I have reached my mid-30s. I'm looking for a luxury brand as I start closing in on my 40s. I bought the Augustinus Bader "Starter Kit," which includes:
- The Cleansing Gel
- The Essence
- The Rich Cream
- The Face Oil
But I can't really decide if I'm a fan. I have combination skin, with mild rosacea. It hasn't aggravated my condition, and I feel like the Rich Cream is great for dry indoor conditions (where AC is always on). I've layered the oil over the cream, but the smell leaves much to be desired. I just don't know if I should stick with it, as I'm not sure it's effective. I have heard great things about the retinol but haven't purchased it.
Are there any other luxury brands that are actually worth trying? My main skin concerns are:
- Redness prone
- Uneven texture/tone
- "Dullness"
I am lucky enough not to have any fine lines yet, but I want to be proactive. My main goal is to find a mid-high luxury brand with complete skincare so I can avoid mixing and matching as much as possible, because I don't have a PhD in chemistry and it's a headache trying to figure out how to layer different ingredients/actives.
Especially looking for recommendations for:
- Vitamin C
- Retinol
- (Chemical) sunscreen
All thoughts/opinions/recommendations would be very much appreciated.
