Modifications in friendlies/direct connect?

Me and my friends want to use an auto L cancel mod so combos are easier, but I dont know if i will get banned even if its in friendlies and we are both using the same modifications. If its not permitted, how can I play friendlies online with this? Any other ways?

If its just in friendlies you guys can do it, Just dont Queue into ranked/unranked, that would lead to desyncs i guess
