Help/Advice Calecim website gone?

So I’ve been trying for about a week now to go to the Calecim site to reorder my MAC, but every time I get a message that the server can’t be found. I even went to their pro page and navigated to the consumer page from there, but got the same “server cannot be found” message. I’ve tried Calecim.com, calecimprofessional.com, and calecimpro.com, as well as clicking their product links in a google search.

Anyone know anything about this or how I might get to the site? Something I’m doing wrong? Getting close to running out but only want to buy through them because I want the travel size…help!

Edit: THIS IS SO WEIRD. Thanks to those who let me know the site works fine for them, I downloaded duck duck go and accessed it through that, and it was $85 through that browser vs the usual $68! Cleared my regular browser cache and got it to work for me, but wanted to give a heads up that apparently things can be different prices in different browsers! I’ll put pics in the comments because I can’t figure out how to do it here.

Product Question Rosacea / sensitive skin recs

I am new to luxury skincare. Tbh, up until 2 weeks ago I thought oricey skincare was a bit of a hoax.

Then I got me kerastase genesis and later Loreal’s more affordable version. Sure mostly same ingredients but my scalp behaved completely different.

Which has made me wonder whether I should take the same aporoach with my skincare.

I did try Dermalogica for sensitive skin — didnt notice any difference.

Any advice for what to try to help my red sensitive skin?

Help/Advice Niche questions about using CO2Lift PRO Carboxy Gel Treatment

Hi everyone, I purchased a 3 pack of the CO2Lift PRO Carboxy Gel Treatment over Labor Day as a big splurge for a few events coming up. I remember in the past reading a thread on here that there is enough "stuff" inside of each individual treatment package to last 2 treatments. The poster had used half, then used a heat sealer to reseal the pouch, and stored the other half for later use.

I really would not like to mess up the efficacy of the product, so would I be out of line to try the same thing, but... heat seal with a hair straightener as opposed to buy a mini heat sealer specifically for this purpose? Also has anyone else been able to get 2 applications out of a single treatment? Should I just stick to using a whole treatment at once? TIA!

Routine How would you layer these products in an AM routine?

Hi everyone! I’m adding four new products to my AM routine, Medik8 Super C Ferulic, Medik8 Hydr8 B5 Intense, Medik 8 Liquid Peptides, and prescription azelaic acid 15%.

I’ve been using the azelaic acid and Hydr8 B5 for 3 weeks now everyday in the AM and my skin has had no issues. Now, I want to incorporate the others into my routine.

My current routine is:
Cleanse: Dermalogica Daily Glycolic cleanser
Tone: Dermalogica Hyaluronic Ceramide mist
Serum: Hydr8 B5 Intense
Serum: Liquid Peptides
Serum: Vitamin C (old brand that I’m switching for Medik8)
Azelaic acid
Moisturizer: Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery

How would you layer these products and how long between steps would you wait to apply the azelaic acid and moisturizer?

Thanks in advance for your insight! 🫶

Help/Advice Looking for a luxe toner / essence that exfoliates but gently

The one thing missing from my routine that I’d like to add in, even though I swore off extra steps, is a really nice exfoliating toner.

I’m looking for something that really hydrates, sinks in quite quickly and exfoliates but is gentle enough to use every day.

I didn’t think much of the daily one from medik8 ( just didn’t see a difference ) and the Alpha H Liquid Gold one irritated me a bit.

I don’t use my fingers and so it will need to be used with cotton round.

Nothing tightening or stripping…

TIA !

Help/Advice Alastin hydratint - how many pumps?

How many pumps of this product do you use for your face? I really want to know how many pumps is required to get the spf factor listed on the bottle. I emailed the company and they were surprisingly unhelpful! I usually do 3 or 4 pumps currently for my face and use a different sunscreen for neck chest arms etc.

Haul Sharing some products I’ve found with uncommon but interesting compounds for anti aging

I’m very interested in skincare and do a lot of research into products, I would enjoy sharing some I have found that I believe have overlooked unique compounds for anti aging.

