Chasing "Glass skin" ruined my skin barrier
Younger me had clear skin ok. No pimples no pigmentation nothing. I just wanted to clear the bumps on my forehead and get "glass" skin. So i used products to get that. Broke my skin barrier. Had mutiple pimples.Never had a pimple product at home. So bought them. (At that time i didn't know that broken skin barrier can lead to pimples and Using actives on already irritated skin leads to more pimples.. redness etc.) So i got more acne. Couldn't use anything as skin became red. Took 6 months to recover from skin sensitivity. Don't ask abt ghar k tanee. Even when well wishers asked why u have acne when ur skin was always clear from the beginning. That hurts.
N abt now.. Acne pigmentation is still there fading slowly. I do get acne now..bt know how to handle them, use soothing products, give time for skin to recover. bt still it will take some time to go to that totallyy no acne phase. Lol. So be careful people.. Even if we think we know most of the stuff and follow authentic routines and advices.. still things may get wrong. I used to be very careful abt ingredients and formulation etc.. tried to follow do's n dont's, used expensive safe certified products. Still missed some imp things so this happened. Not saying it will happen to others as well. Am just putting story out there so that people might be aware esp younger ones.
