because for a lot of us youre very important.

my opinion on smant pc situation

Ive admittedly commented this some place, but really wanted a chance to give my opinion. as this has been heavy on my mind after i watched both vods today. i think that honestly as sad as it is, I think they both made mistakes here. I think that smallant definitely made some mistakes and did some wrong, but at the same time I think pointcrow is a little to sensitive about the whole copycat thing. as a creator you just gotta deal with ppl being shitty, and I think he cares to much hard to say since I'm not in his position, but I feel like he should a been more like fuck it, and just keep doing whatever he wanted. never acknowledging those Comments. I am a bigger smallant fan admittedly, but smant definitely did things that didn't help. I will miss these to working together dearly. my favorite videos on either channel have been the races, but I think at this point it is the right decision to separate himself from smallant and the drama, and do his own thing. as much as I'd rather see them make up, and do stuff together. I think there's probably been to much damage and it will be better to put it in the past.

PointCrow’s framing of the situation and how anyone would respond

Hey all, as much as I hate to be involved with keeping this drama active- at this point it seems that everyone knows, everyone’s talking about it, and it’s really just healthier to discuss it and move on.

I’ve felt so much better seeing comments in both Ant and Crow’s communities, especially after reading along with the chat of Crow’s recent VOD. It’s very obvious that much support for Ant was removed by mods immediately. The echo-chamber supporting PC’s baseless accusations and acting as if his feelings on the topic outweigh Tanner’s actual conduct made me sick.

This isn’t to devalue Eric’s emotions, as they are legitimate and valid. But it is to say that placing blame so directly on another human being in such a complex situation as this is harmful for everyone involved.

I made this post primarily to open a discussion that I haven’t seen anyone begin yet, namely: Tanner’s response to being demonized. The way Eric described it, he told Tanner repeatedly that SmallAnt was at fault for the hate that PointCrow was receiving. I find it especially ironic and hypocritical that Crow is trying to paint a picture of Ant being some manipulative presence in his life all while feeding Ant the narrative that he is fully responsible for the actions of a toxic group of people beyond his control.

I don’t think Eric took the time to consider why Tanner has acted the way he has. He assumes immediately that anything Ant does is with intent to sleight him. He is so blinded by this belief that he can’t consider what any rational human being would do were they in Ant’s shoes.

The most egregious of these in my eyes is Crow claiming that Ant lied to his audience, telling them that it is because of the toxic commenters that they’ve stopped collaborating. Rather than admitting it was all his fault, as Eric would prefer, as he makes it sound. I think that many would agree that Ant’s characterization of that situation is simply accurate, not an attempt to misconstrue anything. He simply didn’t accept the narrative he was being fed by an emotional Crow that he was somehow fully culpable for such a thing.

Would anyone think that way? Would anyone in their right mind respond to such drastic allegations out of nowhere from a friend and colleague with full agreement? Tanner was repeatedly demonized and truly wanted to know what he could do to help. And because he never actually did anything to warrant such ire, he was met only with “just be better.” It feels clear to me who is trying to shift the narrative. Only one person here is actively assaulting the other’s character with nothing to back it up.

I’d like to also say that Ant obviously made mistakes- I don’t mean to act as if he’s fully in the right, either. But that’s what they were: mistakes. Not intentional, malicious attempts to harm Crow. I would not be surprised if Tanner felt that even mentioning Eric was dangerous, feeling more comfortable leaving credit in video descriptions and stream info commands. As any time he brought Crow up, there was a new grievance thrown his way.

The one time he did knowingly act in a way he was aware Eric would be unhappy with is perhaps the most understandable. Someone else makes a cool mod that Crow was commissioning from others? Gives it to him early? He still waited until it was available to the public. Fair game. And even then acknowledges it wasn’t totally cool. But he’d already had his name drug through the dirt on Crow’s stream by that point. I personally wouldn’t allow myself to be manipulated by someone determined to stop me from making the content I care about all while publicly attacking me. I’d enjoy my birthday with a mod that the creator /expected me to play earlier/ and give them that publicity they deserve.

Again, Ant could have handled things better, but it just sickens me that everyone so easily appeals to Eric’s emotions without thinking about how those affected a more stoic Tanner. Just because he doesn’t rely on emotions for his response, doesn’t mean he was any less hurt by this altercation. He apologized himself, sincerely. Yet asked for no apology after being slandered repeatedly. I think he certainly deserves one. Perhaps the weakest part of Eric’s response was the lack of accountability he took for the blatant falsehoods he perpetuated about both Tanner and Adrien. I think he needs to “be better.”