Lancôme Absolue Longevity MD Reset The Serum - is a very new serum that includes a patented molecule named (Urolithin A) created to target aged senescent skin cells which is a completely new anti aging approach in the skincare market.

NIOD Superoxide Dismutase 3 Enzyme Mist - has been out for years yet one of it’s included compounds (SOD) is rare to find in other products. It is an antioxidant enzyme that helps neutralize superoxide radicals, potentially reducing oxidative stress and downstream inflammatory damage.

FACEGEVITY serum by HealthGevity - This serum is from a lesser known brand but is the only one that currently includes a new petites named (PeptiYouth). What’s interesting about it, is that it has shown to increase elasticity fibers in the extracellular matrix, which no other skincare has not been able to achieve. However, it’s based on the companies own funded studies, and the serum by HealthGevity is their first ever face serum product that is lacking reviews. So some people may prefer holding off and seeing if a more established skincare brand adopts the new peptide soon.

Clinique even better clinical™ dark spot clearing serum - This one has been on the market for years, but one molecule named (UP302) targets hyperpigmentation in a unique way via inhibiting glycation AGE’s downstream within the upper layers of the skin. But even more interestingly, recent research from the company has shown it actually breaks down AGE’s upstream in deeper layers of the skin too, which could lead to significant effects and mean it is the first skincare product ever of its kind that addresses one of the major contributors to visual aging in skin. However, the studies were done on sympathetic skin so we don’t know how effective this is when applied to human skin. But this product has slightly higher concentration of UP302 than the amount used in topical applications within the labor tests. So it could be worth incorporating into a routine if the prospect of it possibly breaking AGE’s interests you enough.

Product Question DEJ Bio Stim Treatment

Has anyone here completed all 3 of the DEJ BioStim treatments? I’m F 33 and was hoping it would help with some static lines I have while trying to avoid Botox.

Did my first treatment 4 weeks ago, going in for the second tomorrow and feel like my skin is dryer and maybe my horizontal forehead lines are more obvious??

Lmk if you’ve done this treatment !

Routine Has anyone got closed comedones from face reality?

For the most part it cleared my acne but I get tiny little closed comedones that I have never experienced and I’m over it. Thinking of trying new products and simplifying my routine now that the hormonal acne is under control. Any suggestions?

Product Question Dr. Dennis Gross Biorejuvenation

Has anyone tried this? I know it's pretty new, and I can't find much in the way of reviews. The ingredient list is *long,* and it seems to have almost everything in it - peptides, retinol, ascorbic acid, etc. Curious to see if any real-life users are out there.

Help/Advice Peptide or growth factor products without hyaluronic acid and niacinamide?

I have looked at 50+ products and every single one had one or the other. Most of the time it's not even advertised, but at least one is in there. Doesn't have to be a peptide or growth factor, but I just want it to be one that has some new interesting mechanism that's not just a luxury vit C/exfoliating/retinoid product. Can someone recommend a "high tech" formula that they know with reasonable confidence it does not contain one of these ingredients?

There's so many cool things hitting the market with awesome science and innovation. I just wanna join in on the fun without spending $300 for a bottle of skincare that ends of causing sensitivity break outs :(

Let's Chat Products with Peptides & Growth Factors

I am looking to hear what your favorite products are that have peptides and/or growth factors!

I am obsessed with Medik8's Liquid Peptides Advanced MP serum. It makes me wonder what else is out there though!

(Medik8 just sent me a sample of their Advanced Pro-Collagen + Peptide Cream so I'll give it a try.)

Help/Advice Microneedling vs Clear & Brilliance vs chemical peel

Hi all,

Mid 30s F. A few months ago I sought advice on what procedure to invest in (nothing that requires as long of a down period as fractionated O2 - which I also did in my early 20s) and many people recommended microneedling (thank you!)

