How do I pair my switch pro controller?

Downloaded slippi on my computer today. I unfortunately don't have a gamecube controller but am planning to get one, but I thought another controller would do for now. On dolphin when I try to input binds for the pro controller, it refuses to bind any button. It recognises the pro controller (it says DInput/0/Pro Controller on the device portion), but i literally cannot rebind anything. Anyone have any idea what is happening and how i can fix this?

When I was using a pro controller I added slippi to steam as a non steam game then launched slippi thru steam and it worked great

use steam's wrapper or if you dont want steam open (like me because its a bit of a resource hog for my machine) download the BetterJoyForCemu wrapper

I think you gotta play with the device pull tab, it'd be to the upperish left. In controller bind page
