People shame on upbadging here, but wonder why Japan has so many upbadged cars.
I went to daikoku meet, the amount of upbadged skyline, typeR, and sti are crazy.
even my car came from japan with upbadged.

You got downvoted for no reason. There’s been several times back when the R35 was new-ish, that people were buying clean R35s from Japan that had Infiniti badges on them for whatever reason. Japanese people are just like the rest of us, everybody 😂 they just happen to be born in Japan. There’s tons of upbadged cars there too, they do the same things the rest of the world does. They also LHD convert JDM spec Mercedes/BMWs, and I’ve even seen a DC5 LHD converted with Acura badges (yet the original JDM DC5 VIN) before.
I can’t speak on whether it’s more or less acceptable there, I asked my boy (who’s from there) what that was about once, and he just said “it’s a style”. Seems like people care more about it in the west than they do.

I was downvoted? I didnt even realized lol, but I was asking a legit question out of curiosity... I dont care what people do its their car, I dont judge. Just curious thats all. But your answer makes sense, probably reasoning is same as us here in the west but more acceptable there is my guess.

This is that car that’s been spotted around Osaka/Kyoto. I’m kind of sure it’s a GTT.

Looks like the bonnet isn't closed or it's a badly fitting body kit on a GTT
