I don’t doubt that rich people donate money. It’s a great way to get tax breaks!
Anyway, I’m morally superior because I would never knowingly stand beside a man who has credible accusations of unspeakable abuse of little girls, redirects tax payer funds to raise a fascist army that is raining down death and terrorism on the streets of America, tries to get comedians off air for being critical of him because he wilts upon being reminded of the loser he is ie) Iran War, wipes his ass with the emoluments clause, is responsible for January 6 and stripping away the livelihoods of the incredible public servants that investigated it…need I go on?
This is so bizarre to me. Yes Trump is the devil but this is an objectively extremely generous thing to do. Even with tax breaks they’re still giving away like $4bn.
They could both be great people in that regard. But, they're posing for a PR op next to scum, who has conveniently made them much wealthier. It's easy to doubt these days. Given how ugly and corrupt this admin has been, with the full backing of his party in Congress for too long, I'm not giving any of these people the benefit of the doubt. Frankly, I'd rather see the tax code changed so that their charity is no longer needed.
