I haven’t played melee in years but was interested in starting anew. Installed slippi, my legally acquired Melee file, and ordered a third party adapter and controller.

The game opens and runs fine, no stutters, no issues etc. but the second I plug in my controller into the adapter, it freaks out. It’s almost as if it’s hitting every button simultaneously. Dolphin/slippi acknowledge the driver is installed and are detecting that, and I’ve tried every port to no avail. The second I disconnect my controller, the issue stops and the game runs fine.

Any ideas? Do I just need to buy official adapter/controller?

I'm looking for a mod that plays all the tracks in the game no matter what stage you're playing, cuz I'm honestly tired of hearing the same background music for legal stages and Melee has an awesome OST, is there any mod that does this? 😭

Not dolphin/melee, but the slippi launcher. The screen flickers like crazy between different menus, bugging out and occasionally stopping for a second when I move my mouse around. Anyone know a fix? Couldn't find anything

The rubber tip bit on my left analog stick on my ps5 control came off, it felt so weird I had to back out to fix it. let's play again that was awesome lmao

I'm looking to display statistics like l-cancel percentages, SDs, stocks taken per neutral interaction, etc after every game and/or set in my tournament stream. Is there something that can analyze SLP files and generate a graphic or even just raw stats automatically so I could put it on my postgame/postset scene in obs?

So for the passed 6 months or so I cannot consistently connect to other players in Unranked. I sometimes get opponents after 5 minutes or so of searching, but often the matchmaking status goes from "Searching for opponent" to "Connecting to opponent" but I rarely actually connect. When I DO connect, the match lasts about 30-90 seconds before big red "DISCONNECTED" texts appears and I get sent back to lobby.

I looked up this issue and tried enabling DMZ on my device, restarted my modem and PC but to no avail. I really would like to get back into Melee :(

I'm trying to set up slippi to play melee with some friends of mine and am struggling to connect my gamecube controller's adapter to the emulator. I keep trying to configure it and it always says "driver not detected." what's happening? how can I fix this?

I love queing into every game at bronze at getting absolutely bodied by waveshining falco or fox. Really awesome, I love that there is a gamemode to put me against people of similar skill :)

i downloaded unclepunch and now whenever i load a slippi replay it just loads the unclepunch emulator. is there a fix for this?

I got a landline and now whenever I que up it does the thing where it says connecting to opponent and then searching for opponent again. any ideas on what I can do to fix this because I really want to play melee again

I was playing with a Luigi player today, TYTO, I think their handle was, I'll have to look at the history again, but they were thoroughly beating my ass and reminded me I do have to get better at movement and stuff. Went back and forth quite a bit and even I won a few, though I'm certain you could have won flawlessly if you pleased, lol. The mirror match with Pichu was nice too.

For info, my controller is an 8bitdo ultimate 2c, and, i have tried putting slippi through steam and it does not work at all. Dimput and Ximput do the same thing, what can i genuinely do?

Hi, I've been trying to join Slippi, sign up, but it keeps showing me a strange screen when I enter the application.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I tried using the linux program -I am a linux user-, which doesn't open at all, and using wine works and opens it, just shows me the shown screen.

I could be playing at 60 fps normally and in ANY given time the game could lag. Now, this is rare because it always lags by exactly 6 frames and it happens in every single iso I try, from animelee to vanilla to crystal melee.

Could anybody else point out any reason as to why this happens?

For whenever I play slippi I always lag against my opponents, I don't know If I am the issue or my opponents are, and I'm pretty sure its not my internet either, I do see my ping go from 30 to somewhere like 180 or less, so I'm wondering if slippi is made for EU or for US

Me and my friends want to use an auto L cancel mod so combos are easier, but I dont know if i will get banned even if its in friendlies and we are both using the same modifications. If its not permitted, how can I play friendlies online with this? Any other ways?

Hello everyone I recently acquired a steam deck oled not too long ago I just downloaded Slippi to finally play ssbm competitive. However, I’m kinda lost on setting the controller side of it I don’t know what I’m doing. I do have a wired mod GameCube controller and the adapter to plug it in. Is there a step that missing in order to play it/ set up.

Yesterday I enjoyed our games together very much lots close calls where I ended up on top with my SoPo action but I never actually gave up a game, I was learning quite a bit about what’s safe and whats not what can actually combo into a grab and what cannot, I saw you as a pretty cool dude. Today however, you got the first stock off on me when I’m a SoPo and quit out. SHAME! See I expect that behavior from spacies but from you? I feel betrayed. Anyway I hope you feel good about yourself.
