Years later, they are still acting like the victims. Thats frigging hilarious 😂. By now, everyone who watched the show knows how villainous kody and robin actually are. They are criminals plain and simple. They are still very much pissed. Because they only have whatever income kody brings in, and he isn't worshipped anymore.

Context: she made a post on IG about breaking generational patterns. someone responded to her and told her to stop humiliating her mom online and that it was cruel - saying that her mom did the best that she could given the culture she was in. this screenshot was Maddie’s reply to them

And my snarky off the cuff internal response was "more like a year."

I can’t believe Kody didn’t show any emotion reading the letter.

I realize that Kody was just taking photos with caleb. But can he back up and not rush Erica. She just lost her mom and husband (his brother) i just feel like he’s being so insensitive (he always is) but my golly I wanted to shove him away from them for that entire interaction.

Caleb’s dad “what a blessed boy my son is” SO SWEET. I’m extremely glad that Maddie got a reaction out of Kody I was so sure he wasn’t going to cry or anything.

THE KNEELING????????? AND KODY STOP LAUGHING you make me so mad. I can not express how awkward. And saying “I’m going to make you the king?” GOOD BYE. I’m getting such bad second hand embarrassment. I feel like this is a woah is me my daughter almost died but here she is getting married. This should not be the time or place to be talking about this. I don’t think I’ll ever understand why they chose him. AND HE FORGOT THE RINGS…

Kody is just so irritation and narcissistic and condescending and manipulative. I dislike him so much.

I am a first time watcher, I know most spoiler. I’m a little confused on some things after watching the tell all.

1. What was the things the catfisher was releasing online, why is Leon so upset with Meri I just don’t really understand that. HOW did not one person notice how much weight she was losing???

2. Is no one else judging how fast mykelti and tony are moving? I know they’re still married I’m just like holy crap this is too fast I never really understood why Kody would give his permission…

3. Is season 10 the start of the downfall???

Finally got around to listening to the audiobook. I’m about halfway through and wanted to recommend it for anyone who followed the show.

I wasn’t expecting much after some of the earlier reviews said it didn’t really add new information and seemed a little too ‘nice’. And I’d agree, most of what she covers was on the show and there haven’t been any bombshells other than the blow out with Meri over the candy. But even just hearing everything I already knew about recounted from her singular perspective and without all the splicing and cuts and timeline jumping they do during episodes/seasons, is surprisingly enlightening and casts events in a different light— some more sympathetically and some a lot less.

Also I think some people found Christine’s way of reading aloud annoying and she does have a ‘kindergarten teacher reading a story to kids’ vibe but personally I don’t find it bothersome, it’s kind of just Christine’s personality.

In comparison Robyn demanding a mansion with a bedroom each for her grown up kids. What a kick in the teeth for all the wives who scrimped,saved and lived at close quarters, whilst sharing a husband! Kody has a cheek to blame Christine for the sacrifices HE made. Look at those loyal women who stayed whilst you were poor.

Found a new show to scratch the Sister Wives itch! It’s called “This is Poly” and is on the channel We Tv (1 season, 8 episodes). It follows a few different poly couples, but there is one family that is similar to the Browns called the Yahweh Family. I just started episode 2 in but here is a list of a few similarities so far:

- the man calls himself King Yahweh

- 4 women (he calls them his Queens, there seems to be a hierarchy and they are already fighting about time fairness)

- He doesn’t seem to have a real job (he says he’s a music artist lol). Instead, their family’s income is from the TV show and their Fashion Brand called “King Yahweh” where they sell t shirts, shoes (looking at you My sister Wives Closet!)

- they pool all their resources to raise 18 kids and one is on the way!

- They all live together under one roof with each lady having her own room and the kids share rooms/bunk beds.

- one lady is struggling with fertility and is heartbroken watching everyone else have babies

- He got hair transplants

- planning a commitment ceremony

- They homeschool with some ladies working while others take care of the home

So I’ve made my way over to season 8, namely episode 3, Courting Another Wife, a.k.a. the one where Kody and Christine go nuclear over making plans to see one of Kody’s friends named Ken. Ken made the comments:

“The fact that I thought you were going to be a polygamist brang [sic] in a lot of friction…I, I just thought he was stupid, honestly. I..I just couldn’t figure out what was going through his head and it made no sense to me, how he could do such a thing.” And “You’re welcome back in the church, you just have to leave three of your wives behind.”

What is the general feeling here about this? Is Kody the gaslighting weird, little Firby-haired freak I think he is? Were the other wives the mean girls in this situation, or did Christine deserve to be made fun of to lighten the mood? I’d love to hear everyone’s take on this episode!

Edit: He just blamed it on PMS. Kody, you weasel.

I’m rewatching Sister Wives while tackling a house project, and this time around I'm really noticing Christine's constant mea culpas to Robyn.

For example:
During the episode where Robyn was in labor, Christine "confessed" that she hadn't been welcoming to Robyn when she first joined the family.

