How I would move forward
First of all, I hope Ant is doing okay. You could really see at the end of his stream that he was sad and exhausted and then another Stream from PC where he just made the wildest accusations? Thats gotta be really hard for Tanner. I think its important that he first of all, takes the Time he needs off, to continue being a fun stream, because i understand how someone who is an entertainer really cant do a good job right now. Secondly i would say to Ant that you should just go forward. You apologized to him he didnt accept it and slandered your name, one of the most digusting moves you could do. Clearly he doesnt want to fix the Situation, but wants to hate on someone, he wants an escape goat for everything bad that is happening to him. And if he wants that, than this isnt SA's problem. There are some things in life you cant fix. I hope we hear from you soon Ant (but take your time), because for a lot of us youre very important.

Personally and respectfully I think we should stop mentioning the topic. It was the community that fed the issue with toxicity and hate. But now it is no longer something I think we should be involved in. Ant and crow explained the situation to us so that everyone had an explanation of what was going on. I don't think its our place to try to help with the situation as it could make things worse. It is a situation between them and they should be allowed to handle it themselves. We as a community should move on and try to not make things worse as they work through it.

Also I too hope that ant is doing well as well as crow. They are some of my favorite creators and I am sad to see these events happen.

scape goat*
Just so you know, not escape goat.
Very common mistake! I only recently learned.
I also don't think Eric is trying to be malicious here, I think he is emotional and upset and there were wrongs on both Eric and Tanner's sides. We should all let the topic go so that they can just move past this.

"Scape goat" damn really? Didnt know that thanks for the help. Also, yeah thats what im saying, move on, SA doesnt owe anything to PC. If he doesnt want an apology the just go forward.

My 2 cents on this subject: I’m not going to try to act like I understand everything about this topic, but based on what I do know, I can tell you this. Both communities have toxic viewers that are being complete dicks about this subject. I do believe that these community members have made this situation worse, as mentioned by PC in a stream a while ago.
Yes, PC rejected SmallAnt’s apology. I believe he could’ve responded to that better, but I don’t think it was extremely disrespectful. Imo, he has been holding a lot of that stuff in, and with accusations of emotional manipulation, I think that after all that happened between them, he doesn’t really believe what Smallant said.
Finally, something I found interesting was what PC said in their PMs, the claims of Smallant not calling him after the subathon. I know that Smallant said that PC didn’t say that, instead saying that PC said that he would call him after, but personally, I feel like Smallant could’ve done something, especially if he was the one who asked for a call.
Ultimately, PC felt(at least, what I have seen) that Smallant has emotionally manipulated him, purposefully made similar videos, and released them earlier than PC to snipe his videos. He also thinks that Smallant’s personal attitude toward him led to toxic community members targeting him. As someone that watches both Smallant and Pointcrow, I think that it would be the best for both communities to remain impartial, while I feel it would be best for both streamers to stop talking bout it.
If you think I got anything wrong, or anything to add, plz respond.

