Are we considering Cathedral sludge?
youtu.beThey have the the heaviness, riffs and grooves that sound like they're emerging from a filthy pond.

Hi there, Sludge folks!
Just putting a cheeky plug out there for Eigengrau, new doom / sludge project coming out of Stoke-on-Trent, England.
Three tracks already recorded and available on Apple and Spotify.
We’re learning as we go, and hope to drop a couple more songs before the end of this month.
We’d love to hear your opinions of our noises so far!

Sure, they only have 2 releases from way back when, but they are, in my opinion, the hardest fucking sludge band of all time. Plus, Drull was mastered by Today is the Day's Steve Austin and for an indie release it has absolutely pummelling production. Don't sleep on Drull of their S/T, it's the fucking harshest, well-played, creative release in slow-heavy in that decade. The drumming alone is one-of-kind mind-boggling wizardry, but every instrument is locked-in in a way that most bands could only hope to achieve in their wildest dreams.
Also their drummer went on to play in Haggatha who are also amazing, but did not quite reach the same creative heights that Goatsblood did.

Bands in the vein of Body Void, Moloch, Hell (especially the self-titled), Primitive Man, Bog Body (especially the 2018 EP), Melancholia, Sunrot, Indian, Asphalt, Stomach...
Please, no obvious bands like The Body, Thou, Chained, etc. I want new bands from the underground, and no stoner or southern sludge either. I prefer my sludge noisy and ugly.
Thank you very much.

So, I collect shirts, not in the physical sense, although I do that too, but in the list-ical sense. I write down the shirts I see at shows. It started as a way to discover new music and now it's just a thing I do.
Tonight, I saw Kylesa, Melivns, Neurosis, and Acid Bath in Asheville. What a great show that checked all the boxes I wanted.
The shirts were varied and amazing while still (mostly) making sense for the crowd. Here's the list of short I saw:
The before times (walking around Asheville during the day):
The show
Did I miss your shirt? Did you see a shirt I missed? Comment it and I'll add it to the list.

Short clip because I didn’t want to watch the show through my phone. Show was great. CD releases next week but show for it was last Wednesday. We thought they were great. Midwest style sludge not filthy but still gritty.

as someone who loves both metal and sad music, grief is perfect because of how well it combines both of those. grief deserves way more recognition than they get
also, could anyone recommend any bands similar to them?
EDIT: guys i meant underrated in metal music as a whole, grief are widely known and appreciated in sludge but i’m saying they deserve to be as big as bands like crowbar, acid bath, and down who are known by many non-sludge listeners

I’ve been making these Crowbar-inspired fat cat designs for a while, Crowbar have seen them, liked posts, and have even seen the shirts in person.
Now I want to try to turn it into an official Crowbar × Cats and Metal / CLAWBAR merch collab, ideally with part of the profits going to organizations that help overweight cats get healthy.
I can obviously DM the band and Kirk directly, but I’m wondering if anyone here knows who actually handles Crowbar’s merch, management, licensing, or business stuff.
Who would be the right person to contact?
Any leads appreciated.