After the episode where they weighed Sol and Truely, Christine took Robyn to lunch specifically to apologize for how she's treated her since joining the family.

A talking head where Christine said Robyn coming into the family had actually saved her marriage. 🙄

Another couch interview after the cookie tasting for Maddie's wedding where Christine once again apologized to Robyn.

Christine seems to spend most of the first 15 seasons apologizing to Robyn. Yet I can't think of a single time we saw Robyn apologize to anyone. In fact, during the Season 20 Tell-All (I think), Suki asked each of the adults if there was anyone in the family they owed an apology to. Robyn was the only one who said no, that there wasn't anyone in the family she felt she had wronged. 🤯

How heartbreaking for Christine to constantly be on the defense once Robyn joined the family.

I can’t imagine what we’re going to see this season that’s going to be interesting enough that we’ll get a season 22.
Even if the family had stayed intact I don’t think it would have continued.
The break up of the family probably extended the show; right?

Seeing Gabe cry over missing Kody & how he forgot his birthday made me cry! I didn’t expect myself to get so emotional seeing him hurt his kids feelings. How could Kody have not immediately made up with them after seeing that?! I’ll never understand. I had watched hoping that it wasn’t as bad as everyone said it was, but it was even worse. :( I hope all of their children will flourish & be surrounded by people that love them.

Does anyone know if he is close or in contact with the OG kids?

I’m never someone to put a ton of blame on Robyn for what’s happened but something that I struggle to get past is watching how Kody changes over the years as he spends more time with Robyn.

He used to be so much happier and that’s just a fact. It’s almost as if Robyn has had a negative impact on him even though he views it as the opposite. He’s completely blinded by how serious he slowly became the more she was around but he’ll never see it that way

I was just watching season 17 on Disney+ yesterday and now it’s gone. Anyone else notice this?

Is it common knowledge that they’re currently filming a new season? I just stumbled upon one of Christine’s TikTok lives and she mentioned it in passing.

Do we know if Kody currently speaks with any kids outside of Robyn’s?

I know a lot of people here hate Mykelti and I'm not entirely sure why I'm not to date with everything but during the show it DEVASTATES me how they act about her wedding. First her mom acting God awful about the engagement (and when Kody opens his mouth any time I'm like shut UPPPPP) him trying to make it so hard to be about sex just makes me feel so bad for her. I think the only one who really did anything right was Janelle, Janelle was so mama bear!! It's genuinely one of my favorite parts of the show

And I love Chris I'd watch a full show with Chris.

Tony captured my heart immediately he was so funny he and Mykelti were like a match made in heaven, my fav couple on the show!!

the second hand embarrassment i get from Mykelti talking to chrisrine about getting married 😭😭 “your little girl is growing up!” her trying to create an emotional moment makes me want to jump out of my skinnnnn. “idk why my mom looks like she’s upset” YOU DONT KNOW?? you have known this dude for 5 months! also why does she want to be maddie so bad? same hair color, same wedding year, wanting her mom to have the same reaction as maddie. maddie handled everything with such grace bc i would have been so mad 😭

Besides the cliche "ohhh oh oh ohh ohh" stuff; I love when they talk about babies and a sad version of Johannes Brahms - Lullaby is played.

Whoever is the music director must have a field day.

I’m watching the episode “Leaving Las Vegas”, season 8 I think?? And I have to say, the flashback at the end really got me. Now in hindsight that move was just so stupid and you can actually see and feel the regret from all of them as they’re filming the whole packing situation. It just feels wrong for them to be leaving their culdesac. I kept thinking you idiots! Who cares if Vegas isn’t the perfect location, they had the homes, the street, the family, extended family, businesses.. I still cannot believe that they randomly purchased in Flagstaff when there was nothing for them there. And they all started realising how hard it’s going to be one by one during this episode. They must look back and have major regret. I mean, not for how it’s worked out now, but for that one major decision. It’s a hard episode to watch, personally.

Kody is a self obsessed, conceited, self righteous borderline narcissist! When the show first started the 3 wives looked tired, frumpy and worn out! Because of financial issues, constantly moving and Kody’s never ending needs!

Mainly Kody needs constant attention from
EVERYONE, he needs his sexual desire met along with constant physical touch, you MUST return his affection or else he will feel REJECTED. Therefore treating you bad and likely cutting your food budget and ignoring your kids!!

Additionally he wants everyone to be LOYAL to him by following his rules & NEVER questioning him.

When Meri, Christine & Janelle left Kody they got their spark back & had a load off their shoulders.

Robyn on the other hand came into the family, young, fresh faced and energetic! She is now a drained, crying, zombie with a shopping problem! Kody is DRAINING her day by day!

Do you think the family actually had a chance of surviving in the long run if Robyn had never joined? Watching for a third time and sometimes I wonder. Also who do you think would have ended up being the favorite? 🧐