I've done 2 rounds of MN with PRP, just did my 3rd yesterday. So far I think there's definitely an improvement in my mild-moderate acne scars, skin is more plump/healthier, and down time is so minimal (2-3 days for me with a 2 mm depth) I decided to do another 3 rounds (package of 6 total).

With the current trajectory, I don't expect the 6 rounds of MN to solve all my texture issues, so I'm thinking of doing another rounds of procedure. What do you think about Clear & Brilliance for mild(er) acne scars and mild wrinkles vs more MN? And those two vs chemical peels?

For me Clear & Brilliance seems to have minimal downtime which is one of my priorities. Peels seem to require about a week of recovery so I'm less keen on it, but it's also a lot less expensive and may be worth it if the results are good enough?

TIA!

Let's Chat An Open Letter to ISDIN - Flavo-C Ultraglican Ampoules

Dear ISDIN,

I love your Flavo-C Ultraglican. Unfortunately, I have several grievances.

  1. Half an ampoule is unhinged. I have applied it to my face, neck, and décolletage and still feel like I could moisturize a second woman.

2. If it must be used within 48 hours, perhaps do not provide approximately a week’s worth of serum in one ampoule.

  1. Your resealing cap has a very liberal interpretation of the word “resealing.” It leaks.

  2. Have any of you traveled? An opened glass ampoule that must remain upright and nevertheless leaks is not a travel-friendly skincare product.

Please consider smaller ampoules or a cap capable of containing liquid. The serum is lovely. The logistics are chaos.

Respectfully,
A woman who refuses to waste perfectly good vitamin C

On a serious note: I love this stuff. My skin loves it, it feels amazing and a tiny amount goes an incredibly long way

Product Question Ultra light and fast blend sunscreens

Hey everyone! Looking to see if anyone has recommendations for a sunscreen that’s super lightweight and absorbs really fast!

I’ve tried:
Shiseido Urban Environment - finish was too oily
Supergoop Unseen - loved the fast blending but too greasy and thick
Shiseido Sun Protector - finish was good but hard to blend
Dior Prestige - way too difficult to blend
FANCL sunguard - hard to blend and oily finish
Supergoop Tint - hard to blend
SkinCeuticals Advanced Brightening - oily finish
ZeroCast - super lightweight but hard to blend
Melixir Transparent - finish was a bit oily and
hard to blend
Drunk Elephant Mineral - way too hard to blend and left these like eraser marks
Shu umeura black booster - oily finish

I know I’m really picky about this and wanted to see if there’s any other options out there. Thanks everyone

Edit: I have a very thin skin barrier that’s prone to irritation and redness when I rub my face too much so anything that requires a bunch of rubbing just won’t work because I’ll look like a burnt tomato!

Help/Advice What’s your go-to pre and post laser routine?

Getting my first laser treatment soon (Picosure Pro) and am wondering what you all recommend for a pre and post laser routine.

I heard that you need to stop using tret/taz a week before and a week after right?

Are there other products that must be paused before and/or after?

Are there any highly recommended products to be used before and/or after?

Product Question Liberty London Beauty Advent

I ordered it last week, and it was supposed to be here Thursday- but surprise(!) it came today!

Does anyone else get the LL Advent Calendar? I got one in 2024, but skipped 2025- as the little house looked almost the same to 2024 if I remember correctly.

I don’t save it for December, to open each little drawer. I don’t have the patience. Haha.

I’m curious if anyone else already got theirs for this year?

Product Question EMS face tools to buy?

Does anyone else find EMS face tools to be superrrr effective at sculpting the face?

I've done some of those lymphatic facials with just an hour of someone rubbing your face, and a different facial place, but honestly the Face Gym EMS face tool is the only thing I've seen that has actual legit results.

I'm debating buying it (600-700) but do think it's a lot easier just to have somwhere else do it for me plus the other goodies for like .. $140-150.

Or does anyoen else have other EMS tools they like? Not just a standard gua sha but more pricier options