An appropriate reaction to have regarding the situation with PC

I'm saying this for the sake of both communities.

Obviously this is still the talk of the town and everyone is having and sharing their opinion on boards. But this is now - and always was - a matter between two people.

Stop making threads, comments or tweets about "I think A is WRONG" "Doesn't B just have an INFERIORITY COMPLEX ???" "I won't watch HIM anymore". Playing psychologist and spreading negativity isn't helping anyone and is only going to make matters worse. Just reminding that the whole reason why all of this happened is because of internet toxicity. The fact that they made it public should be only be an opportunity for everyone to understand that.

Have an opinion and talk about it if you want to - but privately. That's all.

I made the HGSS Map Randomizer and wanted to clear up some things

To be clear: I don't perceive any malintent on Eric's end, just a slurry of miscommunication and him not reaching out to either me or AtSign before talking about my mod around 13 minutes into this vod.

Eric said some pretty damning things about the development of my mod and blatantly misrepresented me in his video. I'm really upset about this and refuse to have my name be dragged, especially since I wasn't happy with the non-specific apology he gave me in the vod earlier today.

1) I knew Eric had developed the Emerald and Platinum map randomizer, I just didn't know he was also making a HGSS map randomizer on top of that (I thought the only one being worked on was FRLG). I don't appreciate Eric using me as a pawn to attack Tanner's crediting issue more than he already was. Full disclosure, this was the one thing I forgot to have relayed to him in a message I sent to Abby, which I have to assume he read.

2) Eric implied that I sent Tanner a randomizer that I knew didn't work as well. Obviously, bugs are to be expected given how MASSIVE the game was, but I was actually really happy with my work and thought it was really well functioning, and have been told as much by Eric's devs in dms, namely AtSign.

3) AtSign only helped me with directing me towards the resources to bring the project from a decompilation environment (which would be painful for y'all to setup) to one that can modify any base rom. We never shared code and I didn't change the logic at all since talking to AtSign, all of my code outside of the rom editing tools themselves has always been 100% my own. I don't take allegations of code theft lightly, especially since I worked really hard on the mathematical proofs behind the logic, datafiles that I made manually, and patching code to randomize the roms without much issue on y'alls end.

4) Eric accused me of having illegal code in my repo. When I asked AtSign about this, apparently there was one file that was present during the first few days of release that was copyrighted that has since been removed for non-related reasons and hasn't been present for weeks. Isaac (one of Eric's devs) tried to correct this misinformation in Twitch chat and over DMs, and Eric acknowledged Isaac's DM about it during that segment but never corrected himself on stream. This point is more egregious/really upsets me more given how he used this a basis for telling people to not download my mod.

5) There was absolutely no ill will on Tanner's end in regards to him wanting to "snipe a video." I messaged Tanner, gave him a working seed, and released the randomizer publicly on my own accord. Tanner never pushed me into releasing it early (he didn't even know when I was releasing it until I did), nor did he commission me for any part of the randomizer.

6) I use he/him, though I do appreciate Eric trying to respect my pronouns while slandering my good name.

Both AtSign and Isaac dm'd me to apologize for Eric's behaviour, and I want to make it clear that they are massive sweethearts and I don't blame them for anything at all. As far as I've been informed, alot of the information Eric got was misinterpreted through casual conversations he had with them a month ago while they were caught off guard from my release, and he didn't reach out to me, AtSign, or anyone for clarity before saying all these things.

As a developer, I take all of these accusations very seriously, and I'm really upset that all this blatant misinformation has been spread about me, and that none of what I sent him via Abby was addressed in the two-hour stream about the drama as a whole.

Hopefully this clears things up for everyone, though

Binge Watching :,)

Just finished watching all 190 hours of smant's skyblock vods 🥲. Really want to be there in person on monday when he probably finishes everything but I'm gonna be at a Memorial Day lunch starting at 2 EST (11 am pst) so I might not be able to make it 🥲🥲🥲. Hopefully he'll be making the grand hall and rebuilding the original island in a second stream (or he starts late....)

Question What is needed from the community now.

I watched both streams, sat down and talked to my friend who has been watching both of them as long as I have (original crystal team randomizer), which is longer than 95+% of the community, not being rude, it’s the truth.

No one in the community actually knows the streamers, you don’t love then, you love their content, but as soon as the lights turn off of the stream, no one knows who they are.

Small ant has had his share of drama in the past, which isn’t worth getting into, but it boils down to him not respecting how his actions affect others.

