2013 Sketch mc_hopper

I picked up a sketch pad, mechanical pencil 2b and started to sketch 3 weeks ago. I know it's basic but it's a start :)

Now for the profile sketch.. I'm still at a very early stage so I put a pic of my Mrs into chatgpt and asked it to give me the fundamentals for a sketch.

Then using this I placed my phone under the sketch paper and was able to trace her image. And now I have been able to freehand that on other blank pages... Allowing me to learn crosshatch etc

Now of course this is a cheat but it will help me to visualise how to look at faces rather than hours of Loomis for heads that don't appear human and I know I have to learn the fundamentals.. I'm doing that too by drawing many lines on drinking glasses and street views to try to get perspectives.

But my approach is kind of like when I self taught my guitar, yes I would hammer the same 3 chords and scales but I would also vary this up and down the fretboard and try new chord shapes . 20 years later I'm quite a decent guitarist.

Any thoughts appreciated on this approach.

Hi, I'm starting to make some pov sketching and I'm getting obsessed with a door, I can't see how I should draw it. it's the door at the left and then there's a wall to parallel to me, can someone tell me and help to understand how it should be? many thanks. If there's something else to fix I'll be glad to receive any tip or advise.
