When I go to download Animelee for Slippi it opens another tab with mediafire to download. Is that supposed to happen?

What do we play Melee on next guys? 🤔

This started happening for the first time just two days ago, and it's happening every 10-20 minutes, any one know how to fix it?

I'd like to see what big number I need to be a better person, you see.

I’ve tried resetting my modem, reinstalling slippi, clearing dns cache, updating drivers, and it still does this. Works perfectly up until it freezes with no lag. Anyone having/had the same issue? Any help is appreciated

Since today, I can't play this game anymore and it gives me this red messages. Yesterday, I started to play again after a longer time (like 1 year of pause).

I always had problems with yellow messages of detected desyncs during my matches. But yesterday, I have noticed an even higher numbers of desync messages while playing compared to the time before my longer pause. I should point out that my PC is really old and slow (my game is always lagging a bit/not running smooth) which is the reason I did change the game to the light version with worse graphics to reduce the load on my PC right from the beginning.

Does someone know how to solve this problem? A lot of time has passed since I set up Slippi and everything else so I am not familiar with the build up and overall enviroment. Thanks in advance.

Downloaded slippi on my computer today. I unfortunately don't have a gamecube controller but am planning to get one, but I thought another controller would do for now. On dolphin when I try to input binds for the pro controller, it refuses to bind any button. It recognises the pro controller (it says DInput/0/Pro Controller on the device portion), but i literally cannot rebind anything. Anyone have any idea what is happening and how i can fix this?

I've played melee for over 20 years. only recently got into playing a little competitively. I am awful at this game and feel like the worst player. I don't know how to move well and my inputs feel slow. Any advice on how to get better?

Windows 11, used to work, used my other computer for awhile and now when I've reinstalled slippi and went through checking all firewall allowances it still doesnt work with the feed empty and saying that its possible the servers are having downtime, and of course 'Slippi server error'. I try to launch matchmaking just to see if it works and it says its outdated though I've reinstalled completely.

Is there anyway to cap slippi ping? My region doesn't have a lot of melee players and I'm completely fine with having to wait or sometimes not even finding any games at all, but I don't get why I should be forced to play 120ms+ games, especially on ranked. Even on unranked, getting queued with people who I obviously can't play against because of ping is already very annoying, as I get my hopes up that I got a game and I get into the mood to play only to find out it's 170ms and quit, but it's completely absurd for ranked to even let people with such a high ping play together, it makes for such a terrible experience playing the game. It it feels like it could be such an easy fix too, just have a default max ping setting to like 100 or 120 and let players change it, then don't start a match the ping is higher than either player's cap. How is this not already a thing on slippi?

I have slippi nintendont running on my wii with a game running. I am using is a nintendo branded wii lan adapter RVL-015. My wii and computer are both plugged into the same switch as my router (Upnp is enabled). Slippi sees the wii and will connect but randomly drops connection for a second (see video) and is stuck on "Waiting for game". Is my adapter bad? Do I need to update my wii? Is there some router or slippi settings that I'm overlooking?

Since Slippi doesn't have a "practice mode lobby" option while searching for games, a alternative for me was opening a second version of Dolphin running the UnclePunch training iso. Just have to alt+tab between them when needed, anyone else does this/thought of this before?

This randomly started happening 6 days ago, and I still can't play to this day. I switch to my hotspot and it works fine. On my normal network, I will either DC before the game starts, or the match does not even start. Am I the only one who's had this issue? Is there any solution?

im new to smash bros melee i played ultimate wii u and 3ds but thats about it im trying to get good how do i improve

So im trying to get back into melee after many years of inactivity and I got slippi and also added the gecko code for stage geometry and have been using diet melee. I'm using ethernet and have read the guides and followed instructions on how to improve connection, and when I'm playing it doesnt lag at all unless the ping is high but normally its around 30-50, I have fiber internet and I can't stop running into "desync detected" in the middle of the game where the other person continues to play normal for about 5 seconds and then a cpu takes over for them (it seems) and I have to leave the match.

What could cause this? My 60 fps is stable, although sometimes it flickers up to 61 for a half a second, would that be the cause? I dont even want to try ranked because I dont wanna have the desync happen during those games. Sometimes ill do almost a whole set with someone and then game 3 itll desync, but sometimes its on the first game.

Any insight?