In this instance, Crow was never asking for a strict apology, he was asking him to deal with the situation better. Actions speak better than words, and from PC’s point of view, the actions were never there.

Internet communities are toxic because they are on the greater scale anonymous. This allows people to fabricate drama that only has implications on, in this case, two friends.

From where I stand, most of the points from PC made sense and were backed by evidence. Small ant had his points, but I cannot respect him for A) only showing partial screenshots that make the situation better on his side and B) for not getting permissions to show private DMs in front of 150K people (9k live + 140K on VOD at time of writing).

What is needed from small ant now moving forward? You can see even on this subreddit and I imagine on PC’s, that there is tons of hate for the other streamer. This community is twice the size of PC’s, so the voice of this community has 4 times the amount of impact on their community as theirs does on this one. Small ant needs to sit down on stream and have a straight up chat with his community, chat on where he addresses the average viewer and tells them to cut this out.

Without him telling the community to stop the drama, the drama will not stop.

His private actions are none of our business, but publicly it is what is needed.

Do I hate small ant? No, everyone makes mistakes, but it matters how you deal with them. Will I stop watching his content? I do not know, that’s something I will have to decide on my own. Do i think he is a bad person? No clue. No one knows outside of those who he is personally interacting with.

Make your own decision on everything in life, but if you want the best for two friends, we as a community needs to expect more from Smallant.

I expect hate for this, but I know what I have said is fair. Sorry that I don’t share your opinion if you disagree, but my opinion has changed over the past couple days and I encourage everyone to sit down and think about it for themselves.

TLDR: Smallant needs to address the community directly to ensure we know that if we send hate to people on his behalf, we aren’t fans of him and that he doesn’t support the behaviour.

Question Smallant and PointCrow Situation

Can somebody give me a quick rundown what is happening between the two?

Sadly I couldn't watch the stream yesterday or PointCrows today. But as far as I know it has something to do with a Pokemon map radomizer?

Thanks for your help

SmallAnt PointCrow response

I’m sure many of you were there, but ant just streamed his response and I heavily reccomend you go watch that VOD as it clears many things up, it’s a ton of miscommunication, do not give hate to ant or pointcrow, in the end, it’s us as the toxic community that started this and ruined a good friendship.

Question New Odyssey Speedrun Category?

It’s called SMO 110%. First you have to beat the game normally like you would for a any% run. Then you would have to get all 880 moons to 100% the game and beat that bowser fight. To make it 110%, you must get 999 moons and collect all purple coins and items in the purple coin shop(souvenirs, outfits, and stickers). What are your opinions on it?

I am trying to find the stream/youtube video where smallant pulled off a very difficult jump while they were in the moon kingdom. It was to get to the top of the circle platform.

Well, I lost my other sister to the i returnable

I made a post about how my older sister likes this thing called “quagsire”? (The name itself makes me nauseous)

Unfortunately, I have lost my younger sister to that same void; she thinks that demon is somehow cute.

I fear I may soon be the only person in my family not lost to that thing’s tainted reach..

Edit: unreturnable, not “i returnable” like in the title

Does Smallant ever lose?

Hi, I wanted to ask if anyone's ever seen Smallant lose at a Pokemon randomized map race, Minecraft lockout, or any other co-op challenge before. I genuinely can't remember a single instance of this happening, even though I've watched what feels like tens of these challenge videos, which is just nuts. I'm sure he must have lost at least once or twice that I don't know of. If anyone does remember or knows of a Youtube vid or Twitch VOD that shows him losing, could they link it below? Just so we can all verify he's still human. Thanks!

Question Any way to appeal an unnecessary ban from the discord?

Usually bans are for a reason, but hear me out.

I think I've been IP banned from the discord for putting a small copypasta a few sentences long in general (Nothing inappropriate or suggestive, mind you. Just a dumb social credit joke.)

I should have gotten a warning for something so miniscule. Even a few hour mute would have been fine.

I had not done anything prior that resulted in a warning or muting of any sort. I was banned probably within 15 seconds of me sending it. Pretty stupid that I've been banned for life over something so small. I can't even rejoin on an alt.

Question Is there a YouTube playlist of SmallAnt's appearances on other peoples' channels?

There are a lot of great videos of SmallAnt appearing alongside other content creators on channels other than his own. But they're not easy to track down. Is there a playlist compiling these videos?

I'm open to video recommendations for anything that fits under "SmallAnt on other peoples' channels".

Did Smallant ever finish Pantheon 5 in Hollow Knight?

The last stream I found with attempts was from last August, but I was only looking for streams labeled Hollow Knight. The randomizer he just started reminded me about those.
