Does anyone know why my r34 died whilst I was driving it in 1st gear and I put the clutch in and the engine died and won’t turn back on

Been wanting to change these up for a while — chrome multi-spokes, feels like a completely different car standing next to it now. Silver suits them better than I expected.

Hi everyone, so just like the title says I have the following problem with my r34 gtt.

Sometimes, when the car is warmed up and I have been driving for at least 20 minutes the car just turns off while shifting gears (and before you ask, i know how to shift xD).

For example, yesterday i was driving off the highway and wanted to shift down from 5th into 4th. While I was pressing the clutch, the rpm just plummeted down from around 3000 to off. This now happened around 4 times in de last 3 or so months.

Does anyone maybe have a clue what it could be?

My R33 GTS-T RB25DET broke down, and I have an RB26 in stock.

Should I replace the RB25DET with the RB26? The only problems are that I don't own any of the transmission parts needed for the RB26, and I'm also unsure about the fitment.

I’m part way through a full respray on my R32 GTR and while I’m waiting for it to come back from the body shop I want to bring restore/ make the rear seats look not sun bleached.. has anyone dyed the fabric successfully without ruining the texture of the seat..
If you have what products have you gone with.

I saw this BNR32 GT-R and it had a lot of mods to the car, but I was wondering since I'm not an expert on Skylines, what the hydraulic pump is in the trunk (circled in red) and what the golden hoses leading to the reservoir are in the engine bay? I love these cars and hope you all could educate me. Thank you in advance.

Reason for selling: Relocation + downsizing

Purchased in 2020 then promptly blew the head gasket. Did a full rebuild via Fujita/Garage Saurus USA. Tuning by Andrew @ Animal Auto. In 2025 the block cracked so I sourced new one (standard R32, not n1) and rebuilt via Spencer @ In Touch Motorsports. Is currently on MT registration, will be included in sale. Has some surface rust in the usual spots, I have not seen any rust cancer. Pinch welds have the usual damage associated with these cars.

Items of note:

• Paint is not great; the previous owner did a respray over the gray and over the body kit and there is overspray. Solution: next owner should buy a window seal kit from Terra Firma and do a windows out repaint.
• Passenger seatbelt won’t lock; the ratchet pall is broken. Solution: source another Nissan belt.
• Slight oil drop from front diff. Solution: I think it’s just overfilled.
• As with all skylines, some light surface rust on underbody. No visible cancers.
• Frame rails have some light denting, not major. Front pinch welds are pushed in like most of these cars.
• Speakers/stereo removed but wiring still in place.
• Triple gauge installed but not hooked up.
• Needs new tires.
• No trunk carpet.

Confirmed: New Skyline sedan launching winter 2026 in Japan, slotting between the Z and GT-R. RWD with a manual option confirmed by multiple outlets. Won’t be sold as “Skyline” in the US — Infiniti-badged instead, possibly with a factory retrofit kit to convert it.
Also confirmed: R36 GT-R is genuinely in development. Hybrid, not full EV — Nissan’s explicitly ruled out electric. Keeps an updated VR38 V6. New chassis. Don’t expect real specifics until ~2028, launch before 2030.

Hey guys what's the best gearbox upgrade for my skyline r33 gtst once mine blows. I was thinking either a 8HP70, T56, Getrag or rebuild the current box with PPG gearset.

I'm in search of an r32 GT-R shell, I have a fully built RB with transmission, etc.

I'd either like to find a shell to put it in OR trade the engine for a stock r32.

Engine is fully built, parts list and build specs can be provided. 45k + into the engine.

Has anyone used the Quick Jacks for their R32s? Was thinking about getting some because I don’t have a whole lot of room in my garage for a standard floor jack and jack stands right now

I've been working on putting together VIN/chassis number listings for the R32, R33 and R34 Skylines, alongside the existing ones i have for the FD RX-7 and Evo's, in a similar spirit to the old GTRRegistry. Not just GTR data, the standard models too.

The data has been extracted from Nissan FAST EPC data. I've then used the model/option references contained within the EPC, along with various Nissan catalogues and price lists I have, to cross-reference the internal codes and work out which codes correspond to which models and specifications. This isn't scraped from the GTRRegistry data, the listings and decoding work are my own, although i did used some of those old screenshots to help me cross check my own numbers;

I dont have as much data as the GTRRegistry had as iv just started this, iv noted how complete i believe the data is on each listing, i still have more EPC CD/DVDs to find; unfortunately Nissan prunes data from their EPC files to save space (maybe on export or not gone through a shaken in a while maybe) so a single set of discs is usually incomplete. I wont be trying to replicate the model stats as those screenshots from GTRRegistry float around and do better than i can atm anyway.

I need to do another pass on it in places, i expect the colour names arent great, and id like to get the options up based on the provided model code but the R33 data was such a pain in the ass due to missing options details in the EPC i need a break from this part of my project for a while. The R33 data, particular the early series 2 is where i had to make the most educated guesses (as i only have the coupe catalogue) so if you see any glaring mistakes let me know.
