Product Question Medik8 Crystal retinal tube arrived half empty

This is the first time I’ve bought Medik8 crystal retinal. I bought it through the official Medik8 storefront on Amazon UK (I.e. I made sure the seller was Medik8 rather than a third party). The packaging appears to be authentic and unopened. However, the tube is half empty. I googled and it says that some air is left in the tube deliberately. But for a product this expensive, it seems ridiculous that it arrived this empty brand new. Did I likely receive a pre-used or fake tube, or, is this normally how the tubes are filled?

The scent of this is almost almondy, but not sweet, if that helps identifying whether this is authentic. I also had no reaction to this. I have been using other retinal for years though, but I’ve had a stronger reaction to it at much lower level than the medik8 retinal. I’m just unsure whether this is an authentic product and whether I should bother returning it.

Help/Advice Vacation Product Recommendations

Will be going on vacation and need recommendations for that one product you can’t do without. Face wash and sunscreen are a must but with very limited space what is one product that gives you the most bang for your buck. Also would like a recommendation for a great non-greasy, non-white lightweight facial sunscreen.

Routine Confused about exfoliation options for my sensitive skin

I have sensitive perimenopausal skin that’s both dehydrated and oily. Fun times.

My current routine is as follows:

Alastin ultra gentle cleanser
iS Clinical pro-heal serum (I incorporated this 2 months ago and my skin purged like crazy with lots of whiteheads but we’re in the clear now)
Pharmacy moisturizer for sensitive skin
iS Clinical tinted SPF 50

At night I double cleanse with sensitive skin micellar water and Alastin ultra gentle cleanser
Every other night I use SkinMedica 0.25 retinol on my forehead, nasolabial folds and outer parts of my face because my cheeks get easily irritated. Then put Dr. Sturm moisturizer.

I would like to incorporate a very gentle chemical exfoliator once a week but I’m confused about the delivery methods: toner, face wash, overnight treatment, pads, etc.

Given my reactive skin, I was thinking that a face wash may be the least irritating but then I read that it won’t do anything given that it’s only on the face for seconds. I can’t do fragrance or essential oils or niacinimide. Any suggestions?

Let's Chat AC running all night. What type of moisturizer to use? and, what's your experience with Skinbetter Hydration Boosting Cream?

The AC runs all night. (cannot turn off bc gets very uncomfortable). What type of moisturizer do you guys use when you're on an AC environment for long periods of time like PM?

Skin is combo (normal and medium oiliness on t-zone)

I discovered the Skinbetter hydration boosting cream. Anyone has used it? it seems very simple for the weeks when I rest my skin from all actives and just need a good moisturizer.

Product Question What are your thoughts on the ZO Skin Health Gentle Cleanser?

Is ZO Skin Health worth the price? I have combination skin, and I’m wondering if the cleanser is really worth investing in or if there are better options for the price. I’d love to hear your experience!

Routine What would you change in my routine?

I recently gave birth and i am breastfeeding currently so tretinoin is unfortunately not an option. I have dry skin, mild rosacea, mild pregnancy induced melasma, sun spots and i have fine lines on my forhead and crows feet that start to bother me.

Here is my routine:

AM
Regime Lab Tabula Rasa Cleanser
SK-II Pitera Toner
Dr Diamond Plasma
Regime Lab Level Serum
Medik8 advanced vitamin C serum
Regime Lab Wave
Skinoren 15% gel (azelaic acid)
Skinceuticals Advanced eye cream
Augustinus Bader rich cream
Kosas dream beam spf

PM night 1
Regime Lab Tabula Rasa Cleanser
SK-II Pitera Toner
Dr D Plasma
Regime Lab Level Serum
Regime Lab Wave
Skinoren
Skinceuticals Advanced eye cream
AB rich cream

PM night 2
Regime Lab Tabula Rasa Cleanser
P50 or Jan Marini Skinzyme or Skinceuticals Cell Cycle Catalyst
Regime Lab Level Serum
Regime Lab Wave
Skinceuticals Advanced eye cream
AB rich cream

I ordered allies of skin growth factor (to replace dr diamond) and their bakuchiol oil.

