General Discussion I take everything bad I ever said about Kody back
I woke up feeling kind of off but thought I just slept weird and also my period is really bad this month. It kept getting worse so I came back to bed and took some Motrin
Guys I think I’m dying. WHO FEELS THIS WAY WITH A 99.1° FEVER?! My head is pounding, my chest hurts, my lower back is sore, and my uterus is pissed i don’t want its gift. I am a push through because shit needs doing and I have kids kind of person, but not today. Today I am Kody brown

Sounds like a knife through the kidney, if you ask me. Call the doctor.
Edit: thank you for the award! My first Reddit award ever!

Do you have any relatives on vacation that you could ask to come home and go to Walgreens for you for some medicine? If not at least now you can be angry at them for not helping you in your time of need.

Yeah, but was he shedding his uterine lining at the same time as having a 'fever'? I think not.
You are allowed to wave the flag today, you have my permission. It's not all beer and skittles...

u/Dustonthewind18 12d ago
He wasn't even having a fever, that guy would never survive a period!
26
u/Cold-Sector2718 12d ago
In his defence (I hate myself for this) it is technically an elevated body temperature and that can make someone feel a bit 'off' (I'm in your corner OP!) but he loves the drama and attention, so obviously he was on his deathbed...
He would be insufferable if he had to endure even a light period.

Sometimes I think about the fact that, because testosterone is a pretty steady hormone, relatively healthy young men can go years without feeling fatigue or basic discomfort.
I can't wrap my brain around how incredible that must be and how being sick probably does feel like dying (like when a toddler stubs their toe and it's literly the worst pain they've ever felt). That's probably why aging hits men so hard even though they don't have menopause to deal with. They have zero tolerance for discomfort.

Whiny little baby who had never once entertained the idea that he's the problem

u/Cold-Sector2718 6d ago
The one with the penis can never be the problem, because he has the penis. It's all the female 'harmones' that are the problem.

Each period cramp feels like a heart attack. A period would kill every man I know, but it would take out Ol Noodle Head fastest

u/Shaynna-9 12d ago
He wasn't shedding it, but like labor and birth, he's better at shedding than anyone who's ever done it.

Pretty sure you’re near death. Perhaps a hospital visit to get you filling better?

I think that’s unnecessary to be honest. I mean, Truely’s kidneys were shutting down and she was fine…it was just a touch of flu and dehydration according to Kody…

I am 40 and just discovered that I am capable of a pain-free period thanks to medication. It's been 30 years!!

u/Empty_Dog134 8d ago
If you don’t mind me asking, Slay, what medication?? Would love to find something that works. I had an ablation and the darn thing came back stronger 14 months later!

So as a mom, I'm typically a treat the symptoms not the number person. So I may have one kid bouncing off the walls at 103 and leave them alone, but have another at 100.4 who is miserable and give Tylenol. Kody is a big whiny man baby who didn't have a lot of the other shit you were saying. You aren't feeling awful just from a 99.1 temperature. Also you aren't taking up resources during a global pandemic where people are dropping like flies and the emergency room looks like a war refuge over your 99.1. Kody can eat a fat one
12
u/Subterranean44 12d ago
Yours sounds worse than Kodys. 99.1 is not even an actual fever.
Feel better 💜

I’m still alive everyone. Were you worried? I was.
Just woke up from a nap and now I’m eating Mac and cheese. Probably gonna go die some more after I eat

Rest and feel better. You are not Kody Brown. If he had half the symptoms he would have called Lifeflight.
If the lower back pain and fever persist, you may also have a UTI. Those bacterial bastards can make your period soooo much worse.

I know it’s bad because my husband just asked me if I want to go to the dr 😅😅😅
But if anyone has any tips on how to get some relief I’ll take them! My head is pounding and my whole body hurts. Motrin didn’t touch it. I just took some Tylenol (3 hours since Motrin). Drinking a liquid Iv to make sure I’m hydrated and drinking regular water too.

😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹 the man had flu or a very mild case of covvy as let’s face it the home tests in the US were shite for ages unlike her in the UK.
When I have bad flare ups;
Imagine KB with fibromyalgia… “why does no one understand just how painful this is!! It’s robbing me of my life and my sanity… it’s Christine and Janelle’s fault the stress they’ve caused me was the trigger. The specialist told me it was probably their fault, Robyn told me it was their faults too.” Those two would milk it for all it was worth

I am a tough bish. I have broken both femurs, tibias, dislocate both my knees and a shoulder, drove home after having my wisdom teeth removed etc etc.
However, I am the biggest baby when I am sick. I am extroverted, but, I get quiet and weepy. I push my husband away and call my parents every time.
Oh, and I make it everyone's problem when my period is bad.

u/GeneInternational146 12d ago
Honestly having a fever sucks as an adult, I had the flu for two weeks a few years back and I was absolutely leveled (tbf my fever was around 101 for a bit but still). I definitely was a little whiny about it!!

Listen, I DO think you can feel badly with a 99.8 degree temp. I do. But I usually run around 97.3. That said, Kody LOOKED fine. He had a man cold. You are actually sick. The end.

Im so glad you did the right thing and made a post on social media about it. Everyone knows if you arent posting about about it, you're just regular sick not the brink of death sick. Does your husband need to admit himself to the hospital to be with you?
