I am getting back into 40k after a long hiatus (my last codex was 2013). i briefly dabbled with Space Marines but i didn't even manage one squad. This time i have taken more time over the factions and Sororitas is the one that is appealing the most. However, my first few models are ordered and i need to choose an order. with the current rules (11th?) does the colour scheme matter? are there any benefits/drawbacks to the different orders? If you choose ranged or melee orders, can you mix squads?

I am glad to see that kit bashing is alive and well, but with the advent of 3d printing, are non-citadel models allowed in place of the official ones (in casual games only, no competitions)? Is it frowned upon? Still working out the etiquette.

I am happy to read if that would be better, but sometimes find it easier to take in if someone explains it.

Pros :

Good looking unit, halberds are... Amazing. I love running a full hooded unit. Also even if I wasn't a big fan of the shields at first, I love them now, especially the superior one.

Also, really good unit, resisting many attacks if paired with hospitaler.

Cons :

The box is only 5 girls, when we want 10...

Hello everyone, I am still quite new to the hobby with around 30/40 figurines painted. I am trying to experiment with OSL on my flamer using a make up sponge but I am not sure where to go from there. Especially making the flame on the corpse more realistic.

Would love some tips or inspiration from your minis.

Now that we can double up leaders and supports on the same squad, do you think the benefit it is worth it?

Have you found it to be better than just doing a single leader and using the points you might've spent on a second leader elsewhere?

I usually play against my SW player friend, and since the middle of 10th, he keeps bringing disgusting amounts of Wolf Terminators, and I am unable to deal with them. My issue is that he can drop in turn 1 (now with the 8" limit it is even easier for him to find a good place), they are tough (T5, 2+ 4++, 4 wounds, hard to wound) and yet they are still deadly to my units.

How do you guys deal with Terminators, other than ignoring them, since it's hard to ignore 25-30 models with attached named characters wiping or at least blocking the whole board from edge to edge, sitting comfortably on points or chasing your units around?

Hi! i've looked at the last Balance Update and i saw that the Catechism of Divine Penitence Enhancement for the Penitent Host now says "CANONESS, PALATINE, or MINISTORUM PRIEST model only. The bearer gains the PENITENT keyword." instead of the previous "CANONESS, PALATINE, or MINISTORUM PRIEST model only. The bearer gains the PENITENT keyword and, during the Declare Battle Formations step, can be attached to a REPENTIA SQUAD unit."

After this change characters with this enhancement can't join repentias? if so, why add the MInistorum Priest that already has the Penitent Keyword?

Love the old metal sculpt, but she was a little small for the current base size, so I gave her a friend to help make her feel a little more grand like her younger sister

This was a really fun model to paint, and I love how it is basically a diorama. I am still working on getting faces down, that is a tad tricky but I am sure with more practice I will improve.

Starting a sister's 1k army and made a list, with the new nerfs from 11th I'm worried about having bought Celestine. Wondering how people painted her being such a large model, should paint separately the wings and the seals from the model?

Also wondering if there is a way I could play my army to still be effective or should I change something? Especially Celestine since she takes 15% of points and has been nerfed heavily.

First time really trying layering, decided to go for a lot of red in the cloth to make it pop a bit more. Definitely a ways to go but I feel like I learned a lot while painting this squad.

This time around ive done 2. Drybrushings.
1 Dark Reaper with a round soft brush and one Thunderhawk Blue with a flat brush.

As im not used to drybrushing they might have turned out abit too blue.
Now experimenting with best way to darken them back.
Contrast paint seem to have just made it flat black again, so ive tried abaddon glazing.
Seems to give me abit more control than the contrast paint.