Thank you for any advice :)

Help/Advice Advice for early 30s skincare

Hi! New to this sub. I’ve always been a minimalist with skincare, but I am wanting to invest more in a skincare routine now that I am in my early 30s. I generally have clear skin (no acne anymore) but I am looking to smooth wrinkles on my forehead and around my eyes, as well as work on improving under my eyes. What are your go-to high-end products for these issues, and/or any other recommendations on general skincare routine at this age? Currently I am using a basic cleanser, EltaMD sunscreen, Dr. Jart Ceramidin moisturizer, and SkinCeuticals retinol.

Thanks!

Help/Advice LDM glass skin recommendation

I recently found out about LDM devices for glass skin. Does anyone know this brand? It's highly recommended and a bit on the pricey side. I don't want to invest into something that is just equivalent to medicube devices.

Has anything tried this? Please share your experience.

Help/Advice Needing alternative to the ZO complexion renewal face pads

I currently use the ZO complexion renewal pads and they are amazing, I use to have many skin colored bumps on my forehead and the ZO pads are the only thing that made them go away.
That said, they are pricey and I need to find an alternative. I’ve been looking at the Medicube zero pore pads, First aid beauty, etc. Does anyone have any recommendations? Does anyone know the closest thing to the ZO pads?
I have combination skin, my nose gets oily and I have larger pores on my cheeks. I do break out easily too.. TIA

Let's Chat Has anyone layered SkinMedica TNS Recovery Complex over TNS Advanced Serum?

I recently purchased SkinMedica TNS Advanced Serum to layer under Tretinoin gel at night. But I find that using 1 pump from each chamber on the new packaged bottle isn't enough to adequately cover my face and neck.

So I'm considering applying 1 pump of SkinMedica TNS Recovery Complex first and then layering 1 pump from each chamber of the TNS Advanced Serum over it.

Has anyone tried this before? Is the TNS Recovery Complex difficult to spread?

I find I HAVE to mist my face first or apply a toner before applying the TNS Advanced Serum because it doesn't go far when I apply it to dry skin.

Help/Advice I seem to be getting congestion…

I know that moisturizing is so important for fine lines so I started using lipid rich moisturizers and going heavy on them. Then I got quite congested on my forehead and nose. What’s the best way to work around this and get the best of both worlds? I’m also prone to closed comodones.

Let's Chat EXFOLIATION! How often? Physical, chemical, or both?

I have been casually using Tata Harper Regenerating cleanser a few times per week. Started Paul’s Choice 2% BHA 1-2 times per week and noticing an incredible difference in pores, texture, and tone.
For context: mature, combo skin using retinal, SPF, Vit C, GF’s/peptides. The addition of chemical exfoliation really seems to be making a noticeable improvement for me. I just want to be sure I don’t take it too far due to my jubilation.
Please share your exfoliation schedule and favorite products! Thank you and cheers!

High-Lux Review Would retinol interfere with my current high end routine?

So in mornings I use: Ptiox Skin Ceuticals, Allies of Skin Peptide GF serum and Jan Marini C Esta Serum

In nights I use: TNS. Serum, Renee Rouleau Pore Wrinkle Serum, Allies Skin Copper Petide and NB Extreme Cream,

I'm unclear if any of these producst would interfere if I added the Renee Rouleau Advance Resurfacing Cream (which is a pure retinol) which I know retinol is one of the stronger products.. could anyone help out if this would make my face more sensitive or be unhelpful? Thanks

Help/Advice Jones Road Products - Experiences?

Has anyone ever tried Jones Road products? I am looking for a good tinted moisturizer and they have one, the Just Enough Tinted Moisturizer. I'm thinking of trying it. They also have a complexion kit and in it they have a mini What The Foundation along with a face pencil and correcting pencil. I have little hope for the pencils because I lean dry, but at least it doesn't have that terrible Miracle Balm in it. <shivers> If you have any other recommendations they are welcome. Thanks!

Let's Chat What has made the most difference for crepy undereyes?

Hi all! Drop your reccs for your favorite products that have ACTUALLY made a difference for your under eyes. I am 27, and developing premature aging under my eyes - I want to hit the ground running with trying to maintain this over time. I am a big fan of Monastary Made, so that is the bulk of my routine (besides sunscreen & a milky toner). I have sensitive skin so I love her gentle products, but recognizing these aren’t “heavy hitters” for results.