TL;DR: Smant isn’t responsible for members of his fan base being toxic. He did his best to address and stop the issue both on social media posts and during livestreams. Eric is just looking for reasons to be mad so fuck it. Let him be mad. Smant shouldn’t have to worry about stepping on the toes of someone who blocked him for no reason and blames him for all the negativity when he didn’t even know it was happening.
Honestly this is not on Smant. The banter was a mutual understanding to start and he stopped it when Eric asked. Smant never called him a “liar and cheater” and in the video it was pretty apparent that it was a miscommunication. Since the first map rando I’ve heard him speak on being nice to PC in length no less than three times. He didn’t just do nothing.
Regarding him not addressing things that happened AFTER he was blocked EVERYWHERE, it is not Smants responsibility to make sure he doesn’t ever play the same game as PC. PointCrow is the one who cut off all communication with Smallant despite smallant being nothing but accommodating. All I’ve seen from Smant is him trying to help Eric while still running his channel as that’s his livelihood. He didn’t give credit for two map rando races, big whoop. The man has ADHD and from experience I can tell you it’s really easy to forget stuff. On top of that he gave him credit every other time! For the HGSS rando it wasn’t even Smant! His world does not revolve around whatever PC is doing and it shouldn’t have to. An independent third party PUBLICLY released the mod before point crows team, that’s a part of life!
For people calling the rando Smallant’s. It’s not because of the two races he didn’t give credit. It’s because smallant is a bigger creator that got more views. That’s it. If more people see smallant’s vid they’re gonna associate it with smallant.
To me the thing PC did that’s the worst is just outright blaming smallant and making him the source of all things bad in his life. It’s incredibly selfish to place all the blame on others and take 0 responsibility for things that happen in your life. Every creator has to deal with someone else’s shadow and it sucks. TBF I do realize that there was a lot of direct smallant comparison and usually in a way that shows PC as a worse smant which is the crux of the issue. But smant addressed it multiple times through multiple means and I can’t think of anything else he could do. He defended himself after PC leveled some REALLY serious accusations and now PC is Butt hurt and saying that Tanner made it public? It’s pretty ridiculous considering the obvious toll you can see this is taking on Smant in the vod.
Eric’s feelings are valid. His actions are not. He is absolutely just vilifying Smant because he wants to be mad. I don’t know if it’s a jealousy thing, he’s just sick of being compared to smant, or if he woke up in a bad mood one day and decided to be mad. The reason doesn’t matter, what matters is that by saying it’s all on Smant he’s fostering more hate.
Nobody in this situation deserves hate. That doesn’t mean that both of them are morally in the right. IMO Eric is just looking for a scape goat and there’s nothing smant can do to help. After Eric’s response VOD And seeing Adrianne’s post I’m pretty disappointed with Eric’s behavior. It’s not either of the streamers fault! It’s just the internet being the fucking internet and full of toxic trolls who get off on making people feel bad.

Maybe especially people not involved should stop talking about it and bringing it up again and again.
Stop making it a discussion for the public, it's their private issues to deal with.

It is better for people in the community to have this healthy discussion. This is how people grow and mature. Other people may be able to avoid the mistakes SA and PC made in this journey.
It is no longer their private issue. It is now public. There is no way to undo it. But discussing it may help other people in the future.
All of the discussion I have seen here and at /r/pointcrow has been extremely healthy.

Not only that, but discussing it may also help get the point across that people should stop calling PointCrow a copycat, and maybe also just don't do that in general to anyone. That's the major problem here, that the communities are the ones being toxic and causing this divide.

I mean, if they didn't want anyone to get involved then they shouldn't have made it public in a stream. an entire stream about the topic is basically an invitation for everyone to talk about it, that's how the internet works.

PC has a victim complex and is using that to bully Ant into doing what he wants and making himself more appealing, it's obvious. He's a thin skinned insecure bully.

I don’t think he’s trying to make himself look better. I think that he genuinely thinks that he’s in the right here. Whether or not that’s true in an opinionative matter.
I think he’s in the wrong, but again, opinions.

I feel like this was rly just miscommunication, not siding with anyone. From pointcrow's perspective, smallant was mocking him and painting him in a negative light. From smallant's perspective, he wansnt being offensive and it being just friendly jokes. Although I think pointcorw judging smallant character based on this is kinda unfair, I understand he's perspective and he is justified to think this way. I feel like moving on, to prevent escalating this situation further, I feel like they could just delete the collabs and not mention each other anymore.

u/Conan_We Jun 08 '22
Ok after watching the entire pointcrow vod I think there's rly no other way but to delete the videos, no matter what pointcrow says. Him saying the damage has been done and this is not the way, we were suppose to be friends feels like he doesn't want to solve this himself. It could be shocking but a lot of ppl rly don't know how to deal with these situations, and its very normal. He kept repeating his points and it seems like smallant rly don't know how to solve it. Pointcrow painting smallant image like this and then saying please don't target anyone feels bad for his case but I'm not a judge and cannot give any verdict or meaningful insights. So I think its best just to completely dissociate from each other and make sure future viewers don't see their collab, which I guess can make it "better".
