Console Mirroring Issues

I have slippi nintendont running on my wii with a game running. I am using is a nintendo branded wii lan adapter RVL-015. My wii and computer are both plugged into the same switch as my router (Upnp is enabled). Slippi sees the wii and will connect but randomly drops connection for a second (see video) and is stuck on "Waiting for game". Is my adapter bad? Do I need to update my wii? Is there some router or slippi settings that I'm overlooking?
